[open log] meteor shower
Who: Anyone!
What: Meteor shower time! SO INTENSE
Where: Anywhere you choose~
When: futuredated, Thursday, August 12th. Any time that's dark is good for seeing stars, 8 or later; it goes in to the early morning of the 13th, too.
Just as promised, tonight was going to be a night full of shooting stars.

From anywhere in Final Destination City, these beautiful streaks of light can be seen dashing across the sky. Why not use the night to take your date out and watch the stars together? Perhaps a new relationship could form. Or break. Maybe a wish could come true. The sky was simply stunning, and the weather allowed for a comfortable atmosphere. It's a nice night to go out and watch the night sky.
[[OOC: Go ahead and make your own character threads! Mark them with a time so people don't throw babies into 4 o'clock threads if they shouldn't be there. That'd be awesome. Go nuts. If you need some more information, I based it off of the Perseid meteor shower, so hopefully that could help you out.]]

11 PM, dorm complex rooftop
The sky was wonderfully alight with stunning, sparkling white clusters shooting across the sky. This coupled with the clear night sky, the stars shining through, and the pure lack of clouds in the air just made for a wondrous sight-- a sight she'd never forget.
She stood atop of the roof, her eyes locked onto the lights dotting the sky.

Around 9 PM, the park
Goose was absolutely shrieking at the top of his lungs with excitement. Things like this, spectacles in the sky... they just sent his heart aflutter. He was a pilot. By nature, he just felt as if it was in his blood to feel so amazed by anything like this. Anything involving the skies that he graced was always something to behold.
Thus, he was here in the park, toting a wicker picnic basket with a picnic blanket in one hand and a cooler of beer in the other. He was seeking a
romanticROMANTICfabugheywonderful night with his fiance, and goddamn was he ever going to get that."Hey, is this a good spot?" He questioned, pointing near a nice, open spot with only a tree nearby.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
"I guess so," he shrugged. He glanced up to the sky. It was certainly a clear night. The lieutenant still wasn't sure what the other man had planned.

10 PM, Stadium.
11 pm, near the lake
Even so, he had been watching the sky for some time, standing alone with his arms slightly up to his sides as though recieving benediction.
It wasn't often that he dropped his guard to such a degree, but the sight, the feeling, the overwhelming sensation of simply knowing the vastness of the universe had put him in a trance. And the knowledge that he would someday make it his own brought a tear to his eye that he didn't feel.
I COULDN'T RESIST....
He was carrying a bucket of fish to the lake to feed the resident Gyarados stalking him.Easy! He had a flashlight out and was probably expecting more of the "kids sneaking out after curfew to booze it up" thing than... What...He shined his flashlight at the back of Cyrus' head before he approached and saw the guy was just standing there, staring at the sky. He looked up like he was trying to find whatever was so darned interesting. Oh, hey, a meteor shower. Neat.
... Wait, wait. Hold on. Was he crying? Seriously? "... It ain't that nice, is it?"

12 AM
The ghost had already admitted to herself that she was more interested in 'making friends' tonight, anyways. That lead her to keep hiding behind this bush, and... well, she'd just have to wait for people to come by.
Re: 12 AM
What wasn't cool was that he ran right into a tree right by Milimili's hiding spot while watching the sky. That snapped him back to reality, but he recovered quickly and went on his way - it's not like anyone saw him do that, right?

Re: 10 PM, somewhere nearby a tree in a field
"Psst," Meta Knight called to the tree, and maybe tossed a wrapped-up sandwich pver there. WAS HE GONE?? MAYBE. ...No... No he was still there. Creep.

Lake, 2 am
That's what Giovanni had wondered when he has seen the entry on the network about the meteor shower. Hm...Silver had been 8 then.
Four years.
Well, they could start over again. It would take work, but they'd make it a habit once more.
Of course, he practically had to drag the boy to the lake where they could watch them in private, the silver streaks across the sky reflecting in the cool waters. How mesmerizing it would be.
This night could be important in their relationship. After all, he'd almost lost his son, he wanted tonight to go well. He'd even made some hot chocolate and bought some peanut butter cookies (because him making them would have been a colossal failure), his son's favorites. Yes, it could go well tonight indeed.
If he could wake his son up first, that is.
The boy was passed out on the sofa in the living room, and he had found out these past few nights that his son slept even heavier than before he had left. So after trying everything, he finally had to use a cold water technique- but just putting the boy's hand in some. "Silver, wake up..."
Re: Lake, 2 am
That didn't work out so well, once he was up he was up regardless of whether or not he wanted to be. He contemplated how much it sucked living with him and during various points of his day wanting to put his fist through the wall a couple of times for no real reason whatsoever. Not now of course, being too tired to really get to that level of anger and frustration. All this he thought in the span of a few minutes while he faced the back cushions and blinked a few times so his eyes could adjust to being awake.
After that little episode of self pity he sat up. "What do you want?" he grumbled, not quite remembering that message about the meteor shower tonight.

Especially when you were drunk.
Shinon was sitting under a tree - hell if he could get in one - staring up at the sky through the branches. It looked soooo much prettier, he though, like this. He snickered at nothing, smiling all the while.
WHAT A DRAMATIC INTRODUCTION
Such is the way of mysterious magic wormholes punched through space and time.Clearly she was not in
KansasSacae any more. SOMEHOW, through some series of STAGGERING COINCIDENCES, she wandered past Shinon's field of vision and could have sworn he was sleeping. Right. --Oh, wow, shooting stars! Maybe she should make a wish...R-RYNDIS MY SWEET

10:00 or so; balcony of the teacher's complex
Was the sky ever impressive tonight, though! He hadn't expected it to be so pristine. Luckily, it was a moonless night, so no blinding beams of ghostly light impeded the view. In no time, his thoughts and musings took wing. [[Options: bug him or leave him alone.]]
Re: 10:00 or so; balcony of the teacher's complex
He liked taking walks at night. With the meteor showering going on tonight, this walk was promised to be even more wonderful than usual. However, when Morty stepped out of his dorm, he was distracted by Falkner who was just down the balcony. They hadn't spoken face-to-face much yet, had they?
Though, the atmosphere at the moment didn't seem right for conversation. Morty sidled in next to Falkner against the rail and watched the streaks without a word. Silence is golden and all that.

4AM; outside the teacher's complex
He quietly grabbed his sketch book and pencil from the bedroom, then made his way outside. Raikov plopped himself in a spot where the sky was completely clear then began drawing. The sky was so gorgeous... and he wasn't very good with photography, so the next best thing he could do was draw it.

9 PM, right outside the student dorm building
She was hovering right outside the dorm complex, admiring the stars - both still and shooting ones. It reminded her of the adventure that she went on with Mario and her friends: walking up the Star Way to the tiny town of Star Haven, and finally taking the small flying chariot up to Bowser's Castle for the final battle. Speaking of, it had been a while since she went up that sparkling path to the peaceful village. How were the stars up there doing? Furthermore, how were the Star Spirits themselves holding up?
If anything, she now felt like making a wish. She closed her eyes and wished that the next few days would be just as peaceful as this night
and a lifetime supply of candy.no subject
Peace can only be granted if there is no strife, it communicated telepathically.

10pm, on the side of a main building
A student had posted a notice about the meteors, but he had completely forgotten about that too. He had just happened to be outside during the event and for that he was thankful. Ivan stopped where he was, leaning against the building and let a soft smile cross his features as he watched the sky. It was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen, and so peaceful! He had been thinking a lot about recent events still; the nightmare, changing into an animal, Thad leaving, but this was a good moment to just let it all go.
He took a deep breath, continued admiring the sky for all its worth, and muttered a soft 'thank you' for the moment of tranquility.
11:30pm, out near the green house [SURPISE]
Erika couldn't ask for anything more fulfilling than that. She just watched the tiny streaks of light in the sky, leaning back contently against Tangrowth's soft frame. The giant plant's arm was draped over her like a makeshift blanket, and Erika was gently stroking the flower petals of Bellossom as the smaller pokemon sat in her lap. The whole team was out tonight to watch the show.
Though most of them were much better about getting a full night of sleep than she was. Most of them were already snoozing away around her, except for Vileplume. She sat nearby, holding up her petals to get a full view of the night sky. Erika watched with her, at peace.
Re: 11:30pm, out near the green house [SURPISE]
"Is someone there?" She called out, peering out to get a better view.

3 AM. Parking lot. Bother at will.
Still, a change in perspective was always a good thing. Finding himself unable to sleep, he figured an acceptable alternative was to stargaze in the school parking lot on top of his car. If anything, it was nice to take advantage of the warm weather while it lasted.
2am, rooftop
She couldn't just let Cyrus try to corrupt her roommate so freely. First, she'd give her side of the things, and then let the solrock decide for itself. Then perhaps it was time for her to talk with Cyrus himself. He probably would never understand but...at least she'd try. Such was the way of freewill.
She sad on the roof, the usual posse of nearby wild Pokemon gathering around her, resting her back on an arcanine, petting a murkrow under the chin. The entire assembled group was oddly silent, and the feeling of peace almost radiated around the area.
Re: 2am, rooftop
When he went up to the rooftop for some fresh air, he want to go back inside and hurl in a bucket. God damn.
So he turned on his heels and started heading back in. No way he was going to talk to Bob during such a disgusting evening.
