Dorm Log: Scorching Summer Edition

Ellistree is rather active for these few days and with a never faltering smile one would be curious as to what she was up to. Throughout the days she seemed to be collecting different items. Party favors, food ingredients and many fire themed objects that she stored in her room, or at the nearby storage.

Any approach was met with a cheerful wave and greeting. Care to see what's up?

Chiyo was simply taking a stroll around campus and spotted her "true blue friend" she so adored and loved. Seeing Ellistree always brought a smile on Chiyo's face, and so without a second thought, she immediately went up to her favorite friend and laced her arms around her from behind. Since she couldn't speak, she simply nuzzled her face into Ellistree's back very lovingly.

Ellistree had been mid-stride when she felt the arms link around her. Feeling the familiar nuzzling, she took a peak over her shoulder and smiled warmly. It was someone not only familiar, but someone she cared about a lot. Also someone who she wanted to talk to personally ever since her message on the network about going mute.

The tall half-elf turned in her grasp and pulled up Chiyo into a tight embrace, looking at her more closely with a very caring expression.

"There you are my little sweetheart, I was wondering where you were... So what's this about not being able to speak?"

Chiyo tilted her head, wondering what she ought to do. One, she really like hugging times with Ellistree. The longer they were, the better, and she really could just hug her all day long, if not forever. So then we go onto two, she really needed to write down her words, but that would mean she'd have to let go.

Hm... options, options.

With one last squeeze and nuzzle, Chiyo reluctantly let go to bring out a little notepad.

I'm not sure either. I just woke up and found myself unable to speak. It's like my voice disappeared somewhere.

Ellistree could agree, she could embrace Chiyo for what could be forever, but alas.... One does not have that kind of time, especially when their friends are in need.

Frowning, Ellistree's hands glowed with nurturing and healing magics. For a while, she ran the soothing and reinvigorating energy all throughout Chiyo's body, focusing on her throat. But after a bit, the halfbreed sighed and shook her head.

"Well, now I know the source... But it is one I cannot cure. Curses are in the realm of the arcane... I'd need a warlock or a mage to remove such illnesses." she relayed with a disappointed expression. It was clear that she disliked not being able to help.

"You have no recolection of how this might have happened sweetheart?" she asked with a warm caress of Chiyo's face.

At the warm caress, Chiyo gave Ellistree a silly grin, having obviously enjoyed the gesture. Then she gave a small shake of her head before writing.

I can't think of anything that would have made me cursed.

She showed the note and then paused. Hmm... something seemed to be nagging at the back of Chiyo's mind. Somehow, she felt that the colors black, purple, and silver had something to do with this, but she couldn't remember what and how those colors had any relation to the source. Eh, oh well. She shrugged it off. Best not to dwell on it since it would always come running back into her mind at a later time.

But no worries! I can still write what I want to say so everything will be alright. she added.

Ellistree nodded and smiled, albeit being a bit of a somber one.

"The world shouldn't be denied your beautiful voice, but I'm glad that you are taking it in stride and seem happy. I'll make sure to look into it and see if I can find a way to rid you of your curse."

The halfbreed woman thought for a moment before leaning down and kissing Chiyo on the cheek.

"Did that work?" she added with a bit of a teasing chuckle.

Chiyo shook lightly, a sign that she was giggling, and turned pink in the face. She also shook her head "no" and then reached her arms up around Ellistree's neck to pull her down closer for a return kiss on the cheek. She then stared Ellistree in the eyes and then broke out in silent laughter.

Guess that didn't work either.

Ellistree chuckled and smiled fondly.

"I suppose it didn't, but it was worth a try. What with all the fables about true intentions and kisses breaking spells, I just had to give it a shot."

Aw. Thank you. I definitely feel like I just had a spell of happiness casted on me, though. :)

She went in for another round of affectionate hugs.

And of course Ellistree wouldn't deny her said hugs, even if she was worried for her friend.

"Alright, I believe that's fair enough until we find a way to fix this then. Seeing that smile on your face always brings a sweet warmth to my heart so I'll relax for now.

Is there anywhere you'd like to go while I'm around sweetheart? Maybe go for some ice cream? I hear it's good for sore throats,"

Not that she had one, but still!

Oh my god, YES PLEASE.

Chiyo looked up at Ellistree and nodded so quickly and excitedly that one could worry that her neck might get hurt. She obviously liked the idea of getting ice cream. It was one of her most favorite treats, after all! She hasn't had any since she arrived, so now she was dying to get some.

Eagerness building up within her, she pulled away, ready to take off for sweet goodness. She was so giddy, she was nearly bouncing where she stood.

Ellistree let out an honest to goodness hearty chuckle. With that decision made in an instance, Ellistree easily picked up and turned Chiyo around her to give her a piggy back ride towards the ice cream shop. The lean athletic build the halfbreed sported wasn't just for show! She was a bonified warrior princess and her stature allowed her for better vantage.

"You secure up there sweetheart? Cause we're on out way to sweetsville~"

Even more hyped up at the prospect of getting a piggy back ride, Chiyo responded by, first, throwing a fist up in the air in a display of cheer before wrapping her arms around Ellistree's neck and nuzzling the side of her head.

She was totally ready and secure.

Time for lift off.

Ellistree smiled and with a quick nuzzle of her head back against Chiyo's, she took off at incredible speed.

Both Kaldorei and Trolls were naturally graceful and dexterous, so to see her going above normal speeds wasn't surprising and in addition, being a feral druid only enhanced her agility further. Ellistree bounded, lept, and jumped from ledge to ledge with ease, her supernatural strength making sure that Chiyo never fell during the trip.

She made sure to take the long way in hopes that Chiyo would enjoy the little ride.

Chiyo thoroughly enjoyed the ride, having never traveled at such a speed before. It was so amazing, she could feel her heart racing from excitement within her chest. She almost wondered if riding like this on Ellistree would be similar to riding a roller coaster. In spite of never having ridden on a roller coaster, Chiyo wanted to bet that Ellistree's ride was much more fun considering the view and how Ellistree could practically do anything to make this ride more personal and entertaining. When they arrived, she was almost sad that it was over and didn't want to let go, which blatantly showed through her reluctance to release her hold on Ellistree. She couldn't write her words in that position either, so it was up to Ellistree to interpret the situation as she pleased.

Ellistree relished in speed, it was her prime attribute and she excelled at it immensely. To say that she was having a blast would be an understatement and having someone along for the ride only prompted her to be more active, boastful and pull off a few tricks along the way.

Once they arrived, Elli could sense Chiyo's reluctance and that made her chuckle a little.

"You can stay there sweetheart. I'll just point to each ice cream flavor and you can nod once you see one you like. Pick as much or as little as you'd like okay?"

With that, Ellistree made her way to where the flavors were displayed and started naming them out.
