Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

What: Dorm log! SUMMER BREAK EDITION!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

Flint's not usually very talkative, but lately he's been even less so. He's been around, doing various repairs and groundskeeping, but he's noticeably listless, like his mind is always somewhere else. He may not even acknowledge you at first if you try to speak to him.

Boney, however, will happily greet you with a wagging tail and a sloppy dog slurp!

There was only one logical thing to do after all that Time Eater nonsense and that was to hunt Flint down and give him a hug at any opportunity. It was a futile gesture that would no nothing at all to change what had happened, but Blacky didn't know what else to do.

So hugs it was.

Wait what whoa what is this sudden physical contact! Flint is not used to this and doesn't know how to react.

So he settles for making some random vocalizations. "I, uh, wha?"

Flint learned the hard way that day that even death could not stop Blacky's unwanted advances.

"It's just me. ...Sorry. You seemed like maybe you could use one."

NOT LETTING GO.

"Er, uh, 'preciate it, but I'm fine, really." That was a lie, of course; even if he was fine, the physical contact alone was enough to set him on edge.

Yeah, like she was going to believe that. But she would let go now, at least. This time.

"Alright. If you say so."

She glanced away, arms crossed. Come on, there had to be something she could do that wouldn't just make things worse... right? HAHA no.

"Do you... ah... need any help with some sort of repairs? I'm not very good at that, but there must be something... Passing you tools, keeping Boney out of the way, that sort of thing perhaps..." Mumbling was so unbecoming.

"You, uh, you might wanna speak up there?" Flint raised an eyebrow.

He did appreciate the gesture, and he knew exactly why Blacky was visiting. But being a manly man meant being a complete dumbass when it came to things like feelings and expressing those feelings.

"...Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." She cleared her throat a bit, for all the good it did. "I just need to stop thinking about... things."

Yeah, talking about them with someone else who surely didn't want to think about it was a good start. Good job, Blacky. She groaned and banged her palm against her forehead a few times.

"Anyway, I could babysit Boney for you, if you'd like. Keep him out of the way or something."

"I'm trying not to think about things, either." Flint said flatly. Then he realized that came out a little jerk-ish.

"Uh, listen. Thanks. I mean it. I just, uh, I just don't really know how to talk about that. Or if I really want to."

Meanwhile, Boney had snuck up behind Blacky and stuck his nose in the palm of her hand. Pets now.

YEP, she definitely called that. She pursed her lips and knelt down to give Boney the biggest hug ever.

"Sorry. Let's talk about something else, then. Like... ah... Your son graduated, didn't he?"
