Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

[ A quick grin and a suddenly flip through the window Christ, he really is later and Sonic is sitting on the sill, back to the world and a smile at Shadow.

A hand with a yellow lollipop in it, presented to Shadow like a flower to a date. Oh. ]

Slowly... taking that lollipop and kind of staring flatly at it.]

... A lollipop.

Why a lollipop?

The idea of Shadow saying 'lollipop' blows my mind.

[ He coughs a tad and hops off his seat, approaching Shadow to reach for the lollipop. He's just trying to tear the wrapper off. ]

Y'even had candy before? Or just all that pudding in your fridge? [ That may or may not still be there. ]

... I don't have that much pudding.

[Yeah that's what he wants you to think. He goes over to shut the window, not wanting anything flying inside of his room.]

I have had a couple of candies. [Ones that Maria tried to feed him.] They are disgusting and blatantly artificial.

[ It's okay, Shadow. He's already taken some. He knows what you got.

Sonic tosses the clear wrapper into a bin (miraculously) and when he's back to Shadow, he pinches the lollipop stick and takes it back for a moment. ]

Well, this is a gift, so you should eat it.

[ He also spent $20 on it.

Granted it was $20 he found in the pants Shadow let him use, so technically Shadow paid for it, but still. Sonic had him in mind! ]

[THANKFULLY SHADOW DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT THAT MONEY.]

[He grabs the sucker and gives it a small, experimental lick.

...

He then licks it again. And again. And again. He isn't sure how to pinpoint the flavor, but...]

It is... not bad.

Oh. Lord. Here it comes.

See? Y'just had to try it!

[ He pulls one of his own out, and - no surprises here - it's a blue one. ]

You really gotta quit putting stuff down before you try it.

[ He yanks the wrapper off his lolli, chucking it in the same bin before he pops it right into his mouth and grins. ]

SCARY TIMES.

... Hm. You may be right...

[He laps his tongue over it again and again, and then he sticks the whole thing into his mouth. Wow, it does taste good. In fact, it's... kind of addicting.

His tail begins to sway, a gentle `mm` escaping him.]

[ Sonic inhales through his nose, the inflation floating a smile up to his face. The small things in life were some of the best, and seeing Shadow take on the arduous task of being even a little happy and satisfied? Worth all his efforts.

For someone so adament about candy loathing, Sonic is rather proud he picked a good sweet for him. ]

You're welcome. [ He migrates to sit down on his bed, his own lollipop getting a lazy amount of attention between his teeth and cheek. He let's it idle there, every so often shifting his tongue to work on the sweet flavor. ]

These are pretty good.

Mm, yes... Quite.

[Shadow joins him on the bed, sinking into its warmth and discovering that it is a lot more comfortable than he once thought. Now, the bed feels like... heaven. Like a cloud. He nestles himself deeper into the plush mattress, a little moan pushing through his throat and keeping within closed lips.

He rolls the lollipop in his mouth from one side to the other, keeping it between his cheek and teeth...

... and he smiled.

Uh oh.]

In fact... this may be the best candy I have ever had.

[Ah, so relaxing. Such a nice day, just him, Sonic, and their candies. Oh, yes...]

OH DEAR LORD, ARE WE GONNA NEED A BUCKET OF WATER

[ Sonic can't quite pin it... but when he blinks, it sorta feels like his eyelids are giggling. Like two little kids floating up into his ears and laughing.

Ah, no, wait, that's him. ]

Mmmhmhm. Yeah. The one was like, twenty bucks. It was worth it. I don't regret a thing.

[ He gives Shadow a little nudge, but doesn't actually follow it up with anything. ]

[Shadow shifts at the nudge, yet he scoots a little closer, finding himself a little more laidback over Sonic's, er... advances. Why should he care? He's just touching him, and that's totally okay. Yep. Life's pretty okay. Preeeeetty okay.

He sucks on his pop a little more, giving a small hum.]

Twenty bucks. That is certainly not cheap, but I can see why.

[If it were Shadow in a normal state of mind, he would have retaliated, disgusted at Sonic just wasting money like that, but right now, it didn't matter. Life is good. Not worth being a grump over.

And at that thought, he chuckled.

[ Sonic slooo....oooooooooowly turns his head to look at Shadow as if he just turned into a cupcake.

Wait, did he? No. He's.

Man, he really wants some cake. This lollipop isn't cutting it now. ]

[He brings a hand up, laughing into his palm.]

[As in, yeah, he's laughing. Yeah, he really is, and gosh, he feels like he's kinda floating. This is really nice.]

And the campus was raided by walruses.

Oh, man! I need a camera for this... [ He reaches back into his spines. ] Ahh, I don't have one'a those...

[ He can't help but suddenly start laughing, too, closing his eyes and quickly feeling tears bubbling at their corners. Oh, was he really laughing that hard?

Yeah. Yeah, he was. ]

Shadow!! [ Just as Sonic opens his eyes to look at Shadow, something else catches his attention. He has his eyes right on the floor beneath, green gems meeting the glisten of brown and orange tiles. ]

.... Dude, Shadow, did you just get your floors done?

Haha... Sonic. [He rolls over, red eyes glazed as he peers over to him.] You are a good friend.

[ Sonic's eyes are still watching the floor, getting this impression that it was extending. Further... further out. Shadow's room was stretching out far in front of him, dipping down off into the distance as if they were now on top of a hill. Woooah this was getting weird.

He looks away from it for just a moment to acknowledge Shadow's words, though he doesn't seem entirely focused. He couldn't look away from the floor for too long. What if that sucker went bonkers because he took his eyes off'a it?! ]

I know... [ Not even stoner pops could tone that ego down. ] Glad y'finally got the message, faker. Hehehh. [ He quickly snaps to look at the floor.

CRAP WHERE DID ALL HIS FURNITURE GO?! The floor... it ate it. That tricky fiend. Shadowwas gonna be pissed! ]

[Hahaha.

Hehehehehahahaheheheheheh. Nope. Not finishing that. Just... kind of laughing a little and wow the world is bright and everything feels awesome. He's gonna fly away now, fly away now.]

[ Sonic's eyes narrowed as something began to crop up from the ground. They were hazy at first, some foggy semblance of perfectly aligned shapes; rows of them, like fields of vegetables. Neatly organized and on a grid. One giant, mathematical lookin' world.

His eyes began to expand again after a slow blink, an enormous array of blue and red spheres just waiting for him to grab them. ]

Hoooooly....

I remember these guys.

[ Sonic turns to Shadow, an arm up and pointing out toward them, ready to give him a little look into his past. ]

Shad--

[ Stare.

STARE.

BLUE SPHERE.

ON THE BED. Oh my GOD, IT HAS LEGS. Why does it have legs?
He looked to the stationary ones. They didn't have legs!
Back to the one next to him.

LEGS.

WAS HE GOING TO HAVE TO CHASE IT?! ]

[ His arms slowly rise in its direction, hands preparing to snatch it should it try to run away. ]

[He is completely not sure what he means by `these guys`, but what he does know is Sonic is informing him so blatantly that he needs him. He obviously isn't able to see the blue spheres, the only hint of blue being the hedgehog beside him.

He is completely fine with that.

The euphoric hedgehog hoists himself in Sonic's direction, his arms snaking around him from behind. Shadow presses his cheek into his back, being careful with his spines, and...

[ Awwwright. It came to him. Cool! That'd save him a lot of trouble. Man, it was a really friendly sphere, too. Just wanted huuuuggss and all that peaceful jazz.

Sonic twisted until he could get an arm around the sphere, chuckling in his euphoric haze. He didn't know they could talk! ]

Yeah, man, I seriously need ya. I can't move on without ya!

[Shadow's breathing hitched, halting in its place as he felt that arm around him, heard those words from him, and then...

He smiled.

Nothing can get better than this. He pulled him closer, rubbing a cheek onto his. He wasn't sure why he was so happy, so outward, but you know what? In this high state, he doesn't give a shit. Life is good and it should feel good.]
