Dorm Log: Scorching Summer Edition

Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Frankly? I don't care where. Go have fun, kids.
When: The span of June 14 - June 28th. Pick a date.
Warnings: Yeah, it got pretty naughty in here.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Stay up all night watching reruns of Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles? Break out the ice cream and industrial fans to beat the heat? [ Shadow is easy to find. Relatively easy, at least. He can be found just about anywhere, in the halls loitering about, in the city, in the library, in the common room drinking tea, or heck, even his dorm. He tends to just relax and do whatever his mind drifts to most, namely reading or doing low-key activities.

Sometimes, he might even be spotted on a lounge chair by the pool, curled up, feeling asleep. You know the drill. KNOCK HIM INTO THE POOL. ]

You must have been dozing off there, Shadow, because before you know it, there's an angel kid all dressed in swim trunks jumping on the diving board calling out at you.

"Hey Shadow, watch this!" He jumps off the diving board, flips through the air, and dives into the water very much like a flightless, fun-loving penguin. And yeah, he splashed. Oops.

THREE-PART SCIENCE SPECIAL!

Just because the commotion with the candies has died down, doesn't mean that Gordon has stopped in his patrols around the school. There's still a chance some whack-job will take out his hatred on a student even without the chemicals spurring them on. Every other day, alternating with Connor, he trudges the halls, the basement steam tunnels, and circles out to the lake and back as well as other areas where surveillance is low. He's suited during patrols, and stands out quite a bit in the orange and grey.

Bother him?

[When he's not doing that, he's spending some time in the research labs in the basement of the math and science building. Different from the teaching labs, thse room is stuffed to the gills with odd equipment and scrawled over with equations on every possible surface. Schematics for a portal array litter the desk, as well as blocks of numbers arranged in rows and the occasional silly or lewd scribble.]

[He could be up and working, or he may very well be asleep and slumped over his desk with a frigid cup of coffee next to him.]

[Do you have a GameStationPlayBox and you're not afraid to use it? Or are you a member of the PC gamer master race? In any case, someone on the game network by the PlayTag of "LambdaDecay86" has rocket-jumped his way to the top of the PvP arenas. Which student IS he? IS it a he? NO ONE KNOWS.]

[What's a student doing in the teacher's dorms? It's a shortcut and it's air conditioned, and there is no rule saying not to intrude during the day. So maybe that is the reason. Or maybe some poor sap got suckered into running errands for a teacher. Or maybe you shouldn't ask questions if you know what's good for you. Suspend your disbelief, it's Smash Academy.

Whatever drew a certain two souls toward the teacher's dorm this day, the fate-changing scenario about to play out is what's important here.

Our story begins with one intrepid young hall monitor making his way through the building, when suddenly, the sound of explosions and gunfire catches his attention. Followed by the loud whine of a prebuscent boy, only 90% of his speech being picked up by his mic: "You're so dead, you sharking pussy fa--"

There's a new vehicle in the auto shop. All white metal and bronze and wood, it sits quiescently with wings tucked under as Lucca rummages through the propulsor hatch in the back. Epoch needed a tune-up anyway, and after that chat with Knuckles, she can't wait to show it off!

[Action: Swimming in Kraken Lake]

It's TECHNICALLY not against the rules to go swimming in the lake on campus, is it? On the hottest day of the year, the rules tend to take a back seat to mechanisms for coping with the heat. A few of Lucca's effects are on the side of the lake--tank top, boots, helmet--and she herself is swimming in just her chest-binding and shorts.

Huh, she's a pretty strong swimmer for a fire mage.

Bug her? Jump in and scare her? Bring a radio and food and make a party out of it? Admonish her for not using sunscreen?

It's not unusual to see Lucca reading; the more unsettling thing would be if she weren't, in fact. You can find her anywhere, sitting under trees, in the library, on the roof, just reading some huge tome or another. Talk to her?

Knuckles was pretty psyched to see a real live time machine. He was no great technological genius, but he had found an affinity for Autoshop. He wouldn't be building any great scientific advances anytime soon. But he could weld with the best of them and he knew his way around a car.

"'Sup!" he greeted Lucca as he walked through the room, a bag with some tools and manuals over his shoulder and his overalls on (Not to mention covered in the grease spots and ingrained dust that showed that they had done a decent tour of duty around this workshop.)

"....huh. It looks a little different than I imagined." he said as he set his stuff down. He didn't really know what he'd been expecting - Maybe something more like a DeLorian or a telephone box or... something with more blue LEDs. Actually, this design struck him as much cooler looking. It was kind of futuristic and classic all in one.

BW - 04 (Between June 20 - 25th)

BW-o4 might be a bit of a mess at the moment, at least on Riwane's side of the room. Clothes are everywhere, big duffle bags are half full and music is as loud as you'd expect from the chipper Charizard. The door, unless roomie decided to close it, is always slightly cracked open because she knows she won't hear anyone knocking, especially if she opts for using one of her many headsets instead of her speakers.

You'll find her going through her things as she either tossed whatever over her shoulder and onto the bed, or stuffs it into her one of her bags.

Carter's been to boarding schools before, and never having been the most popular of students, she's gotten used to taking up as little space as possible, and trying to bother her roommate as little as possible. But Riwane's nice enough, seems easy enough to get along with, that Carter's initial reaction to withdraw has mostly worn off. At least, enough to strike up a conversation when her roommate's behavior gets unusual.

"You're really tearing through that stuff, huh? Are you looking for something?"

[If Carter isn't in her dorm, chances are she won't be too hard to find elsewhere in the school, making a valiant effort to learn everything there is to know about the Smash Academy campus. If she isn't in her room or exploring - thankfully, without any drawing on the walls this time! - she is probably in the Library.]

BW - 14, Around Campus and the surrounding areas. (June 15-20)

Ellistree is rather active for these few days and with a never faltering smile one would be curious as to what she was up to. Throughout the days she seemed to be collecting different items. Party favors, food ingredients and many fire themed objects that she stored in her room, or at the nearby storage.

Any approach was met with a cheerful wave and greeting. Care to see what's up?

Somewhere... unfortunately not over the rainbow.

Chiyo was simply taking a stroll around campus and spotted her "true blue friend" she so adored and loved. Seeing Ellistree always brought a smile on Chiyo's face, and so without a second thought, she immediately went up to her favorite friend and laced her arms around her from behind. Since she couldn't speak, she simply nuzzled her face into Ellistree's back very lovingly.

Kiyotaka - Everywhere

So maybe he could be found holed up in BE-15 a little more often these days, considering he had no classes occupying his time. Of course, that meant more time to study for the ones coming up in the next year, and if he wasn't doing it in the dorm he was doing it in a quiet room in the library that Wheatley's rails did not reach, OR DID THEY.

Or maybe he was patrolling the halls, keeping an eye out for troublemakers. Classes being out didn't mean that the school's (frustratingly lax and inconsistent) rules were no longer in place, after all.

Interestingly enough, for a guy who seemed like he'd happily spend his entire life cooped up indoors with his nose in a textbook, he took to spending a lot of time by the pool this season. When it's hot and your entire wardrobe consists of nothing but stuffy uniforms, you need to find any excuse you can not to wear them, right? Right.

Phoenix Wright | TD-28 and places

It was now summer vacation, which meant that Phoenix had a lot of time to kill. And now that he had time to kill, he found himself a bit more lonely lately. Edgeworth had finally returned home, and while Phoenix was used to him coming and going from his life, it wasn't always easy. Especially when he didn't have the company of Maya. But he wasn't alone here. There were friends, and he had his very own Pokemon, something that still astonished him.

So he could be found a lot in his room, perhaps playing World of Warlords or watching The O RLY Factor on his television. (No, this particular show was not politically charged, thank you. Or if it was, at least Phoenix still remained mostly politically neutral.)

But he also spent time in the library researching more on this subject of Pokemon training. He made a commitment and he wanted to be a good trainer. (But seriously? They sent ten-year-old kids out there completely unarmed to go and catch wild animals? Why...?) And of course, he researched gardevoirs and Pokemon contests, since he figured that was going to be a much larger part of his life now.

And then he researched this whole drug problem. He felt he was getting closer to figuring it out, but... Ugh, why was this so hard?

And then he waited about 5 seconds before giving his door another knock - this time, much harder and much louder, like he was afraid that he wasn't heard the first time.

Chell | BW-11 and around town

Ever since Eggman had started his ridiculous totalitarian regime enforced by angry robots, Chell wanted less to do with this school. Besides, it was summertime now, and the weather was beautiful. She appreciated the weather whether it rained or was sunny, so she often just went outside. At least most of the time.

She would have just stayed away entirely, but she could only subsist so long on a certain supply of food. Besides, she would crave her closed space at times, since it was what she was used to.

So there were times where she was in her room resting with her cubes, or else she would leave during the day and simply stay out in the city through the night. No robots would hunt her down this time.

Byrne | TD-22 and places

Byrne wasn't one to admit when he felt "happy." He wanted to believe he couldn't feel happy, that he was destined to live with guilt for the rest of his life. That's what he deserved, so any time he felt okay with his life, that he felt he could enjoy himself, he wanted to stop himself. It was a slow process, of course, but... Gradually he was able to feel better.

After all, he was in love. In love. He couldn't remember the last time he truly was in love - it was so long ago, probably several decades ago, since he wouldn't allow himself to feel these things. He had forgotten what it was like, the giddiness of realizing such a thing, accompanied by the utter regret.

But it was these things he kept in mind when he went about his daily life. A relatively content feeling meant now that sometimes in his room he actually played his guitar at times, gradually building up small calluses on his fingers from the strumming and the plucking. He could be reading books too, or else he was out at the gym training. Or taking a walk, or something. He still kept mostly to himself, of course.

Caim | TD-07, Classroom, & FDC

Things had fallen to something of a dull roar, fortunately for Smash Academy's residential mute prince. Oddly enough he was meeting new people. Oddly enough he wasn't making enemies. Oddly enough Vianca had yet to give him a stern talking-to or anything else of that nature.

In short. All seemed relatively... good in Caim's world. And he doubted such a thing would last long. But perhaps he could simply hold onto it.

Wherever he might have been, shopping trips and eying his classroom with nostalgia, the man carried an odd bit of peace about him. It was probably the calmest he'd felt since his fated arrival when he fell from the ceiling into a crowded hallway of bad dancers and crappy music.

Instead of spending all her time wandering around campus hoping to run into Caim, Chiyo thought it best to check out where he might be located at the office. Once the information she needed was acquired, she made the journey to his dorm room all the while thinking of what she'd say... or er, write. She paused by his door and stared at it. Then she stared at the blank spiral bound notebook in her hands. Neither of them were helping her with what she needed to say about her predicament. Their little blank stares and frowns back at her were proof of that.

"Hello Teacher Caim. I think I'm mute, too." didn't seem like the fanciest idea. Ever. But what else could she write? In her new situation, she didn't really know where else to go, and Caim was the first person she thought of since he was, now, a fellow mute (at least, the only other mute that she knew of here at Smash). It brought her some comfort to know that she wasn't alone in her inability to speak, however long it would last.

She sighed. She really needed to write something as it would look strange to write instead of speak when she greeted him.

Ugh. Oh well, no use fretting it! she thought to herself and tried to quickly write down her greeting ("tried to" since she still wasn't adept at writing) before knocking on the door and holding up her note with a somewhat anxious smile.

Hello Teacher Caim. How are you today? I'm sorry to bother you, but I didn't know where else to go. You see, I think I'm mute?

Eirika | BW-17 (with Lyra!) & Other

She couldn't stay still. She probably was meant to, but there was too much to be done. Too much for her to chase after and never find. Eirika was a bit one-track minded, an everlasting search for knowledge. An everlasting investigation on what she hoped to do away with.

It was true that the town had calmed itself a bit, or so it seemed. It was true that Eggman's martial law appeared to be working. But at the same time, she couldn't believe wholeheartedly that it would be the end of the issues endured. And though she wasn't to act alone, she felt that her own use of free time could be better spent for others than in self-indulgence. That compelled her to exploring the city, the academy grounds, and the other areas not often populated by crowds.

And she could be forgiven later if she somehow managed to get herself into trouble.

Furiae did not know why it had occurred, this room change, nor why it had to come about so suddenly and without warning. She had suspected the worst for her room mate, the Jumpluff Alorah, and her fate after the chaos of the city that had exploded in that single day. Well, exploded, yet it had only been a matter of time to most. Dr. Eggman had only brought temporarily relief and not a solution, and that there were those unhappy with his ruling had been made most clear by the fliers that had been distributed around the school. Trouble that Furiae did not want to be involved in.

Alorah had been a victim once before to violence, and so out of some amount of concern Furiae had gone to see that she was fine--after finding out that the change was indeed an official decision, and making sure to send word to her brother so he would not be concerned to find her belongings and presence missing from her old room should he visit unannounced.

It did not take long for her to find a name for the woman she would now co-exist with: Eirika, Princess of Renais. It was mostly all she knew of the woman sparse some small details given when inquiring about the room's occupant; that, and the belongings that had been placed about the room that left clues and guesses as to the kind of person she could be. But her title imposed upon her an image too. A princess. It was a title Furiae wore - or, rather, once wore.

In the time she had in that room before Eirika's entrance, Furiae was left to ponder that history, as well as left to presume Eirika's own. What was the state of her land? What had her life been? More better than her own, surely, yet Furiae did leave room to believe something may have occurred for her in the way that she and her brother had been connected to the school. Royalty was never above misery.

But even so, it was not hard to picture this woman as more royal and proper than her. Briefly, Furiae felt an array of emotions that did not exclude bitterness and jealousy.

Eirika would not have to ever know about that though. One day, however, she would have to come back to find that she was now with a room mate, whether that room mate was present or not when she arrived. The side of the room that had long been unoccupied since Lyra's departure had a few more items to decorate it, though they were few. Furiae did not keep much, and her most precious of belongings (any gift from her brother, such as the jewellery from Christmas) were tucked away safely. Books had been arranged on a shelf on her side, presents from the boxer Mac that she had still yet to go through, and there was a box of a simple design tucked against her computer table that kept folded fabrics and other miscellaneous sewing tools from her practices. But the box was opaque, meaning one would have to peek in to see what it held (but perhaps the time of day that Eirika arrives is in the afternoon, and Furiae has stepped out while leaving a small, simple folded garment on the bed to continue with later, an embroidery hoop fastened on to what looks like a collar--a keen eye might be able to tell it's a young girl's dress, too).

She had no pictures, no posters, no gadgetry such as phones or the like. A notebook was on the desk that was not Eirika's, as well another book or two and pens kept organised together in a slim box. Not many, for it was rare for Furiae to lose them and she did not feel the need for an excess of them. A magazine maybe, was hidden under those books, borrowed from the home economics teacher.

The impression it gave was not a person who liked to leave a chaotic mess. Perhaps even, with her books kept closed and little on display, it gave the impression of a private person. Perhaps they simply did not have much to show. Perhaps there was not enough to conclude a picture of the other from what could be seen, whether or not time factored in what there was little of.

But the Princess of Renais must have a lot already on her mind, too, now that it isn't encased by metal.

Milimili • BW-08

Milimili isn't one to stick around in her room with her roommate, Eli. She doesn't need the room to sleep, so why bother going in there at all? Still, she can be found in her dorm room very infrequently - mostly during the morning.

Beyond that, Milimili can be found around campus. She's always awake and can be found practically everywhere - hell, she can even be found in your own dorm room if you look hard enough. That's only if she's ghosting about: she can also be found bumming around as a human.

Nabooru | TD-11

She had a lot on her mind. That always happened during the summer. With no students to teach and no private sessions going on, it left her only to consider her own station. As she'd told Knuckles, she had plans to go visit the desert. Had to take Pit with her for his initiation and 'rite of passage.' Maybe they could go for a weekend. Or a week. She hadn't decided.

It'd be best to leave it up to him.

What else needed to be done? Visiting Angel Island to see how the younger girls were doing. Seeing Melissa. Reporting to Ganondorf. Plenty to do and not a lot of time to do it in.

But when she thought about it all, she suddenly felt so languid. And that resulted in her frequently sleeping or lounging about in her personal quarters. On occasion she was wandering the hallways or at the jewelry store in the city, but when in doubt, checking her room was the easiest way to locate her.

Ron • TD-15

Ron can be found in his dorm room during the evening and in the morning. He could be doing any number of things, from watching TV to cooking to talking on the phone to... whatever.

During any other time of the day or even at night, he can be found patrolling campus. With the robots here, it's not too difficult of a task to keep things under control, but he's still a security guard. Just... He's relieved of duties more often than not. That also means that he can be found doing other things!

Regardless of where he's found, his general disposition seems to be a bit gloomy.

Ulki • TD-17

You can find Ulki in his room sometimes, but he doesn't like to stay cooped up in there. GET... IT... HAHAHAHAHA

He can also be found in his office, which is connected to the detention dungeon room. He still doesn't like to stay in there, either.

Most frequently, Ulki can be found outside. He can be found in the nearby forest or just anywhere in general on campus. No matter where he is, don't think he's not listening in on your hijinks...

ULKI YOU ARE PERFECT I JUST REALIZED

Elizabeth had been embracing this strange new land as openly as she could. It was amazing. There were new things to discover everyday, and there was so much life! Everything was so green! She was finally living her own life and that was amazing.

Every so often, though, she would look up at the sky and wonder if this was all right. It's wasn't like she had a choice, really, but she still had to wonder if it was all right not to feel horribly guilty.

Somedays it was harder to avoid the pangs, especially when something struck her with familiarity. Walking through the courtyards, Elizabeth was struck by the image of a large figure with large wings. She audibly gasped wide-eyed at the sight, her heart suddenly racing. For a moment, rational thought was out the window.

Songbird.

So if Ulki turned to look, he'd notice that there was a girl staring at him and looking like she had just seen several ghosts.

Ziio | Library, Woods, Office & Other

She was still there, her attention diverted elsewhere than her village for the time being. Having taken Jon's advice, she'd been given a position, despite the idea that 'classes' had evidently been completed. Regardless, it seemed to suit her surprisingly well. Although she questioned the decency in guiding someone she didn't know.

Begrudgingly she imagined it'd make sense to her eventually.

Most of her time was spent in the trees above the woods, however, where she'd already made encampment for herself. It was away from the others, a little quieter, about as peaceful as it was going to get. And it granted her something that felt more familiar to home than the original room she was offered.

Hit a snare, it was likely Ziio's. The woman was nothing short of resourceful and clever.

An especially large crow settled down on a branch, just in the right spot to be caught under a net. Though the net was clearly sized for something smaller, it was enough to throw the bird into a panic. It flapped and fluffed, trying to dislodge the ropes.

A flash of red, and a strange decorated weasel-like creature dashed up onto the tree, slashing at the ropes with its oversized claws.

"I see. So someone has set traps..." a low voice mused from just out of sight.

Henry • BE-01

Henry can occasionally be found in his dorm room shared with Innes, but he doesn't spend all of his time there.

Henry can also be found anywhere else on campus. Usually doing something weird. Feel free to specify the location if he is desired anywhere else.

There was a lot of awkward silence in this room as Innes busied himself with something. Writing, most likely, sending letters home. He suddenly stood up, shoving something into his pocket. "I'm going out." Not that he needed to announce that, really.

LIBRARY TIME

Day or night, there is one ever-present entity in the library, dutifully pacing back and forth on the rail, putting books back and helping any visitors navigate the Dewey Decimal System. If you happen to need a book, you're sure to be greeted by a talking metal eyeball--generally cheerful, despite looking a little worse for the wear.

He might not be there right as you enter, but rest assured, any evidence of someone browsing, and Wheatley is quick to follow, just in case they have any questions.

PANCAKE PARTY IN AE02

The interior of the RA dorm is a suite with living arrangements for four, a lounge area, and a small kitchen, which is used almost exclusively for pancake breakfasts. Ordinarily, it's a tradition of the four resident advisers to eat the most important meal of the day together, and it is always

pancakes.

Legendary pancakes, and today, the door is open and the scent of pancakes wafts into the hall for anyone who might be even the slightest bit hungry.

That smell was definitely making some people nauseous.

Mary - Everywhere

Mary roomed with Chell in BW-11, and could often be found in there doodling, reading bright and colourful picture books that she really should have outgrown by now (or going to the library to change them for new ones, seemingly oblivious to how the librarian felt about her), or taking naps or doodling in there.

She was also prone to doodling and napping in the common room or out in the field. Maybe she was in the greenhouse, actually not destroying the plantlife. It was a new summer, and she had a whole new garden idea to tend to on her personal student plot! Maybe this year they would bloom before they shriveled and died.

Maybe she was pilfering supplies from the art room, or maybe pigging out on sweets in the cafeteria.

Whatever the case, she seemed a little happier and healthier than she'd been for the past few months... but just barely. At least snake venom was out of her system, although the same couldn't be said for other harmful substances. Good enough, right?

GIVE ME AN ART ROOM

Eirika was still trying to acquaint herself. There was a lot more to see than a single look around could give and without classes to occupy her time, she was prone to a more curious outlook. As long as she wasn't endangering herself, she had the free reign of the academy grounds.

The art room had been one that she found entirely by accident. She'd not even really known what she'd walked into until she paused and took a long look. But then even as she was piecing it together, the wonderfully fascinating environment it was, her attention was drawn onto Mary, who she'd never forgotten.

"Little Mary," she greeted with pleasant surprise and a warm smile as she'd ever held for the darling blonde.

DAS AUTOSHOP

Since acquiring the coveted autoshop position, Falcon has spent less time in his office with the awesome couch, and more time monopolizing the garage with not only his giant blue monstrosity death machine of a car, but also various and sundry personal projects including but not limited to a black motorcycle.

Pit wandered in because look, he wanders from time to time and on this particular jaunt he found HORRIBLE MECHANICAL SOUNDS COMING FROM DAS AUTOSHOP. There were people he liked who also liked to hang around this shop, and so, braving these auditory assaults to his eardrums, he popped his head in to FIND

As always, you can mostly find Sable in her office, making some clothes. However, she also takes breaks from her work and can also be found mostly either in the library, reading some romance novels, or just taking in the fresh air outside.

Of course, she's always more than welcome to talk with everyone, as well as make and fix some clothes for you if you want a change in your wardrobe or if something terrible has happened to one of your favorite outfits!

Certainly, on a day, there would be a polite few knocks on Sable's office door for somebody looking to speak with the Home Economics teacher. One student who was actually a rather keen learner in the woman's class.

SCENARIO ONE: THE WOODS

Connor was still adamant about the food here. Not because he didn't trust it. He knew what he liked, he knew how to get it. So why bother? Someone show him what's it like to eat cheeseburgers.

When not patrolling or working, he was in the woods. Probably on the hunt.

Setting up snares and shooting arrows at prey. Good old meat. Find a snare? Find a dead thing? Find Connor skinning/cooking dead thing?

SCENARIO TWO: THE WORST JOB EVER (THE HALLS ALL OVER/HIS OFFICE

And now we go to the job he didn't like.

Well, he appreciated the income and boarding and all...but cleaning up your smelling sweat towels? Not his idea of fun. But he did it anyway, and with a straight face.

He was everywhere in this job; the common room, the halls, the classrooms...at some point he was at some place. Partaking in some modern activity (movies, video games, etc) might make Connor cock an eyebrow. He kinda liked some board games though too.

His office didn't look like a janitorial office at all should you see him there.

It was pristine clean. And probably very professional looking sans sometimes his weapons lying around. He didn't keep much personal here at all...Someone get him out of there for god's sake.

SCENARIO THREE: THE LAKE

HE STILL PATROLS HERE, WHAT A SHOCKER RIGHT.

Doing things similar here from the woods but hell, this is an option.

SCENARIO FOUR: THE TOWN (NIGHT ONLY; HOOD ON)
Hopping off rooftops, avoiding those damn robots.

This felt too much like home, being sneaky while investigating. Being full on with his gear and hiding in the shadows. Unless if you catch him on the rooftops looking on the town while YOU'RE INVESTIGATING, he tries to not be seen at all.

Eggman...Phoenix and what he said bothered Connor deep in his gut. What could that man be plotting? To what end? Nothing good. Martial law be damned. All this plus the drugs...Connor was a very busy man.

But sometimes, he hit the pub. Not to drink. But to maybe get info there.

Also yeah, I'm talking about the bar Desmond might be in.

Well this wasn't something Innes ever expected to see. Innes had passed the common room with something in his hand, which he shoved into his pants pocket.

"I thought you were a warrior, not a maid." It wasn't necessarily a jab at him, more of a flat, emotionless statement. Some warriors had domestic abilities, of course, particularly retainers, but he never took Connor as the retainer type.

R.O.B. - All Up In Your Network

R.O.B.'s world was shattered. He was not happy by any stretch of the imagination, and the more time he had the more he ran through scenarios in his programming, trying to figure out if there was something he could have done differently to prevent this outcome.

But whatever the reason, R.O.B. was now lacking in physical presence. As a disembodied AI living in the computer network while his body was being repaired, he needed to do something to keep occupied. So he explored, travelling the network, ending up in peoples' computers, just to see what's what. Would he end up in YOUR computer?

Pulse was out and about in the Network; having completed his assigned tasks for the day and checking in on Riche, he went for a jog to clear his head. He was thinking about visiting the library's digital stacks for some light reading when he happened to notice the presence of R.O.B. nearby. He was only familiar with one AI at the school and never knew him to use the Network to get around, so this one was new to him.

His first instinct was to hide behind something, then observe the AI from behind this cover. He did not know who or what it was, thus he had no idea if it were friend or foe. With Dr. Eggman taking over the city with robots, who knew whether or not he was planning on monitoring the networks with attack programs?
