Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

[Jin watches Neph swing her lance around for a short time before finally speaking.]

[Nephenee nearly dropped her spear in shock when she heard the voice, and swung around to see Jin watching her practice. O-oh hello person.]

Ah! H-hello!

[His eyes drop down to her weapon.]

You're taking my class in the new term.

[Oh! She recognizes him now, and nods.]

Ah, Major Kisaragi. Ah didn't recognize ya at first.

Yes, well, we hadn't met in person.

[He gestures at the lance.]

July 12, training?!

[ Sonic's gotten an early start today, and quite the good thing! The weather is exceptional, clear skies and an air with just enough moisture to keep his breathing nice and steady. He could push for hours on end like this and never break a sweat. Perfect. What a day to relax and run with ease in his heart.

Oh, but it doesn't seem some people agree, though that is simply an assumption.

While Sonic doesn't see his running as training whatsoever, he stops to watch Nephenee do her thing, keeping at some distance to allow her her space as well as take in the full view of her craft. She looks good, he thinks, and wonders if this time to herself was thought of in the way his dashing about was - that is, as natural as breathing.

He smiles at her, though it isn't exactly with intent to get her attention. He's just genuinely curious... ]

TRAINING man

[It was about that natural to her, as she had gotten used to doing it every day since the wars back home occurred. It would feel odd to not practice, if she stopped to think about it. This was also a time for her to reflect and think about her day before it really began...
As she decided to take her break, she turned, and smiled at the newcomer. After Jin's turning up the other day, she had gotten used to people coming up and watching her.]

[ Sonic's ears perk up, the acknowledgement sending him just a little closer to avoid any back and forth shouting. He gives her enough space to start swinging around again if she so pleased, but isn't exactly concerned with being hit. He's got some snappy reflexes, after all! ]

Sweet moves! You really know how to swing that skewer around.

[ His eyes run along her weapon. ] You trainin' for somethin' or this just a hazardous hobby? I don't think I'd wanna be caught on the receivin' end of that thing if you're the one behind it! Heh!

Running in circles is amazing. I did it once. Totally dizzy but worth it

[Neph returns the squeeze, smiling all the while.]

Oh, ah have ta keep up mah trainin' in case there's a war or somethin' back home, or even here. Ah already had ta go back home once cause of some riots that started up.

Buuuut someone's gotta keep Eggman in check, after all. And he just makes it so easy that it's fun.

[That sounded a bit odd, but she couldn't fault him for it.]

Eggman...he's one of the teachers here, yes? Is he bad too?

Yeah. Don't trust that guy if you can help it. [ Sonic's had to cooperate with him a number of times, but he wouldn't exactly define it as trust as much as moving with caution at his toes and eyes on the back of his head. ] He likes to stir up a whole lot'a trouble if you give him too much time to think.

July 14th, Training!

[It was pretty early in the morning, so before getting straight to her work, Sable was walking around campus, a thermos filled with coffee in her paws. That's when she noticed Neph training. She looked into it, and it was quite a sight to behold for the porcupine!

She didn't want to disturb her, so Sable instead opted to stand to the side while watching Nephenee practice.]

[Nephenee sure had a lo of visitors lately! She spotted the porcupine eventually during practice, and halted her movements, waving.]
