Dorm Log: the millionth revenge

What: Dorm log! SUMMER BREAK EDITION!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Everything is acceptable.
When: The span of July 11 - July 22
Warnings: Imagine college, only with more super mushrooms-- WAIT NO lollipop drugs are the craze these days.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's what's going down. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. So have at it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Keep in mind that starting the 17th, the school will progressively be inundated with flood waters.

And Sig stared back at this strange tiny thing. Now that he got a closer look at this purple thing, he realized it was less of an insect and more of...something else? It was certainly a plant, but plants usually never move around like this...

Sig tilted his head in confusion.

Ai cocked her head back at Sig, then took off running in the other direction, towards the school. She ran as quickly as her little legs could carry her tiny body- which, admittedly, wasn't very quickly at all.

"Ah," Sig said as he watched the little thing scurry off. He got up to his feet and started following after the little thing.

Why was it heading towards the school? Sig was even more confused.

Occasionally, Ai would check back to see Sig following her. At first she thought she just might not be moving quickly enough, but she realized, at some point, that he was moving along with her.

Possibly to put her on his dumb net again...! Squeak! How rude. She took shelter in a hole in a nearby tree. She'd continue on her way once the odd-eyed boy has passed.

Oh no, the purple thing went under the tree! But it wasn't going to take just that for this insect-obsessed kid to lose track of you.

He stopped at the tree the purple pikmin hid under, and knelt down to see if he could see whether it was still there.

From inside her hiding spot, Ai watched the outside. When it was filled with one of the blue-haired boy's eyes, Ai let out another high-pitched squeak and edged to the opposite end of the hole.

Oh, that bug-plant's hiding away... Sig moved away from the tree, scratching his head in confusion. He just wanted to become friends with the little thing, but it seems like he was scaring it away.

He dug into his bag and took out his jar of honey. Perhaps this would do the trick! He opened the jar and dabbed a bit of the honey onto the ground to lure the little thing out.

Ai thought for a moment the honey might have been a trick to lure her out from her hiding spot. The golden syrup reminded her of the nectar Pikmin drank to change their leaves to flowers, though... She slowly edged out from her hiding spot, but remained close.

She gave Sig a nervous look before looking back at the honey. Then she looked for his net.

Sig gazed at the purple thing with deep fascination... if expressions would show up on his face. Instead, it looked like he was staring intently at the poor pikmin. When he realized the other was looking at his net, he looked over at it before looking back at the pikmin.

"...Want it?" He asked as he moved the net closer to Ai.

Squeak!

No! Absolutely not!

Ai immediately skittered back into the hole in the tree.

Oh, it didn't like the net. He made sure the net was made out of a soft thread so the insects wouldn't get hurt... He slumped his shoulders slightly as he gave a small sigh, unsure what to do next. He did pull the net away from Ai though.

"So you don't want it. I'll keep away from you then." Really, he just wanted to become friends with this..plant...bug...thing...

Hm... He knew the net was making her uneasy and had offered to keep it away from her; that had to indicate something. Right? Tentatively, Ai stepped outside again and cautiously moved towards the honey.

If he made another move, she was ready to dash back into the hole.

And Sig stayed completely still as he stared at the pikmin move towards the honey.

And Ai tasted the honey. It was sweet! But it didn't have any effect on her leaf, to her dismay... She looked back up at Sig, still looking tentative.

Sig stared back. Did it like it, or was it not good enough? He tilted his head to the side before getting his jar of honey out and took a taste of it himself to make sure.

Yes, it was the honey he brewed himself. Hmmm...

"A problem."

This insect was very confusing insect.

Ai let out a quiet squeak when Sig spoke again, but didn't jump as much. She looked back at him with her wide, emotionless eyes and simply shook her head.

Honestly, it wasn't a problem. It was just disappointing. But she didn't taste any more of the honey. Instead, she stayed perfectly still and looked at Sig.

And then, it finally got to Sig's head; this thing wasn't a insect, was it? He gave a stare back at the purple thing for a while, scratching his head.

"Are you a bug." He asked.

She wasn't entirely sure how to answer that. By some definitions, Pikmin could be considered insect-like. Although Ai had always figured she was much more like a very small animal, mixed with a plant. At first, all Ai could do was shrug her miniature shoulders at Sig.

Then, she grabbed for her stem and waved her leaf in Sig's direction. Squeaking excitedly, as if to try and tell him, I am a Pikmin!

A shrug? Sig tilted his head in response, then stared some more at the Pikmin's squeaking and gestures. He knew it was trying to tell him something, but he didn't know exactly what.

"Don't know."

If it wasn't an insect, there was no more reason for him to linger around anymore.

"I'm going home." He totally meant dorms, but he didn't even know the word "dormitory." With that said, Sig got up to his feet, and turned to walk away.
