Warnings: This log is yellow-taped with all kinds of potential warnings. If your filthy imagination can conjure it, this log can produce it.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Feel like drawing graffiti on Professor Jin's door? Apologizing for the aftermath of the latest cupidbot fiasco? Doing each others' hair and talking about boys? Giving your trusted(?!?) friends a free ride in the dryer? Staying up late at night making use of those dick-shaped cake pans you found in the cupboard? Man, I don't care, just do it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

He accidentally licks your hair... thing... and sputters.

Oh god, how many gallons of hair gel do you have in there.

He's making GACK sounds now.

It tastes mysteriously like butter OOPS. Not like Mondo even realizes his immoderate usage of hair product was the cause of all this gag reflex. Nonetheless, he is pulled down from dog smooch heaven to ask the struggling Arcanine, "Whoa, you okay there? Take it easy!" He pats his foreleg like you would a shoulder. "You were kind of going wild there."

His hair may now be a little more messed up than it was five seconds ago. Dog slobber can do that.

The arcanine coughed more. He smacked his mouth, making more funny sounds. He made a wry face. His face was so wry.

There was a sudden POOF of smoke.

[flamejock]

And suddenly the giant dog that was looming over you has been replaced by this guy with a duckbutt hairdo and a goatee and muscles. He's still making a wry face.

"Your hair tastes bad! Why does it taste like that? What do you put in it?"

Nothing could have prepared Mondo for giant dogs poofing into dudes. Nothing. It just didn't happen. But it happened. And now a guy with a duckbutt hairdo and a goatee and muscles that did not need pointing out was looming over him. He felt his brain melt a little inside his skull.

"What... What the hell!?!"

Really though. What else do you say to that?!

[flamejock]

"Your hair," said Jock. "You have something in your hair that, when I licked it, made me cough. What do you put in your hair? It tastes awful. Mom's hair tastes nice, but that was like licking a wooper."

Your hair is like licking a wooper, Mondo.

That's nice, Jock, but Mondo was light years away from the conversation you're currently trying to hold. He's more focused on the fact that the guy who is now standing over him was once a dog. A fluffy dog who chews bones and licks his face. AUGH GROSS. THIS DUDE LICKED HIS FACE.

The gang leader scrambles to his feet, wipes his face with his sleeve and backs away a step in his complete and utter stupefaction. He faces Jock with a perturbed grimace. "What ARE you... Some kinda werewolf?!" He didn't even believe in werewolves. NOW HE'S NOT SO SURE.

[flamejock]

Jock looks confused. "No, I'm an arcanine. I'm a pokemon. I'm Blue's arcanine. She's really nice. You should get to know her. She's the best person ever. And I'm her arcanine. Lots of pokemon come to this school and learn to turn into people. I turned into a guy so I could ask you what you have in your hair, but I'm usually an arcanine." Jock is now standing up on his feet.

[butterbelieveamanspromise]

"Slow down, dammit!" he barks with a fist raised. "I can't even understand half of what you're running your mouth about!" Which only made him even MORE ill at ease. Just when his life throws him talking sadistic teddy bears and time travel to name a couple "impossible" things on the list, it has to sneak in werewolves. Or arcade nines or whatever the hell he was supposed to be.

[flamejock]

!! This guy didn't know what pokemon were. What a terrible life this man must lead. Like that robot on that date. Jock would have to take this easily for the guy with the bad-tasting hair.

"My name is Jock. I'm an arcanine. An arcanine is a type of pokemon. Pokemon are animals with amazing fighting abilities! I'm a fire-type. That means I can shoot fire out of my mouth and things like that. Here, look."

There was another poof, dear reader.

And suddenly the six-foot-tall dog was back. Oh, so fluffy and wonderful. The dog pointed his mouth at the heavens and flame-throwered a flame-thrower attack. A pillar of fire, such as led the Israelites through the desert, came into being. It was magnificent. It was beyond magnificent. It was... scrumtrulescent.

And then it went away and the dog was looking at you and not making an attempt to burn down the very heavens.

It's like... every strange event happened right after the next for the sole purpose of suspending his disbelief about everything he accepted about the world and the limitations he expected of it. If it's not a giant dog, it's a giant dog that can also turn into a man, that can also breathe fire. What was next? The glow emitted from the plume of scrumtrulescent flames flickered across his awestruck face almost symbolically.

Whoa.

"That's... badass..."

[flamedog]

Badass was not a word in Jock's lexicon, as Blue was a dainty lady who did not use such language.

If he'd been on Team Green, he'd be familiar with the phrase. But he wasn't.

He just looks at you quizzically, for a moment, before the smoke happens again.

[flamejock]

"What does 'badass' mean?" Jock asked, now back to being a human, and looking sort of chastened for some reason. "I know what bad means..."

[butterbelieveamanspromise]

"Oh, come on! Do I really gotta explain it to you? It's a compliment. Not saying you're bad, just saying you could really kick some ass. Don't be stupid."

[flamejock]

"Oh!" said Jock, perking right up because you just complimented him with being able to 'really kick some ass.' "I never heard that word before. Badass. Badass. I'm badass. I like that."

He's getting close up to you again. "What's your name?"

[butterbelieveamanspromise]

The gang leader edges back a mite to save a bit of personal space for himself because whoaaaa dude, easy, we just met (besides, what if he tries licking him again?? Punch him in the jowl, obviously). "Name's Mondo Oowada. Can't say I know what to make of you, but... nice meetin' you I guess."

Once you go human, it's hard to see you as a dog again. But he is a dog. How does this work?? How should Mondo be feeling right now? It's pretty obvious he doesn't know yet. Honestly, it felt like he was living in some kind of folktale where mythic animals could take on human guises.

[flamejock]

"Hi, Mondo!" said Jock cheerfully. "Are we friends now?"

Jock wants to be friends so bad, Mondo. Can you see it in his eyes? It's there, Mondo. It's. There.

[butterbelieveamanspromise]

It's so there that there's no way he can possibly ignore the bright and hopeful gleam of a pair of puppy eyes staring straight at him. He can totally see the dog in there. It's impossible to say no to them. But how do you spit out a yes so quickly, either? IT'S SO HARD. He looks away to the side a little and fumbles with his words some.

"Y-Yeah. Sure. Why not."

[flamejock]

And suddenly the guy with the facial hair and the muscles and the tattoos is hugging you tightly, Mondo.

Can you feel the love? Can you?

[butterbelieveamanspromise]

YEAH. HE FEELS IT ALRIGHT. In his busted clavicle. Which was from an injury completely unrelated to being mowed down by a monstrous 350-pound dog legend. Mondo grunts and tries to push him off, but it's an astonishingly half-hearted effort for someone like Mondo who could easily force him off if he wanted to.

"Okay, okay! We're friends already! Now get off me."

[flamejock]

Jock stops hugging him so tightly and lets go. But he still looks deeply into Mondo's stupid eyes.

"Do you want to play catch?" Jock asks sincerely. "I love balls."

He loves balls, Mondo.

[butterbelieveamanspromise]

It's really hard not to envision this suggested game of catch with Jock playing as the form in front of him, running on all fours and acting like a dog in a man's body. Which... he kind of is.

"You don't mean you're gonna play like..." He gestures up and down the scale of Jock with his hand before finishing his sentence. "Like this, are you?"

BECAUSE THAT WOULD LOOK STUPID.
