Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

[Life sure is dull and boring when the Patriots aren't involved and neither are AIs. Chances are Snake is tending to a pack of Moslems. If he's caught in his classroom, he's at the whiteboard, making a list of practical (and some not-so-practical) uses for boxes.

Otherwise, he'll be in his room reading or at the bar, getting drunk out of his mind and trying to get with the ladies. He's a simple kind of guy.]

One time I used a cardboard box as a flying machine. But I could only get it to go about two inches in the air and it only went up to two miles per hour, so it wasn't very practical as a flying machine.

Because I'd ran it through a process that aligned the electrons in the cardboard to react to the earth's magnetic field and repel gravitons, the little bits that make gravity work.

Consequently, he literally does inch around the campus in a box in hopes of hunting her down. Yes. In a box.]

[She has little motivation to be on campus if she doesn't have any business being here--with the exception of the stadium. There's really nothing quite like it, and she's quite serious about keeping herself at her prime.

Sure enough, the next evening she returns--and dressed for the occasion too. She's wise to your box tricks, Snake, but it's been so long it's the farthest thing from her mind as she beats the stuffing out of poor sandbag.]

[The stadium is really the perfect place to camp out, as Snake discovers the 'hard' way. Of course, in hindsight, he realises that he should have known this to begin with. Samus is the kind of woman who can not only take a hit, but can dish it out with equal to - if not greater - fervour.

The issue with being in a box for so long is that eventually, even Snake needs to get out and stretch his legs. As much as he wants to stay put and stare at her ass stare at her ass, he's been... on a stakeout for... a while.

So he tries to be as stealthy as he can be, which means that as much as he's dying for a smoke, he'll refrain for the time being. He lifts his box and carefully tries to worm his way out. As... inconspicuously... as... possible...]

[She's still focused on the task at hand. She delivers swift punches and punishing kicks to sandbag, and by now her entire body is covered in a thin sheen of gratifying sweat. As a testament to her nearly inhuman strength, she hits sandbag a little too hard and sends it sailing through the air--right in that box's direction.

[Jeez, woman. In spite of her rather domineering presence at the present, Snake manages to find his way to his feet. And brushes himself off.]

[He thinks.]

[He will probably feel a lot better after he gets to his feet, significantly taller than Samus, now no longer lording over him. Her arms are still crossed and she looks no less perturbed.]

[It's hot. Eli's tied her hair up and out of her face to deal with the heat. And it's probably a little too early in the evening for Eli to be at a bar, but she's determined to find a spot in the city where she's positive she won't run into anyone she knows. Not that she knows many people...

No one bothers to check her ID before letting her in. Just as Eli finds an empty spot- bordered by two other empty spots- she realizes holy shit I know that guy-- and fuck that's the fucking Boxes teacher. After her brief panic, she shrugs it off, assuming he either won't notice or won't care, and she orders just a glass of seltzer water.]

[How is it that of all the people for Snake to run into while he's getting down with his drunkard stuff that it has to be the hissing bitch from his boxes class. He doesn't even know why they have a class on boxes. He only knows he was told it was some ominous part of his destiiiiiiny.

He looks at her after taking a long drink - nearly emptying his... it's probably his fifth or six glass - and squints. Then without even leaning over because by some unfortunate turn of events, he's sure she'll spit acid into his face if he gets any closer.]

A valid point, but irritating that he had the nerve to initiate conversation with her. Keeping his distance was probably a safe bet. Eli was visibly edgy; her posture is stiff, and her expression reads agitated as soon as Snake parts his lips to address her.

Without turning to face him, she answers;]

I'm not ordering a drink. Why does it matter to you?
