Dorm Log: Scorching Summer Edition

What: Dorm log!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Frankly? I don't care where. Go have fun, kids.
When: The span of June 14 - June 28th. Pick a date.
Warnings: Yeah, it got pretty naughty in here.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Stay up all night watching reruns of Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles? Break out the ice cream and industrial fans to beat the heat? Get a bad suntan while you're asleep with the help of your friends? Whatever you get your bad self up to. Your good self is welcome, too. Phoenix had been going through his Farcebook account on his laptop while that ridiculous Judge Trudy show played on his TV in the background. (It was kind of his guilty pleasure, but he had to sigh at it so often. Not a great court show.)

He heard the knock on his door and he got up to answer it, though. He wasn't dressed in his nice clothes at the time - simple blue sweatpants and a white t-shirt were what he wore, so he hoped that whoever was here didn't need anything business-related.

And then he opened the door and he wished he could have shut it right there. His face fell slightly at the sight of Ron DeLite standing there. Oh god, what did he want?

"Oh... Hello Mr. DeLite, can I help you?"

I love these bastardized names for TV shows and companies, they're perfect

"Umm... Uh..."

Suddenly, Ron wasn't so sure himself, with the way Phoenix was looking at him. He shifted uncomfortably in his spot, twiddling his thumbs and looking back and forth nervously. "H-Hi, M-Mr. Wright...!"

...That still didn't answer Phoenix's question, nor did it explain why he was here. He started to feel even more anxious, his head bubbling with different things to say all at once. "I'm, err, I j-just wanted to s-say hi...!"

It wasn't that Phoenix didn't like Ron. Really, Ron was a nice guy and all, but he wasn't the type of person Phoenix would want to keep around as a constant companion. But he forced himself to give a weak smile toward Ron when he greeted Phoenix, since Phoenix had caught himself making a less than agreeable facial expression. (Damn his overactive face...)

"Oh, well then hi Mr. DeLite. Do you want to come in?"

No, Phoenix didn't want to have to entertain him right now, but it was the polite thing to do. Besides, they hadn't actually spoken for a while, and Phoenix always held curiosity as to how his old clients were faring.

"Yes!" he cried, a bit too enthusiastically. He caught himself and made an attempt to correct his social blunder.

"Erm. I mean, just... Just for a l-little, maybe," he mumbled. "If it's okay, that is. I wouldn't want to intrude if you actually don't want company..."

He was afraid of that answer. And of course, the mildly passive-aggressive comment that came after that (or was it even passive-aggressive? He wasn't sure if Ron was even aware of it).

"Okay, come on in," he replied, doing his best to keep a good face on for Ron.

He opened the door to his apartment, revealing the living area - a couch and a couple of chairs, a TV, etc. "Have a seat if you want. Can I get you anything?"

Ron took a step into his apartment with a light smile. "No, I'm okay," he insisted, not wanting to be too much of a bother. "I just wanted to know how you've been doing...? M-Maybe...?"

Oh. Well, Phoenix supposed it was natural for his former client to want to know how the guy who saved him was doing. Of course, Phoenix liked to check in on his former clients now and then too, since he always felt an attachment to them during their turmoil.

"Oh... I mean, I guess I'm fine." He shrugged. Of course, there was a lot on his mind, but nothing he particularly wanted to talk about with Ron DeLite. In fact, nothing he really felt like talking with anyone. Nothing horrible - just, a lot on his mind.

"But how have you been?"
