Who: Samus and YOUUUU What: holy balls Armed Weaponry class Where: Room 214 / Stadium in Shoot The Targets mode When: Tuesday, February 11th Warnings: S for Samus [MUCH LIKE ANY OF HER OTHER CLASSES, Samus has totally been teaching hers in spirit the whole time and not just once a year as my abysmal log posting activity shows. If that. That said, welcome to Armed Weaponry... or at least the note on room 214 is telling you that:
Students of Armed Weaponry class please meet in the stadium today.
PS- tardiness due to previously unforeseen weather events including and not limited to leftover edible snow will not be excused. Student uprisings and Fighting For Your Rights may be slightly more forgivable depending on when that happens. BUT! For intents and purposes... yeah man, that snow has got to be all kinds of gross and brown by now. No amount of adorable seasonal garland-y pink-hearted Valentine's Day decor strung from the ceilings will cover that up (sorry Zelda). So Armed Weaponry will be reconvening to the large stadium with the dome roof tightly sealed. No sticky situations will be had here in their fighting fortress. Today's fight will be against these suckers placed strategically throughout a large floating arrangement of slippery icy blocks.]Today we'll be running through Target Smash obstacle course four. Take note of the icy surface and the hazards it can present. Ice and cold are not exactly my favorite things in the world, but... [TIME TO DEMONSTRATE! Bundled up in little more than jeans and a flexible blue jacket, Samus leaps up to the rightmost lower section of pillared platforms and uses her momentum to slide down the slope. The target is taken out with a single pink bolt from her paralyzer gun and it looks like she's going to slide right off the edge into the icy abyss, BUT NAY! She continues to use her momentum to provide a nice kick-off for a wall jump across the adjacent platform and up onto the next. She's not going to run through the whole course (of course) so from there she slides off and hits safe ground with a dull thud. She made it look so easy.]You must be nimble and utilize your weight efficiently. Only ranged weapons will be allowed. [BEHOLD! A BOX OF ITEMS! Inside you may make your selection of RAY GUN (both old and new models), SUPER SCOPE, CRACKER LAUNCHER, STAR ROD, Cornerian styled blaster, and bows that aren't but look suspiciously like the Hero's Bow. There are probably other odds and ends in here as well.]You may utilize special abilities so long as the target isn't ultimately destroyed by a melee attack. If you want to punch stuff go see Max in Smash Fundamentals, There are ten targets in total. You will be timed. [She slides her gun right back in her thigh holster super cool]Good luck.

Who: Samus and YOUUUU What: holy balls Armed Weaponry class Where: Room 214 / Stadium in Shoot The Targets mode When: Backdated to Tuesday, March 20th Warnings: S for Samus [MUCH LIKE ANY OF HER OTHER CLASSES, Samus has totally been teaching hers in spirit the whole time and not just once a year as my abysmal log posting activity shows. If that. That said, welcome to Armed Weaponry. Samus has made herself quite comfortable behind her desk, making a very controlled effort to not comment on Jeff being not here but not very far but that's far enough for her to miss him not that she'd ever openly admit this anyway, and Maxizard shenanigans, or whoever signed her up for the auction clearly has a death wish. Also there will be no mentions of whatever crazy drinking shenanigans happened last weekend. It was all too crazy and amazahorrible for words, surely. She's probably still got a hangover.]Just because student festival events are occurring does not mean my classes are canceled. [Yeah, probably a hangover.]...But if you complete your assignments before class is over, you're free to leave early. [Maybe just a barely lingering hangover.]Today we'll be revisiting the Ray Gun. It's a simple, light weight, plasma-based weapon that is designed for short-term fights. It contains enough energy for only sixteen shots, and does very little damage. Weak as single shots are, you don't want to be on the receiving end of a full round. [Samus renders a diagram on the white board which her tits smudge at least twice.] These are the basic parts of a Ray Gun. As you can see, compared to a traditional handgun, there's no need for a hammer, cylinder, or a magazine to store ammo. A disposable gun is cheaper to produce if it uses fewer parts. For today's assignment, you'll familiarize yourself with all of those parts... [Samus pulls a real Ray Gun from her desk drawer and holds it up to show.]...Inside, and out. [INDEED, she makes very short work of disassembling the gun, not unlike this Glock.]Up at the front of the classroom is a large bin filled with various Ray Gun parts. I counted--there are exactly enough in here to build one gun per student. Get your parts, assemble your gun, and go shoot some targets in the stadium. If someone has mistakenly or purposefully [CHAR SHE'S LOOKING AT YOU] taken a part you need, retrieve it from them in as much of a civilized manner as I can expect from you. If you fail to properly and safely assemble your gun, it will not work and you obviously will not be shooting any targets, and you will not receive a passing grade today. Any objections? Understood?

Who: Samus and YOUUUU What: Armed Weaponry class Where: Room 214 / Courtyard When: Mid-morning Tuesday, July 27th Warnings: Wet bodies running around in heat?! [Samus, who has totally been teaching this class in spirit the entire time, waits for everyone to fill in the classroom before starting a very exciting lecture.] Today I'm going to give a small lecture on airsoft guns which will be followed by a quiz, and then an optional extracurricular classroom activity in the courtyard. Because I may or may not have plans this afternoon.Airsoft guns are ancient primitive replica firearms that are similar to BB guns with the exception that BB guns fire metal pellets, whereas airsoft guns fire plastic ones. I'll be using the HFC HG-196 Full Metal Gas Airsoft Pistol as an example today. [This is where she starts writing on the board and drawing diagrams and expects you to pay attention.] Gas-powered airsoft guns use pressurized gas to propel pellets. These guns are capable of automatic and semi-automatic operation. The most common gases used are "green gas", or HFC-134a, which consists of a mixture of propane and a polysiloxane lubricant. The generic parts of this gun are the magazine, magazine catch, slide, thumb safety, hammer, trigger, and frame. All should be self explanatory. To refill the gas, you would need to remove the magazine and tilt the magazine base upwards, then insert the nozzle of the gas container. Using the wrong kind of gas will damage the gun and probably your hand too if you try to fire it. I picked this particular weapon today because it partially emulates a non-lethal gun that I would be comfortable allowing you all the play with. I think.[She holds this plastic gun up from her desk. Yes, it is a super soaker.] ...Should you pass my quiz first. Super soakers, while a recreational toy, also use an air pressurized reservoir system to focus their ammo--water--out of the nozzle for greater accuracy and firepower. Sometimes an entirely separate firing chamber may be used but the result is the same. Hand in your quizes, and you may receive a super soaker. Once everyone is complete you are free to spend the remainder of the class in the courtyard utilizing your new found knowledge in a practical setting. If you do not wish to participate, I suggest you stay out of the courtyard today. Also go squirt Miller later in the evening because he deserves it. - Tags:!class log, !rp log, # armed weaponry, alex/zapdos (pokemon), amp/pikachu (pokemon), captain falcon (f-zero), fox mccloud (star fox), jeff andonuts (mother), kazuhira miller (metal gear), kerosene/charizard (pokemon), lark/nester (pilotwings), little mac (punch out), pit (kid icarus), samus aran (metroid), slippy toad (starfox)

Who: Smaus and childrens and not childrens What: Armed Weaponry Class Where: Courtyard, outside. Snow. When: Tuesday, Dec 8th Warnings: Cheeseburger guns and shenanigans [[AGAIN this class has totally been taught in spirit this whole time and this particular class is backdated to Tuesday. And I am still the hugest derp.]]*TODAY. Armed Weaponry will be taking place OUTSIDE in the snow, yes. There is a large note written on Miss Aran's chalkboard stating this for super special for students who did not hear her announce this the last dozen or so times last class, or are stragglers running late and didn't get the memo. Once enough students have filtered into the school's large, open, white-covered courtyard Samus will start her lecture.* Today we will be revisiting the Super Scope, an item I hope you are all more than familiar with by now and learning how to use your surrounding environment to your advantage. Here, *as Samus rips off the cover to a large table she had dragged out here earlier, on said table containing a multitude of SUPER SCOPES* you will find Super Scopes modified with a thermal scope instead of a normal scope. This will allow you to see extreme temperature differences, making it easier to detect your opponent in cold settings. Today will be a simple class. No teams, no capture the flag, just a free-for-all. Utilize your thermal scopes to find opponents. Utilize your environment to avoid detection. The Super Scope itself will generate heat when it is fired, so keep this in mind. Also keep in mind, *as Samus picks up a Super Scope for herself* I will be playing along with you. [[The gun itself will record the number of times you are hit and/or successfully hit someone else and will not fire should you try to leave the courtyard with it. Other teachers and non-Armed Weaponry Students are more than welcome to stumble into the courtyard and play too. ♥ ]] - Tags:!class log, # armed weaponry, apple kid (mother), bonechill (mario), captain falcon (f-zero), flak (advance wars), jake (advance wars), kerosene/charizard (pokemon), lark/nester (pilotwings), lash (advance wars), lemmy koopa (mario), mario (mario), max (advance wars), misty (pokemon), pit (kid icarus), samus aran (metroid), slippy toad (starfox), tony (mother)

[[Samus has TOTALLY been teaching the entire time in spirit since the school year started again but for all intensive purposes consider this the beginning class aaaaa hello I am a huge derp. 8I Also this class is slightly backdated to Tuesday aha.]]*Samus has written out on a large dry-erase board the class name and is leaning against her desk as students andor bothersome teachers B| filter in the class* Welcome to Armed Weaponry. Since we've had an influx of new students I'm going to cover some of the introductory basics really quick again before moving on. Or for those of you who like to not pay attention, consider it a second chance. Don't waste it.The purpose of this class is to teach you how to safely and effectively use projectile weapons; IE how to not shoot your eye out. Unless you're into that sort of thing. I still get my paycheck regardless. I'll be covering everything from laser guns to bows and arrows, with demonstrations and... yes even field trips if you're good. New students; You can call me Miss Aran, or Samus will do just fine. I'd like everyone to fill these questions on scrap paper and then pass them to the front, so I can get to know you all a little better. This will also count as attendance so don't try to worm out of it.*Said questions are being written on the board;* *after that Samus clears the board and draws* Today I'm going to give a small lecture on the parts of a typical firearm, using the Super Scope as a basic example. Not all weapons will operate like this, but this is typically average. Most of this should be self-explanatory, the Super Scope isn't a terribly complicated weapon. It rests on your shoulder like this *as she so gestures with her hands, like a bazooka* and is a beam gun that does not use live rounds for ammunition, but does have a limited usage of shots. It holds enough for forty-eight rapid-fire shots, or about three fully charged blasts. The longer charged, the more powerful the shots. It's not designed for precision, so you need to be patient and make your shots count. *Ms. Aran hopes you are taking notes because there may or may not be a quiz next time on this.* ...any questions? - Tags:!class log, # armed weaponry, apple kid (mother), captain falcon (f-zero), flak (advance wars), jeff andonuts (mother), kumatora (mother), lark/nester (pilotwings), lash (advance wars), max (advance wars), nyx/gengar (pokemon), pit (kid icarus), samus aran (metroid), slippy toad (starfox)

*Samus is holding class outside today in the snow. There are various targets set up at different distances and heights. Samus is also still quite m-manrii, but he's not thinking anything of it right now. ... Although, he coughs before speaking, as if to clear his throat*Today's class you're going to become acquainted with the Ray Gun. *Ray Gun acquired!*It's a simple, light weight weapon that contains enough energy to shoot 16 rounds, and they do very very little damage. There will be no shooting eyes out in my class today, sorry to disappoint. Weak as it is, it's still enough to break practice targets. *as Samus gestures to the various white and red magically regenerating bull's eye targets nearby, either sticking out of the ground or on trees, ect* If you manage to break all 10 targets, you'll get an 'A' and I'll give you the unofficial title of Laser Marksman. 16 shots, 10 targets, no time limit. That sounds pretty easy. That's why today you'll be using your off-hand. I can not stress the value of being at least practical with both your left and right hands. What would happen if you broke your good hand or if it got chopped off or something? Take your time; practice is the only way to get better at this. Make it count. *Otacon casually resting on the teacher's desk. Samus (Jeff) is sitting behind him* Hello everyone! I'm Dr. Hal Emmerich, but I'd rather you all call me Otacon. Ms. Aran has asked me to help her with classes today since I happen to be very knowledgeable about this particular subject. *waves at Samus! Jeff* This will actually combine both of her classes and will be a bit longer! I hope no one minds. I think you'll like what I have in store... *Pushes a box in plain view that had been hidden behind the teacher's desk* Natasha is going to kill us once she finds I used our money for this and a private suite. Has anyone seen the anime, Mobile Suit Gundam? *pushes glasses up his nose* It's a bit old, but rather enjoyable. Unlike its super robot cousins, Gundam attempted realism in robot design and weaponry, as well as the thematic and ethical roles of the robots themselves. In a way, it influenced me and what I do with my life today, so I thought it would be fitting for me to share this passion with you. Today you'll all be building your own robots! *Takes out his own model:* This is what we'll all be building. Don't worry, I picked the easiest garage kit models I could find. I should note that these Gundams ACTUALLY WORK once you're done with them. However, I regret to say that this model does not have the flamethrowers, since they've been banned from the market. *sighs sadly* We'll be working a few things into your Gundam: The Minovsky Ultracompact Fusion Reactor: The Minovsky particles are produced as a byproduct of the helium-3 fusion reaction were recycled to keep that reaction going. The Minovsky particles that form the I-field lattice also help catalyze the fusion reaction. Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC): Fundamental technology that allows for thrusterless manoeuvring in the zero-G environment of space by mobile suits by means of precise movement control of their limbs. That's right, your Gundam will be able to fly, short distances! Beam Rifle: This device stores Minovsky particles in a high-energy pre-compressed state, so that only a small amount of additional energy is required to trigger their fusion into mega-particles. It uses the energy core to fire tiny lasers from it's gun. These are actually pretty harmless as I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt right? *laughs* Just don't point them at a friend's eye. You'll have to be very careful when building them, since they all have the Minovsky mini-nuclear reaction kit in them, and it comes with some plutonium. If you have questions about the physics or helium-3 fusion reactions, don't be afraid to ask me! Miss Aran shall be taking attendance and then I can hand each of you a kit so you can start building these! I'll also be playing some anime episodes on the projector screen, so you can have an idea of what your little robots can do! Just remember, it will be on a much smaller scale, and it won't involve space travel. Sadly. - Tags:!class log, # armed weaponry, # biomech, bowser (mario), bulba/venusaur (pokemon), chibi-robo (chibi-robo!), eggman/robotnik (sonic the hedgehog), ionia/blue pikmin (pikmin), jeff andonuts (mother), manaphy (pokemon), otacon (metal gear), pokey (mother), sky shaymin (pokemon), slippy toad (starfox), snake (metal gear), tony (mother)

Today we'll be covering the basics of judging speed, distance and time; crucial elements when dealing with projectile attacks. There are three ways to determine these factors: You can eyeball or visually estimate it, which comes only with practice and experience. You can use mathematical formulas... ...or you can just have dumb luck. Since you're here to learn, I'm obligated to teach you the correct way until you get comfortable enough to eyeball it without error. *writes on chalkboard* Here are the basic formulas: Distance ÷ Speed = Time
Distance ÷ Time = Speed
Time × Speed = DistanceThere's a lot more to it than that, but I'll leave the details for you to learn in Falcon's Physics class and/or Linebeck's Math class...For example, the average human can throw something the size and weight like *tosses in her hands* this capsule at 55 miles per hour. That's roughly 80 feet per second. Therefore... *points to a random student in the back row of seats* it'll only take me 0.3125 seconds to clock you in the head with this capsule since your sitting about 25 feet away from where I'm currently standing. 0.3125 seconds. That's the speed at which you blink your eyes.Of course, I can throw this capsule much faster than the average human, but just for lesson's sake... How many seconds would it take for me to hit you with the capsule if you were seated, say, 100 feet away? Additionally, many of prefer to use tools in combat, aka weapons. Weapons that will exceed speeds and strengths very few people can physically match alone. Things like guns, bows, even magic... so keep that in mind. That means no blinking, unless you like getting hit. If you have any questions about my plans for the upcoming festival/tournament, now is also an acceptable time to ask...
[[Teachers, as always, are also welcome to pop in for whatever reasons they deem and be a nuisance among teh students to Sammy. :3]]

[[Assume this class happens after Porky's Philosophy class]]Leon's sick because he's an idiot who can't read. But you all knew that anyway. I'll be subbing for him in the meantime. You can call me Miss Aran, or Samus will do just fine. Leon didn't exactly leave any footnotes so you guys might have to help fill me in on what he's covered already. For the sake of my sanity, I'm going to try and integrate my class lessons with Leon's, even if you aren't ordinarily in my classes... a little extra learning never hurt. Today will be "projectile weaponry and item usage" together. That means Zoology and [Bio]Mechanical Engineering tomorrow ...this is gonna' be interesting.Actually, I'll make you kids a special deal; if you cooperate well enough in these combination classes [that is to say, the ones I sub until Leon gets back], I'll exempt you from my classes. There's no point in covering the same thing twice when you can do it in one shot. You can take that as a "free study class" ...Because, I know you're all going to run over to the "library" and study like good little students, and not play hooky, of course. And I certainly didn't suggest that, not I~ But only if you're good and help me out here. Do not mistake my kindness for weakness, or you will sorely regret it.I'll start with role call... [[Which will be more like a self role call. *3*; Comment if you're here. Teachers, as always, are also welcome to drop in randomly too.
