[open log] meteor shower
Who: Anyone!
What: Meteor shower time! SO INTENSE
Where: Anywhere you choose~
When: futuredated, Thursday, August 12th. Any time that's dark is good for seeing stars, 8 or later; it goes in to the early morning of the 13th, too.
Just as promised, tonight was going to be a night full of shooting stars.

From anywhere in Final Destination City, these beautiful streaks of light can be seen dashing across the sky. Why not use the night to take your date out and watch the stars together? Perhaps a new relationship could form. Or break. Maybe a wish could come true. The sky was simply stunning, and the weather allowed for a comfortable atmosphere. It's a nice night to go out and watch the night sky.
[[OOC: Go ahead and make your own character threads! Mark them with a time so people don't throw babies into 4 o'clock threads if they shouldn't be there. That'd be awesome. Go nuts. If you need some more information, I based it off of the Perseid meteor shower, so hopefully that could help you out.]]

Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Goose didn't resist for a single minute then. He quickly grabbed his own spoon and dove in before they could even get back to the park, scooping up a bite of Surge's ice cream and shoving it into his mouth.
He paused for a brief moment, gauging the flavor, his face markedly surprised.
... He then rushed for the nearest trash can and spat it out, thoroughly disgusted.
Well, that didn't end so well.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Surge was caught between raising a confused eyebrow and laughing at Goose's race to the trashcan. Being the compassionate fiance that he was, the lieutenant went with the latter. It couldn't have been that bad, could it?
Between chuckles, Surge tried the ice cream. At first, there was a strong salt flavor. But as it dissolved on his tongue, he got the creaminess of the ice cream. It certainly wasn't the sweetest treat, which was probably why Goose didn't like it. But it wasn't overly salty. Just the right balance for the lieutenant's taste buds.
Still, that didn't mean Surge wasn't going to laugh at Goose's expense. "You're just overreactin'."
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Goose shot Surge that look. That look of, 'Are you crazy, it was terrible, I'm not overreacting, I'm never trying it again, you are a silly person,' to say the least.
But then he grinned. "Pfeh, I bet you'd react if I gave you my ice cream, too. Maybe..." He laughed playfully. "You're bein' chicken?"
Oh yes, Surge. He went there. He went. There.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Oh no. Goose did not just go there. You don't call a tall, muscular, military guy who had served in numerous wars and faced countless life-or-death situations a "chicken."
Surge knew Goose was taunting him. He knew that if he accepted the challenge, he'd be playing into the pilot's hands. But frankly? He didn't give a crap. If his pride was on the line, he was going to defend it, no matter the cost.
"Give me that," he snatched the younger man's ice cream. Taking a bite, he winced. Oh god too sweet too sweet.
He handed the orange cream ice cream back, trying to recover from the sugar overload. "See?" he forced a grin, trying to ignore the disgusting layer of sugar coating his tongue. "That wasn't... so bad."
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
And of course, Goose repaid the favor for when he tried his fiance's ice cream -- he cracked up laughing right in front of him. He just had this feeling that Surge couldn't stand it. It was... probably because of that wince and how forced his grin seemed. Yeah, probably.
"But still bad?" He chortled, a hand cupped over his mouth as he tried to stop with his obviously rude mirth. "Y-You should see the look on your..."
Okay, fine, one more hearty laugh, and he was done. Seriously. Really, he's done now. "O-Okay, let's... get back? Or do you want more of my ice cream first?" That smirk wouldn't leave him.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Ah damn, Goose saw through it. Not that it was really all that difficult. "Still bad," he shook his head, the taste finally disappearing from his mouth. Another bite of his own ice cream, and the sickeningly sweet flavor was gone.
Surge just rolled his eyes at the offer. "Let's just go back."
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
how he should be glad he didn't goit when he's back then~))"Yeah, yeah~"
Off they went. The night was growing older, and while the meteor shower was lovely, they would probably have to go very, very soon, likely after their ice cream. Goose knew this and accepted this. Besides, they had a nice night, right? Surely they'd have many more wonderful nights like this. Probably not with the meteor shower included, but still, since they were getting married, that was just-...
Oh hello, a squirrel digging into their picnic. And by that, I mean a very certain white and blue-type kind of electric squirrel.
"Wha- hey!" Goose shouted out, only for the Pachirisu raiding their food to notice.
The good news was that it ran off!
The bad news was that it ran off with the leftover potatoes. Wonderful.
"The hell- was that a- but it just- Maaaaaatt," the pilot whined. "What kinda Pokemon runs off with people's foods?" Stupid, stupid wild Pachirisu.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Oh right, Goose was talking to him. "What?" he shot a blank stare at the pilot. Surge didn't even acknowledge the fact that he just ignored the younger man. Oops.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
But now he couldn't because some squirrel thing took it. Oops.
"But you had to have seen it take the-" Goose simply cut himself off, and for once, he was the one facepalming.
"H-Heh... it took our food."
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
"That was a Pachirisu," Pokedex description was go. "It's an electric type Pokemon from Sinnoh."
Because that explained everything.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
"Heh, well. That's why," he shook his head and elbowed his fiance on his arm. He then made his way back to the blanket on the grass and plopped down on it.
"You sure love them electric-types. How'd you even get around likin' them so much?" Goose's liking for flying-types was kind of obvious, but Surge... well, okay, no, his last name sure said a lot, but a last name was unable to be helped sans marriage. But still.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
He snorted. "I've always been close with 'em. Dunno when it really started. But before I knew it, they were my partners. I've been through hell and back with 'em."
As for why specifically electric types, even he couldn't really say. They were energetic and packed quite a punch, sure. But that could be said for quite a few Pokemon types. Plain and simple, he just couldn't remember why he had chosen that first, fateful electric Pokemon.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
He really liked the idea of Pokemon in general. They just seemed so... friendly and loyal for the most part. He had seen how awesome Surge's Raichu was, how docile Nancy was (most of the time), and many other Pokemon and their pleasant natures. It was just something he wanted to try for himself one day.
Ah, to hell with it.
"... Y'know what kinda Pokemon I'd wanna train? A flyin'-type," he stated, an implicating grin on his face. It was as if he was just screaming, 'One day, I wanna get a Pokemon. Maybe.' Not anytime soon, but one day.
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
"Is that so?" he pulled the other man close, wrapping an arm around his fiance. "But trainin' a Pokemon isn't all fun and games. You gotta know what moves they can learn, their strengths and weaknesses, not to mention adjust for each Pokemon's unique personality. You think you're still up for the challenge?"
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
Unless Goose got a Flygon. WHAT NOW, SURGE?Goose chuckled a little, snuggling up to his fiance and yawning quite loudly. He was obviously pretty tired by now, considering the time. "Heh... I could handle that, no prob'. I'd just need the right Pokemon to start with. Somethin' I kinda like a lot more."
He then grinned widely. "I think I know what kinda Pokemon I'd want to."
A pause.
"So how 'bout a Starly?"
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
"Not bad. Probably a good idea to start small. Got a good evolution line." For a normal/flying dual type.
"But we'll worry 'bout that for another day," he chuckled. "We should probably head on home now. It's gettin' late."
Re: Around 9 PM, the park
"Heh, yeah, good plan. Let's pack up," he suggested, but before that...
"And hey, thanks," he spoke up, planting a kiss on his cheek for one last little moment of sap.
