Dorm Log The Sequel To End All Sequels

Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. If your heart dreams it, your fingers can type it.
When: The span of February 27 - March 13
Warnings: This log is yellow-taped with all kinds of potential warnings. If your filthy imagination can conjure it, this log can produce it.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Feel like drawing graffiti on Professor Jin's door? Apologizing for the aftermath of the latest cupidbot fiasco? Doing each others' hair and talking about boys? Giving your trusted(?!?) friends a free ride in the dryer? Staying up late at night making use of those dick-shaped cake pans you found in the cupboard? Man, I don't care, just do it! Don't let this log get away untagged.

She didn't know if he would notice or not with such the serious and focused aura that came from him, but Maisy wasn't surprised to be noticed. She wasn't being very sneaky, after all!

But that he stared at her without saying anything though confused her for a moment- at that, she would have thought he might say something...!

She looked at him, silent in their little staring fun, until deciding to do the most amazing thing ever.

"Maaaa!"

Say hi.

Yep, that didn't answer any of his burning questions at all. He pointed a stern finger at Maisy's nose.

"Are you a student, or are you a pet? If you are a student, you are loitering! If you are a pet, please return to your owner!"

If she was a pet, she probably couldn't understand him...

!!! Oh no, loitering?! But Maisy doesn't even know what that word is, though the sudden finger at her nose makes her jump!

"Maaaareep???" she asked, confused, and taking tiny steps left and right to try and see what she was doing wrong. What was she doing wrong?? Maisy looked back up at Ishimaru questioningly. "Mareep? Maaa?"

"What does that mean?! I don't speak sheep!"

It had to mean something, right? Regular old pets wouldn't kick up such a fuss... then again, he didn't know much about farm animals. Or even standard housepets.

"Maaa!"

Oh no, was he frustrated about this problematic situation involving loitering and not being able to understand her? She tried to think-- she could turn human, but she wouldn't have her clothes, which she had been warned about.

Well--- the only way to fix this was to go and come back! With that idea in her head, Maisy nodded her head to Ishimaru.

"Mareep, mareep!"

Stay there, okay??? She jumped a little on the spot, then turned around to go bouncing off!

He watched the little sheep rush off, frowning. It certainly didn't answer the mystery of whether she was a student or a pet, but if she was leaving, at least that meant she wasn't loitering anymore, right?

And she probably wasn't going to come back. As far as he knew. So that solved that.

Now seemed like an excellent time to make sure there wasn't any sheep shit nearby.

There was loads, Ishimaru. Sheep droppings, as far as the eye can see. Except not because Maisy is school trained. Nope. If there were any droppings around, it was from someone else.

In some time though, about ten to twenty minutes, Maisy did return to the area once again. She had to get to her room, change- it was all a difficult process for the Mareep, even though she had had some practice.

Would Ishimaru still be there for the blonde-haired girl to see when she peers her head around the corner of the hallway?

While he wasn't in that exact spot, he was certainly still in the area. Everything here seemed to be in order, at least! Since the coast was clear of any animal droppings, Ishimaru came to the brilliant conclusion that it must have been a student after all... Regular farm animals were notorious for not being house trained. School trained. Whatever. Also, regular farm sheep did not have ears or tails quite like that one did. Not that that meant much here.

And lo! Here was a girl with similar ears and a big fluffy head of hair, much like sheep's wool!

Ishimaru did not make the connection.

Instead he offered a curt "good afternoon," apparently satisfied by the simple fact that she didn't appear to be causing any kind of ruckus.

Maisy was disappointed at first, believing she might've missed the person. Oh, she had wanted to speak to him, too! And want to ensure him that she wasn't causing any trouble at all. Or maybe without knowing, she had been causing trouble? Such thoughts did go through the Mareep's mind as she had gone from Pokemon to human.

Fortunately, it turned out that the person hadn't moved too far away wehn she went looking around, and even spoke to her, too! She did look fine enough, dressed in her school uniform all proper. She quickly put up two of her fingers up to her head like a salute, smiling brightly as she gave a small bow!

"Good afternooon!"

Ah, but oh wait! The smile disappeared quickly after she stood properly again, and a look of worry crossed Maisy's face.

"Maa, did I do something baaad before? I didn't meaan to. Did I~?"

Ah, what good manners this girl had! It was refreshing, considering some of the rowdy delinquents this school was unfortunate enough to have leeching off the place. With the exception of a certain delinquent who might exchange fistbumps with him. He could make an exception there. Sometimes.

"What did you do before?"

Hold on... Her speech was a little off. Drawing her vowels out in a way not unlike bleating. Bleating he heard just earlier.

COULD IT BE.

Only one way to find out.

"Are you that sheep?!"

"Maaaaa."

It really did somehow feel like she had done something terrible, and Maisy lowered her head and nodded in response to Ishimaru's question. But she lifted her head back up, looking very guilty.

"I didn't want to make you maaad."

"I'm not mad!" (MAD)

"However, you need to be sure not to stand around in the halls with no purpose!"

"Maa?" He wasn't mad? That made Maisy happen, but the smile was brief before it went. "Reeally? Whhy?"

MAISY KEEPS HAPPENING...

"For example... What if there were an emergency? Somebody could trip over you and endanger both of you!"

FUDGE (MAD) Maisy, she's always happening.

Ohhh, that made sense, kinda...! What logic. "Buuut, if I'm waiting for someooone, what should I dooo? Should I siiit?"

"In that case, pick a meeting spot that is either more open or has proper seating so you are safely out of the way!"

Someone seemed way too proud of himself for giving out really basic advice. But he was being useful and informing this sheep-girl of things she would have otherwise stayed tragically ignorant about!

"Were you expecting to meet somebody now?"

Ohh, it was things that Maisy didn't know about at all! But though she knew about "proper seating" as in chairs, the girl's first thought was to think about maybe just sitting on the floor if she ever waited for somebody.

But alas, she didn't bring that up, but instead nodded her head.

"I was meeting yooou. I wanted to see what you do when you finish walking arouund!"

Because meeting and following = the same thing.

"Me?"

Oh, so that's why she'd been staring at him so intently before... But was somebody really so curious about what he did with his time? He hoped the answer didn't disappoint her.

"Well... What I do after my patrols depends on the time of day! In the mornings and after lunch, I go to attend my classes! Since this is an afternoon, I plan to go directly to my dorm to study! By following this routine strictly, I don't waste any time in wondering what I should do next!"

Patrols... Maisy knew about patrolling! She had done the same thing during the blackout, as instructed by one Mister Cid Highwind.

But she didn't know people were still doing it!

"Maa, you do that everydaaay? What do you study?" If the sound of her didn't give it away, his answer wasn't disappointing at all. Instead, it had her wondering even further about him. He sounded like a human who knew what he was doing! And he was looking forward to studying too? That made her even more excited; Maisy liked to study too!

Wow, cool guy!

Someone thought Ishimaru was cool, the end was truly nigh.

But he seemed to be incredibly flattered that this kid was so interested in what he had to say. Right, he'd make sure that every word counted and that he could influence her to also be a model citizen!

"I spend equal amounts of time on each subject! Ancient Literature, Bird Studies, Criminal Justice, Ethics, Boxes 101, Traditional Weaponry, Physics, Biology, Political Science, Physical Education, Martial Arts, and Public Speaking!"

Oh god who even had time for all of those.

"My method is to study for each class I have the next day, so I can go into each one prepared for a surprise test! What do you think? That's clever planning, isn't it?"
