Dorm Log The Sequel To End All Sequels
Who: COLLECTIVE YOU
What: Dorm log!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. If your heart dreams it, your fingers can type it.
When: The span of February 27 - March 13
Warnings: This log is yellow-taped with all kinds of potential warnings. If your filthy imagination can conjure it, this log can produce it.
Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!
Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Feel like drawing graffiti on Professor Jin's door? Apologizing for the aftermath of the latest cupidbot fiasco? Doing each others' hair and talking about boys? Giving your trusted(?!?) friends a free ride in the dryer? Staying up late at night making use of those dick-shaped cake pans you found in the cupboard? Man, I don't care, just do it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

Celestia Ludenberg - Various places!
and probably robbing them blind, in the library reading a book, or in the cafeteria drinking tea. Should none of those interest you, she could always be in her dorm or walking down the hallways.no subject
Well, up until she saw Celestia's undeniably recognisable hair. So she poked her head in and lifted her left hand to give a wave, accompanied by a smile. "Miss Celestia!"
no subject
"Ah...Miss Voile, how good it is to see you again! Please, do come in and have a seat."
no subject
"I was almost certain you'd forgotten me," Voile confesses with a small smile. "I hope I'm not interrupting."
no subject
Honestly, perish the thought. There certainly were people the gambler would love to forget, but Voile wasn't on such a list.
"As for interrupting, don't be silly! I'm always happy to spend some time with company such as yourself."
no subject
Celestia was flattering her. And Voile, was the suspicious sort, mostly because most interactions dealt with some slight observance and potentially some emotional prying. Although to be fair, she usually tried to avoid that kind of behaviour, because as she'd told Phoenix some time before, she was not a fan of deliberately using her empathy or her telepathy for improper intentions.
"You're very sweet to say such a thing about someone you hardly know. If you'd wanted to know me further, you only had to express the interest." But she was beaming, so perhaps that meant she was pleased by the very concept. Her posture straightened and she slipped her hands behind her back as she closed the distance between them. "What were you up to?"
no subject
Of course, that didn't put her any higher than a Rank D, but what do you expect. You didn't start to truly matter to her just because you spoke and looked pretty.
"Well, I've always been very good at reading people." she states that simply enough, however she doesn't plan on elaborating any further. Oh well. "But yes, I would be love for us to get to know each other better. I was just playing a game of solitaire, as you can see-" she gestures to the table, where various cards are lying about. "but I wouldn't mind a friendly game of poker against you over tea and conversation."
no subject
She looked down to the table, eyed the cards, then looked back to Celestia. "If you wouldn't mind explaining the rules to me. I've never played before and while I doubt I'll be much of a challenge for you, it'd be a shame if the game were not so interesting." Her head tilted and her smile grew, as if to be reassuring for her dark-haired companion.
Do you want me to skip the explaination?
Once the deck has been properly shuffled, the gambler deals out the cards. 2 for Voile and 2 for Celes, placing the remaining card left in the deck face down to the side of her, since she'll be functioning as dealer.
"I'll explain to you the basics with a practice game. Shall we begin?"
YEAH. I THINK WE CAN SKIP IT.
ALRIGHT, GOT IT.

After picking up a few promising novels, she made her way towards Celes. "Celes," she called out (or rather...said quietly. It's still a library, after all.), "How lovely to see you today!"
no subject
As the young gambler asked her question, she patted down the on the seat of the couch next to her, gesturing for Sable to join her.

She looked down at her cast temporarily before glancing back up at Celes. "Granted, my arm is stuck in this old thing still, but I'm sure it won't be long until I can get the cast removed."

Sable thought a bit. “I suppose the only thing that’s very hard for me right now is carrying some supplies to and from the office and the home ec room. I mean…it’s doable to carry things with just one arm, but I have to make several trips. It takes so much longer! I certainly wouldn’t mind some help carrying some things, when the time comes.”
no subject
Truthfully, she really doesn't want to do such a mundane chore, but Ms. Sable had helped her out in the past. Besides, she never said she was going to be the one helping. Or, at the very least, not the entire time. That's what other people were for.
"Just let me know whenever you need some assistance. If I'm too busy, there's a friend of mine who I'm sure would be more than willing to help a teacher."

Celes pauses for a second, wondering what they should do next. This conversation seemed to have hit a bit of a wall. That is, until an idea hit her. "Speaking of which, why don't you and I do something to celebrate your improving health? Maybe have a nice meal?"
Cafeteria
Cress couldn't wring it from his mind. He couldn't even sort out how he should be feeling after such unexpected heights of passion. Perhaps it was this great uncertainty that barred him from wanting to seek her out for a while. He feared he would lose his cool and begin fumbling in unseemly ways in her presence, a side of him he wanted to avoid showing her at all costs. For someone who graced his thoughts so often and in such pleasant but heart-squeezing ways, messing up would be a disaster and it would bruise not just his ego, but his heart.
It almost seemed... as though the feelings lit aflame by those cupid bots were still glowing hot for her.
It took a lot of private mulling for him to decide, once and for all, to confront her about his behavior on that day of romance. He already knew of the places she frequented, and after checking a few of those locations peeked around the door frame to spot her in the cafeteria, quietly sipping tea. He ducked back behind the wall immediately and sucked in a lungful of air, held it tight, and let it seep back out.
"Focus, Cress. Surely you can do this."
Straightening out the bowtie on his school uniform and smoothing down his hair before emergence, he made his appearance and strolled into the cafeteria as though nothing was bothering him at all- but there was a sense of purpose following the trainer around, one with a tinge of urgency. But he smiled all the same when Celes's eyes would meet his.
"Good evening, Celestia," he greeted, smoothly as ever. "May I have the pleasure of sitting with you? I have something I would like to... talk with you about." Still smiling. Nonetheless, that tinge of urgency could be glimpsed hiding behind it all.

But Cress wasn't the only thing she was avoiding. She was avoiding herself, in a sense. The more she thought about that day, the more she realized that she might...actually...care about the young waiter.
Of course, Celes, being Celes, refused to acknowledge her feelings and denied them to the best of her abilities...only for Cress to come up to her right then and there, bringing up more emotions than she knew how to deal with. Thankfully, she was able to save face and remain calm, although who knew how long it would last. "Hello Cress," she starts, making sure her tone is nice and even. "please, go right ahead."
no subject
At first, the words would not come. He folded his hands on the table, pretended to be momentarily fascinated by something indiscernible over in the distance though there truly was nothing. Finally, he worked up the courage to speak. "I'm sure you recall the last time we saw each other..."

"Besides," she began again, keeping up her calm demeanor as best as possible. "it wouldn't be right for me to blame you, as I was the one who initiated things."
