Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

What: Dorm log! SUMMER BREAK EDITION!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

[Should one be lucky enough to see the hermit of a hedgehog out of his little dungeon (a.k.a dorm), it's likely due to wandering around for important business. A truancy officer's work is never really done, even in off hours, so luckily, that brings him out and around!

Should someone want to find him in his room, however, he is easier to locate him. He tends to be either reading, drinking tea, eating, indulging in some pudding, writing just about anything that comes to mind that might prove fascinating, using the computer... basically, all a bunch of pretty boring stuff.

Dare you bother him?]

[GROANS. Okay, this is getting annoying. Shadow rises from his bed, placing his book face-down to have his page kept, and steps for the window to open it.

[ Say hello to your resident blue hedgehog on your neighboring thick tree branch. ]

'Sup? I'm bored.

[obfuskate]

No.

[And so he promptly closes the window.]

Rifling through your closet

[breaks_pots]

[*ahem* 'Opening a treasure chest in your room'

Yes. That was what Link was doing. He'd somehow managed to get into Shadow's room and was now searching through the closet BIG chest he'd found for any hint of treasure.

...there wouldn't happen to be gold rings in there, would there, Shadow?]

[NOPE. Just a bunch of gloves and shoes and human clothes and a few knick-knacks.

That treasure chest isn't going to be a lonely place for long, however, for in a matter of moments...

WOOSH. Door is opened, and there is a very disgruntled Shadow looming over him.]

... What are you doing here.

[breaks_pots]

[Link turns around, a too-big shirt falling down over his shoulders as he stood up. His right hand was wearing one of Shadow's gloves and the left wore a shoe. He gave Shadow a very dead-pan look and calmly replied:]

Looking for treasure.

[obfuskate]

[UGH. At least that's not one of his Air Shoes, or else that would be... very problematic.]

There is no treasure here.

...

Take those off.

[breaks_pots]

...

These are treasure. I want to keep them.

[obfuskate]

Those are mine. You cannot keep them.

[He glares down at him. If you try to steal his stuff, he'll be able to reprimand you, boy.]

[majorjealousy]

[Nose buried in a book, Jin almost trips over the much smaller creature! Will he apologize?]

[Apparently not.]

Graghh--!

[He catches himself from falling flat on his face, and after regaining that stability, he whips around, angry eyes bearing into Jin's.]

Watch where you are going.

[majorjealousy]

I didn't see you down there.

[obfuskate]

[He really can't get an expression any flatter than this. Those angry eyes settle into something far more unimpressed as his body and face releases some tension..]

... Because you have your nose buried in your book.

[majorjealousy]

I tend to be well-aware of recklessness when I see it.

Think of this as Left 4 Dead, with GLaDOS as the witch. DON'T WAKE THE WITCH, SHADOW

[So Shadow, you like books, right? Well, books are found in the library...which is a place GLaDOS likes to avoid since Wheatley's there. However, there are the rare times when he's NOT there, and she can finally relax in peace. This is one of those times, as evidenced by 1) no spherical moron in sight and 2) GLaDOS is just sitting on the couch, reading a book and completely ignoring anything around her.

Considering how well your last encounters have gone, perhaps it's best to just avoid her all together. Or, you know, you could piss her off.]

[Oh.

Of course she's going to be there.

And of course she has to be in his favorite couch.

Normally, he did not really care, seeing as there are many other seats around, but GLaDOS... no. Just no. Something about this particular AI left him unsettled and disgruntled in more ways than one. Oh, how haughty she is when she cannot even compare to the Ultimate Life.

At that moment, the hypocrisy meter rises just a little more.

He steps over, a small stack of scientific reading in his arms, and he peers over his books with a scowl.]

Go somewhere else.

RUN, SHE'S GONNA SUCK THE FUN OUT OF EVERYTHING

[GLaDOS doesn't even bother looking up from her book, continuing to read "How to deal with idiots 101" as if Shadow never said anything. That is, until she gets to the end of the chapter she was on, finally responding...]

No.

[She says that flatly, before continuing to read.]

[He glares down at her menacingly. That couch? His. Totally his. Move yo' AI ass.]

[Shadow, it's cute how you think you can phase her. You're a 3'3" tall hedgehog, you don't exactly scream "FEAR ME", you know. Besides, she can barely see you over the top of her book.]

Wrong again, I said it as if you gave me a suggestion, one I clearly turned down. Points for trying, I suppose. Not that it really matters.

[She flips to the next page, reading its contents before speaking again.]

Besides, don't you have a mole to keep a leash on?

Any pet can be left unattended with a strongly-tied leash.
