What: HOT SPRINGS: HOTEL EDITION
Where: The hot springs RESORT.
When: March 25th - March 29th
Warnings: Hotel shenanigans.

After a relatively normal bus ride, you find yourself at a secluded mountain resort.



The hotel is all-inclusive, with every manner of amenities and activities (skewed toward the relaxing--with saunas and spas and hot tubs aplenty) to keep one occupied for a full five days. Time for some much needed R & R.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this!

"Who knows! I might learn something new from other magic users, right? Not that I need to, but you never know~. Otherwise, I just don't think I'm cut out for teaching. Maybe one-on-one... But beyond that, and it might get lethal in there!"

But then, he giggles. "Not that I'd mind a bit of spilt blood, hee hee!"

"True, it would never hurt to know of powers from different worlds." Or better yet, find out how their powers work so he can take it for himself... But still, even though he had said he didn't want to be a student again, he also didn't think he was teacher material, either. He shrugged the thought off; if the headmasters said he was good to be a teacher, then so be it.

"Blood, huh? I could care less if students go killing each other." Schezo waved it off, finally closing his book to give more attention to the other. "You have to defeat your opponents to become a strong wizard anyways."

[cruelcurse]

"Whoah, somebody agrees with me!" he said, seeming surprised. "Whenever I say that death is just a natural part of training and fighting, I'm told that I'm crazy. But look, even the teacher agrees with me!"

That settled it. "Y'know, I think I'm gonna take your class anyway. I think it'll be fun, at least!" And maybe he'd get to fight some students. Yessss.

"Hmph, don't expect the class to be easy for you, then. I will not be going easy on anyone in the class." He gave a smirk in response.

"You would like the final test I have planned for the class if you like to fight, then." Granted, if this place would be willing to let one or two accidental deaths go.

[cruelcurse]

"I'll ace it if it has anything to do with that. No problem-o," he replied, that same smile adorning his features. "I love mage fights! They're so much fun~ and it's fun to see what the other guy has up his sleeve. Anything the teacher says, goes~ Look how fun that will be, if you just tell us to have at it! I'll just have to do what you say, after all."

[areiard]

"Is that so? Then I'll have to think of some extra curricular assignments for you then."

He didn't know what, but he'd find a good assignment for this guy, wouldn't he?

"Make sure it's extra bloody! Ooooh, bonus points if it involves sacrificial magic and widespread dismay. That's the kind of extra assignment I'd be all over!"

This kid is messed up in the head. My god.

"......" Schezo narrowed his eyes at the other before slowly placing his hand onto his face.

"Do that on your own free time. I'd rather not get caught up in a clear mess like that."

"Whaaat? So that's not what you had in mind?" Henry sighed heavily. "Ah well. I guess I will just have to do that on my own, won't I? No biggie."

"Just leave me out of it." He replied, frowning, getting back into his usual grumpy self, leaning back into his couch seat as he opened his book back up. "Unless it's about strengthening magic powers, I will not associate with your extra curricular activities."

[cruelcurse]

"Yes, sir~" chirped Henry, leaning his head on the arm of the couch. "I'll stay hush-hush about it."

But then he wondered. What was this guy's specialty? Better yet, wasn't there something else he was forgetting...? The feeling Schezo gave off felt much like his own, as Henry could gather: he felt something similar to the darkness that he was so familiar with. Maybe. So that much, he could gather. But what was that other important thing he was supposed to figure out...?

"Oh, yeah! What's your name? Mine's Henry. I'm a dark mage, born and raised in Plegia: the real deal, here! Doesn't get much more sinister than that, nya ha!" He stopped and waited for Schezo's introduction.

"I have no clue where Plegia is." Schezo commented nonchalantly while quietly noting his realization of feeling some sort of familiar air surrounding the other as well, before proceeding with his introduction.

"I am Schezo Wegey. I hold the title of the Dark Wizard from a series of worlds that I come from." He gave a pause before going on, "your dark powers feels slightly different than mine. It'd be interesting to compare the differences."

Schezo was never the kind of person who'd hide his thoughts that much.

[cruelcurse]

"Good to meet ya, Schezo~" sang Henry, rocking back on his heels. He kept his balance by continuing to cling onto the arm of the couch, and then rocked back onto his toes. "Ahaha, I don't doubt it. Your magic feels different, I noticed. Not sure how, but I guess it makes sense, considering we're from different places."

Henry was fairly sure even slight differences in disciplines could evoke different talents from people. Maybe that meant that this dark wizard called upon his power from a source different from his own? Henry quit clinging to the arm of the couch, and from his side on the floor, he pulled a book out from under his cape. It was a purple-bound book with an intricate cover. Most noticeable of the designs on the cover of this book was an embellished lightning bolt that decorated its front, though this was by no means a Thunder tome. Henry pointed to the book.

"What do you use to do magic?"

Schezo took a look at the book as he stayed quiet; a magic item? He couldn't tell for sure, but he did sense some power from the item. But if it was anything like his Sword of Darkness, the other wouldn't let another wizard's hands on their precious weapon.

But there was no need to not answer the other's question, though. When he was asked for his source of magic, Schezo set the book down on the table to pick up his sword, which had been placed on the table, sheathed.

"This Sword of Darkness is what I use for spells." He was able to conjure spells without its help, but that was nothing compared to what he can do with the sword. Plus, it just made things easier to attack with a weapon in hand.

He unsheathed the sword to show the transparent blade to Henry. He was doubtful that the other would try to use the sword. For magic or not, the weapon was still fairly heavy to wield.

Its transparency reminded Henry of glass, and he almost wanted to see if it would snap the way a glass sword might. Of course, that would involve not only touching Schezo's prized weapon, but probably grabbing it inappropriately by the blade - two things which Henry was not about to do, for various and understandable reasons.

"So this is a magic sword? Pretty neat," Henry commented, twisting his head around to look at it differently. "I've seen some swords that work like that. I'm not one to wield swords. Ahaha, I probably don't look the type anyway~." Yeah, heavy lifting wasn't up Henry's alley. "Does that mean you use thunder magic too? Just curious~"

[areiard]

It was sturdier than it looked, actually. A blue-haired kid once threw it into the air carelessly while trying to look for his imaginary insect before. While it's a weapon cherished by Schezo, it's not something that would easily break.

"You have? I'm curious if they are much more similar to how this blade works." Schezo replied as he sheathed his sword back and placed it back next to his feet. "And indeed, you don't look like the type to wield a weapon. The tome fits you best... Or maybe perhaps a broom?"

[cruelcurse]

"Ahahaha, a broom?" he repeated. He clearly found this very amusing. "Who uses a broom to cast magic?"

[areiard]

"I know of one." Schezo replied, frowning slightly at remembering a certain girl. For a descendant of a great magic user, she sure was very klutzy with her spells. "There used to be another, but they changed their choice of weapon."

It's a theme they apparently have among Comet Wizards. They both had a hat and a broom at one point.

"And, yes. I do have some lightning spells, actually." He then replied, almost forgetting the last question. "I am able to use other elements as well, but lightning and dark elements are what I excel in the best."

Henry imagined his good friend Ricken with a broom. He felt like he learned something that day. "Brooms sound kinda impractical to cast magic... Unless they're cursed. In that case, I'm all for cursed brooms."

Henry really wanted to touch the sword. But he did not extend his hand at all, not one bit. One time he tried out a Levin Sword, and it was pretty unwieldy in his hand. It probably wouldn't be a good idea. So instead, he just watched the sword.

[areiard]

"A cursed broom..." Schezo trailed off with a small chuckle. "Perhaps things would be a lot more interesting if they were. But each magic user has their own magic item to conjure magic with, as with my sword and your piece of literature."

He did notice Henry eyeing the sword, though, and thought for a moment before finally getting out of his seat, picking up the sword to hand it over to the other.

"You've been looking at the sword for a while. Do you wish to take a better look at the Sword of Darkness? As long as you don't go running with it, I'm fine letting those who are interested to view it."

[cruelcurse]

"Whoa, really?" asked Henry, leaning in toward the sword. "I can look? Ahaha, I'd really like to~"

And with that, Henry grabbed the sword by the blade and cut himself reached for the handle and held it in his hand, turning it around experimentally. "I've only held a sword maybe two times in my whole life," he admitted. "I guess that's a pathetic amount of times, isn't it~? Still, this makes this my third. Hee hee, I'd like to see how using magic with this works, especially with a name like the Sword of Darkness~"

Schezo stared apathetically at the blood spewing out from the cut.

"To those not knowing how to use it, the sword would be just a normal sword." Schezo replied. "As for showing how to use with magic... Perhaps there will be a more suitable opportunity than at the moment."

For the little while he was around the city before they left for this inn, he did hear that Smash Academy was a fighting school. There has to be numerous chances where they would show their skills, right?

[cruelcurse]

Meanwhile, Henry stared in amazement and sighed dreamily. "Wow, would you look at that~"

"Oooh, like a demonstration," mused Henry, tilting the sword back and forth in his hand. He watched the blade with amusement, and looked down to the handle and his own hand. "I bet in unwieldy hands like mine, I'd probably destroy this place if I wasn't careful, ahaha~ You're right, there are probably better places to see what it does."

[areiard]

"You better clean up after yourself, I don't want stains left over." Schezo replied as he shook his head in disappointment.

"That may be a possibility." Schezo replied slowly, clearly looking unsure whether he'd like that to happen or not, "but I would figure nothing would happen if you do not know how to properly channel your powers through it."

[cruelcurse]

"See, that's the thing," started the mage, gripping onto the handle with both hands and turning his focus back to Schezo. "I don't need an item to use magic, but it sure does give me a wicked boost. I think if I wanted to, I could channel magic through this. I'm just not so sure that's a great idea, if you know what I'm saying." He looked around. "I don't think the owners of this place would be too happy, ahaha~"
