[open log] meteor shower

Who: Anyone!
What: Meteor shower time! SO INTENSE
Where: Anywhere you choose~
When: futuredated, Thursday, August 12th. Any time that's dark is good for seeing stars, 8 or later; it goes in to the early morning of the 13th, too.

Just as promised, tonight was going to be a night full of shooting stars.

From anywhere in Final Destination City, these beautiful streaks of light can be seen dashing across the sky. Why not use the night to take your date out and watch the stars together? Perhaps a new relationship could form. Or break. Maybe a wish could come true. The sky was simply stunning, and the weather allowed for a comfortable atmosphere. It's a nice night to go out and watch the night sky.

[[OOC: Go ahead and make your own character threads! Mark them with a time so people don't throw babies into 4 o'clock threads if they shouldn't be there. That'd be awesome. Go nuts. If you need some more information, I based it off of the Perseid meteor shower, so hopefully that could help you out.]]

Giovanni sighed, pushing his glasses up. Clearly the blonde had no sense of his humour yet.
"I was...joking. It's called 'Sarcasm', I use it frequently. Get used to it. Also I 'poke fun' at friends occasionally. It was the latter. Silly Russian."

Raikov withdrew himself and went back to his sketch, a snooty look on his face. "Well, I liked the nickname, sarcasm or not."

The other man sighed again, mentally wondering why the Russian was more finicky then most women he'd met.
"Alright alright, but I'm not calling you the English around your lover. I'd like to stay alive, thank you. And stop that, that sort of sarcasm is how I show I'm comfortable with someone." He patted Raikov on the shoulder.

"Yes, it would be rather foolish for you to say that in English around him." There. Attention reverted back to him. "And nicknames are rather personal in the Soviet Union. You're lucky I didn't get more upset over the fact that you were joking."

Ack. Cultural differences ahoy!

"I...I apologize. I didn't realize that, Ivan." Sweatdropping so much. "I'm sorry. I...didn't mean for it to come across as that." Great... now he was struggling to apologize...

Victory. Raikov eased up a bit and managed a smile. "Since it's you, I'm willing to forgive."

Phew...Crisis Averted.

There was a sigh of relief, "Thank you." The easing of his own was visible, and he decided to make the topic more pleasant. "So...you like that nickname? Better than fratello?" He chuckled nervously, "I suppose this means 'Vanni' is going to get tossed around more..."

[identity profile] majorcrotchgrab.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
"They both sound nice, actually. And would you rather have me just call you by your full name?"

[identity profile] breaks-ground.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
"'Brother' versus 'Kitten'...your choice, your nickname." He chuckled, lightheartedly this time, "I told you, Vanni's fine for personal...or if you want to use something in Russian. Doesn't matter to me." Just trying to repair that frayed edge right now...

[identity profile] majorcrotchgrab.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
"Whatever you're more comfortable with." He shrugged.

[identity profile] breaks-ground.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, you liked Gattino, so we'll use that." And, since he had planned on giving the Russian it anyway... "By the way, I have something for you."

[identity profile] majorcrotchgrab.livejournal.com 2010-08-17 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
That perked his interest. Something? For him?

"Oh?"

"Yes...a small thing as thanks for your help last week." He dug into his jacket (yes he was wearing out out here too... at least it was a more casual one) and retrieved a long velvet box. Handing it to Raikov, he averted his eyes slightly, "It seemed like something you might like."

If Raikov were to open it, he'd see it contained a rather nice looking men's bracelet. (http://www.overstockjeweler.com/images/sterling-silver-jewelry-cz-bracelet-sapphire-p2061.jpg)
