Dorm Log: Scorching Summer Edition

What: Dorm log!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Frankly? I don't care where. Go have fun, kids.
When: The span of June 14 - June 28th. Pick a date.
Warnings: Yeah, it got pretty naughty in here.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Stay up all night watching reruns of Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles? Break out the ice cream and industrial fans to beat the heat? Get a bad suntan while you're asleep with the help of your friends? Whatever you get your bad self up to. Your good self is welcome, too. Byakuya's mind was preoccupied with his own resistance to asking for help, and he chose instead to focus on Kiyotaka to put himself more at ease.

"You look terrible. Up all night studying again, I assume," he grumbled, skipping the pleasant greetings.

Did he really look so awful? He made a note to put more work into making himself presentable before he left the dorm. Which, he figured, should probably be soon so he could avoid being in an enclosed space with certain other parties.

Avoiding the issue like a real man. Oh yeah. He was a disgrace and kind of hated himself for it.

"I... did study last night, but as it is not finals season, I went to bed at a decent hour!" It would have been a lot easier to just go along with Byakuya's assumptions, but they were inaccurate and needed to be corrected. Kiyotaka quickly jumped away from the topic, though. If the heir was here it probably wasn't for chitchat. Oh... Right. He remembered now. How could he have forgotten in the first place?

"You are here about that make-up, aren't you?"

"Yes," he sighed, "I am. As long as your room mate isn't in right now, that's what I'm here for." He'd be damned if he was going to tend to a bruise in the vicinity of the person who gave it to him. That fucking lunatic.

"No, he isn't here!" Thank goodness for that. If Mondo was, Kiyotaka would certainly not be. He couldn't face him just yet.

Although why would that be an issue?

"...Wait a minute. Is he the one who did that to you?"

[richasshole]

The blonde stared down at the hall monitor for a long beat.

"... Are you going to let me in, or do you intend to make a hallway spectacle of us?"

[forgetbeam]

"Then come in!"

He turned and headed directly into the bathroom to grab the concealer and foundation from the cabinet.

"If it was my brother, I will deal with him accordingly. Here." He held both little tubes out without ceremony.

Likewise without ceremony, Byakuya took the makeup from him, sat down in a desk chair, and removed his glasses.

"... I had a memory."

"A memory...?"

He was tense beyond belief on a pretty much regular basis as it was, but Togami's words set him on edge even more. "You mean from before everything that happened, then?! What was it? How did you remember?!"

He cast a look at Kiyotaka out of the corner of his eye.

"When Oowada hit me. It wasn't like he was hitting me at this school. I was on the roof of Hope's Peak, we were all wearing the Hope's Peak uniform. Before Enoshima happened. He hit me for saying something to Fujisaki. You showed up, and then it was over."

"So it was him!"

Mondo was definitely getting an earful whenever he came back to the dorm. And a detention slip. He didn't care if it was summer.

He did, however, care about this glimpse of a memory Byakuya shared with him. Strange... It sounded so much like something that would have happened (and nearly did) after the lockdown, too.

"It was just a small memory, then." He closed his eyes, trying to conjure up the scene in his mind. It was easy enough to picture, but he wouldn't really call it a memory. Likely, he imagined, he would have showed up to chastise everyone involved in the scuffle. "But you were able to recall it by going through the same situation, is that it? Those little flashbacks are the same things that I have been experiencing!"

Byakuya turned his head fully, this being news to him. He remembered the feeling of gaining that memory back, and how his heart had been racing. Had this been a frequent thing for the other kids?

"You have?" He asked, his voice absent of any note of dryness. "What have yours been about?"

"Small things, but nothing insignificant." Remembering anything at all was very significant. His gaze flitted to the left while he tried to recall the bits and pieces he'd been able to gather over the past few months.

"On occasion, in this very school, I will turn a corner and become convinced I'm still in Hope's Peak. I was able to recall Ludenberg's real name simply through speaking with her..." In highly unusual circumstances he didn't want to bring up, sure. "Even last night, I--!"

He quickly bit his words back, not sure how to approach the subject. He still wasn't sure what it was. None of Byakuya's business, that was what. Although he wondered if others had known about it at the time. Ugh...

He cast a look to the emptier side of the dorm, frowning deeply.

"I remembered little things about spending time with people." Yes. That was good.
