[open log] meteor shower

Who: Anyone!
What: Meteor shower time! SO INTENSE
Where: Anywhere you choose~
When: futuredated, Thursday, August 12th. Any time that's dark is good for seeing stars, 8 or later; it goes in to the early morning of the 13th, too.

Just as promised, tonight was going to be a night full of shooting stars.

From anywhere in Final Destination City, these beautiful streaks of light can be seen dashing across the sky. Why not use the night to take your date out and watch the stars together? Perhaps a new relationship could form. Or break. Maybe a wish could come true. The sky was simply stunning, and the weather allowed for a comfortable atmosphere. It's a nice night to go out and watch the night sky.

[[OOC: Go ahead and make your own character threads! Mark them with a time so people don't throw babies into 4 o'clock threads if they shouldn't be there. That'd be awesome. Go nuts. If you need some more information, I based it off of the Perseid meteor shower, so hopefully that could help you out.]]

[bug is always the answer]

He liked taking walks at night. With the meteor showering going on tonight, this walk was promised to be even more wonderful than usual. However, when Morty stepped out of his dorm, he was distracted by Falkner who was just down the balcony. They hadn't spoken face-to-face much yet, had they?

Though, the atmosphere at the moment didn't seem right for conversation. Morty sidled in next to Falkner against the rail and watched the streaks without a word. Silence is golden and all that.

[wise words! :D]
Like a true ghost Morty slipped by on Falkner's radar, so it was only when Ecruteak's gym leader stood right by his side that he became aware. His thoughts clapped to a close as he bristled at being startled by the sudden presence known.

It was slightly embarrassing to be caught reacting like that. But Morty really had appeared out of nowhere. Maybe he hadn't and he was too wrapped up by the sky's allure? Anyway, he decided to crack the silence. "Morty... ha, where did you come from?"

Morty laughed under his breath, pointing back in the direction he came. He hadn't expected to surprise Falkner that much. Or he expected the Pidgey to make a peep about him arriving. "From over there.

"I didn't mean to disturb you, though. It's just been a while." He humbled himself with a softer expression.

"You didn't disturb me at all." Oh, he must have come from his own apartment. Now there really wasn't a reason to be so surprised. "I just didn't see you there." Pidgey cooed.

"But you're right. It has been a while." Months? A year? It really did seem like a long time, sans their short journal conversation and the occasional glancing hallway pass-by. "How long have you been teaching at this school?" He rested his arms back against the railing again, folding his hands together. His eyes returned to the stars.
