Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

What: Dorm log! SUMMER BREAK EDITION!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

You can find Flurrie in her office, making lesson plans and grading papers and generally BEING A TEACHER. Also she has tea. All the time. Her door is open for general pestering!

"I can see you saying words, but the gravitational field around you is so strong that the air molecules you're vibrating can't escape it. Because you're fat."

"And your insults are childish and not the least bit clever." Pot, meet kettle?

"I STILL CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER HOW FAT YOU ARE, YOU COW" said Bowser in a gentle and sweet voice.

Whoops look at that paperwork bonfire!

Flurrie gasps, preparing to scream, but suddenly remembers wind powers, so instead she exhales a gust of wind that sends all of her paperwork flying at the doorway.

And thusly Bowser was blown out of your doorway.

Enjoy your now-ruined paperwork and the swirling bits of still smouldering paper that are fluttering about your office.

Cress has spent enough time being a debbie downer holed up in his brother's room weighted down by all the things bothering him lately. It may be summer break, but he spent so much time wallowing in his own reflective thoughts that he really needed to get out and do something constructive, no matter how uncomfortably sweltering it was outside, and he was sure he was being nothing more than an emotional burden on Chili. Their methods of dealing with hardships were vastly different, and while Chili would just as soon drop the topic and distract himself from it by looking forward, Cress had an unfortunate tendency to keep looking backward.

That being said, he found himself around the staff offices and noticed that some of the instructors happened to be in. One of the classes that had interested him was Drama and Theatre. It wouldn't hurt to pop in and ask about the class, would it?

Cress hung near the doorway. He waited momentarily for her to notice him. When she did, he fixed a smile on his face and greeted her. "Excuse me, Miss. You are the drama teacher, correct?"

Flurrie immediately perks up at the visitor. "Why, yes, you've come to the right place! Please, make yourself at home, dahling~!"

She waves at the chair by the desk.

"How very kind! Thank you." He takes the appointed seat and crosses his legs. "My name is Cress. It is an immense pleasure."

That she was completely purple and almost spectral in appearance should have surprised him more, but it did little more than intrigue him considering what he had already witnessed in this city. Cress cleared his throat and began his line of queries. "As you may have surmised, I hold an interest in taking this class next year. Let's start things off with the most basic of questions, shall we? What sort of curriculum should one expect to see in your class?"

"The pleasure is all mine, dahling! It's always so nice to meet another patron of the arts! Would you like some tea?" She began pouring him a cup. "Well, I like to cover many things in my class. We not only go over the finer points of acting and theatrics, but I also include many exercises to help students become more comfortable on stage, so they may learn to better concentrate on giving the best performance of their life, rather than worry about how many people in the audience are staring at them."

"Ah, I see. Very straightforward, then." He accepted her tea graciously and waited for it to cool some. "Assuredly you will have no need to coach me to become more comfortable on the stage, but I am sure there will be many finer points of acting to learn from you. Nonetheless, it sounds like a fun class, and I think I will look forward to it." There was a lofty, animated flow to the cadence of his voice, like he was confident in his abilities.

"If you don't mind me asking, how far back does your experience go?" The question was more for curiosity's sake, but he was also trying to gauge her prowess. Not that he didn't believe she had some.
