Dorm Log: Scorching Summer Edition

What: Dorm log!
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus. Frankly? I don't care where. Go have fun, kids.
When: The span of June 14 - June 28th. Pick a date.
Warnings: Yeah, it got pretty naughty in here.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Whatever you want. It can all be yours if you make a thread. Stay up all night watching reruns of Teenage Mutant Ninja Squirtles? Break out the ice cream and industrial fans to beat the heat? Get a bad suntan while you're asleep with the help of your friends? Whatever you get your bad self up to. Your good self is welcome, too. "When you say 'working out,' what exactly do you mean?"

She tried to flex for him, which didn't exactly go quite as planned. As to be expected with how thin she was. "Because... Well. As you can see, there's not much to me, Jolt. Not that I mind watching you show off."

"Jogging, strength training, target practice... Gotta keep on top of my game, never know when a battle is coming!" Jolt explained eagerly.

For a moment, she didn't say anything. Then the smile she gave him was a little sad. "Don't you ever think that there are other things than simply battling? I mean, battling is great, of course, and it's wonderful if you stay on top of things, but there's more to life than just... battles."

Because to be fair, he sounded rather one-track minded.

"Well, I play video games and compete with Char, hang out with my friends," he added. "I know there's more to life than battling, but it IS a big part of my life after all! So I treat some of it as work, y'know."

"That I can understand," Voile admitted, a bit hesitantly. "Even though contests were my entire life in Lilycove, however, I rarely do anything with them here. The atmosphere is so different and it's not as if contests are so common. I have a hard time believing Gold or Red, or any of the others, are constantly tossing their Pokéballs in the stadium and having regular challenges."

"Maybe not," Jolt chuckled. "But every now and then we've gotta go back to Viridian City to face a challenger, y'know. Besides. I like it."

"Viridian City." She blinked, "Is that where you're from, then?"

Because she couldn't remember hearing the name before. Kanto, she knew, because Red was from Kanto. Although to be fair, she didn't know where the region was either.

"That I am. The boss originally comes from Pallet Town, but we moved to Viridian City when he took over as the gym leader," Jolt helpfully explained.

It was and was not helpful.
Was. And. Was not.
Because they were only names.

"I've never been to Kanto," Voile clarified with a sheepish smile. "One day, I do hope I'll get to go."

"You haven't?" he asked. "Hey, one day I'll take you there!"

Voile paused rather blatantly as she eyed him. "That's quite the undertaking, Jolt. People might get the wrong idea if you did something like that."

"What's wrong with friends taking a trip?" he asked.

"Well. If it was just the two of us..."

She offered him a shrug and a knowing smile, though it was slight and vague. "People put pieces together, even if they aren't the right pieces. The public sees what it wants to see."

Jolt shrugged. "I've never been one to care what others think, but hey, it's up to you!"
