Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

What: Dorm log! SUMMER BREAK EDITION!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

Watt - Everywhere!

[You'll be able to find Watt in various places, but the most common areas she's in are either in her dorm room relaxing, or outside with her sketchbook. Every so often, she changes from her Lil' Sparky form to her human form and back, depending on how she feels. Whatever works for you!]

[Voile didn't know she could sketch. And she felt like she should have known. Or perhaps she had, but it had magically slipped her mind.

With things how they were, it was hard to assume her mind was not off in five thousand directions at the same time.

So she decided to lean over Watt and simply watch, content to remain quiet for a few moments before speaking up.]

[Watt looked up, her eyes widening with glee. She hadn't been able to show off her sketches to Voile yet, until now!]

Um, I'm drawing a few animals! See?

[She showed her sketch to Voile. There were a few drawings of dogs, cats and birds. Yep, those were definitely animals. They didn't look too shabby either!]

[Voile squinted after a few moments and she moved to sit next to the blonde. Then she smiled as she reached over and gently tapped her dainty fingertips to the sheet of heavier weighted paper.]

I am a little envious. I'm not capable of drawing anything. I think these are wonderful. I didn't know you could do this.

Hee hee, thank you! I've been drawing for a little while now. Um, I think I'm getting better at it, but I've still got a loooooong way to go until I'm really REALLY good.

I'm sure you can draw a lot of really pretty things, Voile! All you have to do is practice a lot! Um, do you wanna try drawing something in my sketchbook? I won't mind!

[She then flips to a blank page and offers that, and a pencil to Voile eagerly.]

[Voile paused and blinks - mostly because she has no idea what she's supposed to do. What in the world makes Watt think she can draw anything? She is more the writer, she's always thought. Poetry, after all.

She used to write poetry when Sonny slept next to her under the sun. The nostalgia makes her expression lessen in its radiance. She looks between the pencil and the blank page.]

I'm... really not much of an artist, Watt... I don't think I could draw anything...

[Watt frowned slightly. She really thought that Voile could make some beautiful drawings if she set her mind to it! She tried one last time.]

That's what I thought too when I first started drawing! Um, it was really really hard for me to do at first, 'cause I had to get used to having hands too. But then I practiced and practiced and practiced and now I think I'm getting better at it! Maybe it'll be the same for you too!

...oh, um, but if you really don't want to draw something, then that's fine too. Um, I don't wanna make you feel all weird if you really don't want to draw something!

[A sketchbook! Oh boy, Mary loves drawing. She doesn't mind getting to see what other people are drawing either, though she hasn't really seen much by anyone who wasn't Guertena or herself.

She's just gonna invite herself to peek over Watt's shoulder and watch.]

[At first, Watt didn't notice Mary, she was too busy working on the finishing touches on a drawing of a grassy hillside. However, as time grew on, she couldn't help but feel like she was being watched. As she turned her head to the side...YEP, there's Mary!]

Ah! Um, hello!

[NOTHING CREEPY HERE.]

Hi! ...What are you drawing?

[NOPE, nothing creepy at all!]

Um, I'm just drawing some hills and trees and stuff! See?

[She holds up her sketchbook to Mary. Yep, that sure is a scenery with lots of hills and trees and clouds and stuff. Nothing to write home about, really.]

But, um, I'm not done with it yet. I think I wanna add more to it, but I don't know what! What do you think?

[Outside with your sketchbook? Well, so is Garry. Well he's actually painting on a canvas. He's doing landscaping of an open field by the lake. He's pretty immersed, so it's not hard to sneak up and see what he's up to.

[After a little while of drawing in her sketchbook, Watt finally looked up and noticed Garry nearby, painting. Seeing as how he's the new painting teacher, his paintings must be very good!

She got up for a moment and slowly walked towards the tall man, leaning over to take a peek at his drawing. And wow, he was really good at this! She couldn't help but stare.]

Wow...you're really really good!

[Garry was only sort of shocked. He just put his brush down as he turned to his visitor. He wasn't used to people watching him as he painted, but turning down company wasn't in his style. He turned to look at Watt in greeting.]

Oh, hey there. Watt, isn't it?

[He looks at his painting a little.]

Aha, thanks...I have been a little bit on the downside lately but I'm glad you like it so far.

Yup, that's my name! But anyway, yeah! Your painting's really really good! It looks like, um, you've been painting for a really REALLY long time to get that good!

I HAVE been painting most of my life but you can always get better.
