Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

Chili ▪ anywhere

A.) If you would like to encounter Chili in his lonesome dorm room (BE-15) you may do so. He doesn't hang out there much, but there are chances that you may catch him there. If you want to have your character meet Chili in his dormitory room, feel free to do so!

B.) Chili can be found pretty much anywhere else, especially outside enjoying the sun! You may choose whether or not his Pansear is out with him, but that is a typical sight under the blazing sun, for his Fire-type Pokémon enjoy it very much.

He can be found anywhere around campus save other people's rooms and other places you wouldn't expect to find him. He can also be found in the city, but that does not happen as frequently. (His schedule is flexible, though!)

She wasn't sure how she'd been convinced that staying at the academy was a good idea. Well, no. She had at least an inkling of an idea. Link was one. If he hadn't stayed, she wasn't sure she would have. But to be fair, she wanted to be wherever he was.

Blue followed along with her, at least until he saw Chili's Pansear. Because what followed after that was a bit anticipated. A big giant Loftwing poking about what looked like... a... Zelda didn't know what it was, but it was probably someone's pet.

"Stop that!" she scolded her big blue bird, who pointedly went out of his way to ignore the blonde-haired girl quickly chasing after him.

...As he chased... the flaming monkey...

Pansear was none too pleased to be chased by a massive blue bird that he was sure was taller than his own trainer. For all he knew, this bird could be out for blood, and he wasn't sure how well he could fare against something that menacing! So the best thing he could think to do was run.

He ran as fast as his little legs could carry him, crying out all the while as he headed for the location of Chili. When he noticed the commotion and the lineup of contrasting characters, all he could do was blink. Pansear seemed to be in distress, so he was quick to get into action.

"P-Pansear!" he called, and his wailing Pokémon rushed to his trainer for safety. "What's going on here?!"

Zelda tensed a little when she heard the sound of Chili's voice. Panic and frantic were the two words she would have used to describe him. And with all fairness, she probably would have sounded the same if she were in his position. Her Loftwing stopped just out of Chili's arm length and when she finally caught up, she looked over to him and gave an expectant and hard stare.

A hand lifted and she pointed an accusatory at the blue bird, "What did I tell you?!" Then she prominently frowned as she looked over to Chili. "I'm sorry. My Loftwing was chasing your..." She tried to think of what to call Pansear, but when she couldn't think of anything, the blonde opted for pointing at him instead. "...pet. He's never seen one before and I guess he got a little excited. I'm really sorry."

Chili sized up the Loftwing while Pansear cowered silently, hanging on to his trainer's neck. "With something this big, I can understand where he was coming from!" he commented. He brought up a hand of reassurance for Pansear to edge closer to.

"I've never seen a 'Loftwing' before, myself. Where are they from?"

[Cammy was quite used to the idea of Pokemon by now, but this... was not one she had seen yet. She came upon Chili and Pansear horsing around outside one day.]

... Excuse me. Is this a Pokemon?

[makesithot]

Huh? [Chili looks up from his spot on the ground, where Pansear sat atop his head.] Oh, yeah! This is Pansear! I guess you probably aren't too familiar with them, huh? Pokémon, I mean. Just a guess!

[cannonspike]

[She takes a few steps closer to the pair.]

Not with most types, no. I know a few... a Charmander... an Arbok... but never a, um, Pansear.

[makesithot]

[Chili gawks.] So that's really all you know? Wow...! I'm just used to everyone knowing about Pokémon! But that's okay!

[Pansear nods in agreement.] Luckily you know about Charmander! Pansear is a Fire-type Pokémon, like Charmander! Fire-types are the best, hands down!!

[cannonspike]

[She smiles at his enthusiasm.]

I guess you must be quite good with them.

[makesithot]

Heh heh, of course I am! I'm a specialist when it comes to Fire-types; after all, I'm a gym leader of Striaton City, and Fire-types happen to be my element of choice! [He and Pansear bump fists.]

[She doesn't quite know what a Gym Leader is, but it must be important.]

And what would your name be?

How about poolside? Oddly enough!

One weird thing about Riwane? She just loved water! And oftentimes she'd be found lounging next to the outdoor pool in either form! Today however, she had just come from hanging out with some friends and decided to stop by one of her favorite places and chill for a while.

Clad in a bathing suit and sporting her always swaying firetail, the orange haired girl seemed pretty chipper by just swatting at the water and listening to music.

Chili approached from behind and noticed the girl with the bright red hair and... and...

Was that a tail? And was it on fire...?! He couldn't help but gawk from behind the sight, blinking incredulously. It reminded him of a Charmander, although he'd never seen one in person before. (A Charizard, yes, but never anything else from that line.) Could it be that she was a Pokémon, too?

"Hey!" Chili called out, coming even closer. Pansear subconsciously clung on tighter to Chili's shoulder; they were getting too close to the water for his comfort. "I have a question! Are you a Pokémon?!" He seems pretty excited about this.

Even over the loud music Riwane could hear that there was at least someone calling to them, or to someone nearby. If it had been earlier in her life in campus, the music would have probably hindered her from hearing them at all!

She rolled slightly on her side, looking over and smiling before she sat up and rested her hands on her lap before waving cheerily.

"'Ey there! And, eyup! Ah'm a Charmander~" she greeted with a smile. "Yew new to tha school?" Because Riwane loved meeting new people!

A... A Charmander!! Chili's eyes widened, his smile broadened, and he nodded fervently. "Yes, yes I am! I'm Chili!! I'm a gym leader of Striaton City, in Unova, and I'm a new student starting this upcoming year! Hahaha, wow, this is so rad! I've never met a Charmander in person before!!"

Loud music or no, Chili always yells. Even at the moment he would just yell louder to overpower the music. He's got the voice for it.

Riwane liked him already! Goes to show that all fiery spirits have the hot blooded urge to be excited and cheerful!

"Real nice ta meet'cha then! Ah've been a student here, uh for a long while now! It's nice an' fun an' tha people are great! Yew'll love it here Ah'm shure!"

She paused and looked at him excitedly, "Didn' know Gym Leader's could be students too! Most Ah've met are teacha's but hopefully Ah'll be able to see yew 'round more often as a student!"

He rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't think I have what it takes to be a teacher yet, anyway! I don't have enough experience, and I'm definitely not old enough to be a teacher!"

[candlebottom]

"Hey now, who says it gots anythin' ta do with age?! In mah opinion, Ah think it has ta do a lot with spirit! And yew seem ta have lots'a that!" Riwane said excitedly, smiling warmly at him.

Somewhere outside, before the rain

Kazooie knew that Pokemon existed, and sometimes they function with human companions, but she's never actually seen any before in person before entering this school.

The red monkey she just saw with a boy of matching hair surely had to be one of those creatures. She did approach a bit for a closer look, but was particularly looking for a flame on its tail, not realizing she was confusing him for something else.

Pansear's little tail indeed did not have a fiery tip, but rather a flame-shaped end. His big ears twitched, and he turned around to look at their company. While Chili kept his back turned toward Kazooie, his Pokémon companion just cocked his head to the side as he stared. Maybe she was friendly? He kept a smile on, just in case.

Kazooie responded by crossing her wings and smirking.

Can it talk? Her saying anything might disturb the boy's distraction, so the moltres in denial she just have a casual wave of the wing. Let's see how cool this chimchar is!

The Chimchar - I mean, Pansear - waved right back. She was definitely friendly! How fortunate. Without his trainer noticing, Pansear hopped closer to MOLTRES??? Kazooie, letting out a small sound of curiosity.

Chili remained distracted.

This clone child of Diddy Kong/The Fonz/tobasco sauce had just officially became Kazooie's first friend that wasn't an idiot. Or maybe he just looked too cool to appear as one. She'd give him a pair of hip sunglasses if she only had any.

"Hey," she replied quietly. "You have a name?"

Luckily, Pansear was probably not what one might label as an idiot! And sunglasses would look great on him.

Whether or not being unable to talk was part of the job description as Idiot might change her mind, as Pansear couldn't respond with anything legible. Pansear! he tried to say, but Pansear could only chirp out his cry in an attempt to communicate. For all he knew, this could be another Pokémon! A... talking Pokémon! How cool would that be?
