What: HOT SPRINGS: HOTEL EDITION
Where: The hot springs RESORT.
When: March 25th - March 29th
Warnings: Hotel shenanigans.

After a relatively normal bus ride, you find yourself at a secluded mountain resort.



The hotel is all-inclusive, with every manner of amenities and activities (skewed toward the relaxing--with saunas and spas and hot tubs aplenty) to keep one occupied for a full five days. Time for some much needed R & R.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this!

Goombella could be found most anywhere at the resort in the hotels. Reading, watching the wildlife and flora... She found all sorts of ways to occupy her time.

"Yes. I was simply interested in seeing the title of your book. It has thus engrossed you and I wish to know what it is that interests the student body."

Silly Cyrus, Goombella's interests were far nerdier than you could have imagined.

She held up the book. "I'm reading a guide to native flora and fauna, identifying and studying some of the plantlife around the resort," she explained.

Silly Goombella, Cyrus's interest in gathering all useful knowledge is far greater than you could have imagined.

He stood up a bit, looking at the cover some more. "I had not expected a student to spend their time here on anything useful. Or the staff either. I commend you on your studies. What have you learned?"

"Well, so far, that there's a lot of plantlife around here that doesn't naturally occur in this region," she explained. "I suppose like a lot of things in Final Destination City, nothing's quite where it's supposed to be."

Glum about these unexpected "developments", Pit traipses around the resort the morning after his curse began. She had a towel draped over her, with nothing on but her underarmor and boots, taking in the scenery along the trails as a way to clear her mind without the distractions of people. It seemed hard to take a bath around others when she was now in the body of a girl.

On her aimless excursion, she happened to run into a familiar face. She perked up and became curious about what she was doing, began walking toward her, but then slowed her pace down when she began to feel self-conscious about the way she looked now. She didn't want to freak her out! "Uhh, hey, Goombella," she said when it was inevitable that her presence had been made known.

"Pit! Hi there!" she greeted happily. She always enjoyed seeing her friends, and at the moment she suspected nothing out of the ordinary. Yet.

She approached. "What's up? Having fun?" she asked.

She scrunched the towel closer around herself. "Oh, yeah! How could I not have fun at a hot springs resort? You saw me bouncing off the walls of the bus before we got here, right?"

"I thought you were gonna bounce right through a window!" Goombella laughed. "So have you been to the springs yet, or are you on your way out now?"

"Pfff, me? Of course I have. It just wouldn't be in character of me if I didn't take a flying leap right at first sight." Pit looked down at her toes and wiggled them for no reason except to give her some social lubrication against her awkward feelings about being a girl and not knowing how to break it to Goombella in a smooth manner.

"So what about you? Have you gone for a dip yet? The springs are nice and hot around here, and I'm in love with the dinky little waterfall at the edge. It's fun to sit under."

"Not yet, but I'm about to--" She stopped.

"Wait. The dinky little waterfall...? Pit, did you go in there?" she asked.

Pit gave her headlight eyes. Was there a reason she was making a deal out of it? "Huh? Yeah, sure did. Why?"

"I read the brochures, Pit. That's the cursed spring that changes your gender!"

"Oh. Right," she replied flatly. Well, that was anticlimactic. Pit already knew that! Good thing Kyogre was there to spill the deets.

Aaaaand now Goombella totally knew about his girl problem. Her girl problem. Whatever.

"So I guess that means I don't have to say anything for you to know what happened to me last night, huh?"

"I suppose not," she said. "I mean, are you okay?" she asked.

He shrugged and blew out a stream of air. "Beats me. I mean, it's not the worst curse in the world. Get turned into a walking snack with a hungry wizard, THEN come talk to me about a terrible curse. If it doesn't wear off on its own, there's gotta be a way to reverse it somewhere. Right?"

"That sounds pretty bad," she agreed. She put a finger on her chin. "Probably, but I DID meet this creepy guy earlier who said it would be fun to make the curses last even longer," Goombella added.

A horrified look passed across his face and his jaw dropped like a lead ton weight.

"Aaaagh! Why would you DO that?" Pit balled his fist and shook it. "He should try this curse on for size. See what it feels like!"

The fist he made stopped jittering as the intensity of his feelings fizzled out, and then it unfolded and was left to drop altogether. "Although... I guess there's nothing to feel bad about. Except I... can't even bring myself to take my clothes off yet." His cheeks started to glow red. "I'm too embarrassed to look at my own body."

"That's exactly what I thought!" she replied. "I couldn't believe it!"

She cocked her head. "You haven't yet...? You're going to have to eventually... Um, do you need any help...?"

The redness spread just as the weird thoughts did across his brain. "Uhhh... What... kinds of things do you think I need help with? You're a girl, so..." Oh gosh, he couldn't even look her straight on anymore. The shame was too much! It probably involved being naked around her, didn't it? Would there be touching involved? Yeah, he totally couldn't take it. He was like a pressurized can about to burst under blistering heat.

"Do you need any clothes or anything?" she offered helpfully.

"Oh, I'm good on the clothes front! I think." Oh, huh. He never really though about it. Now that he was a girl, DID he need new clothes? Pit sent his eyes skyward as he pondered briefly.

"You don't think I could use any, do you? I don't know the first thing about being a girl." He looked down at his underarmor and back up at her, feeling embarrassed again as their eyes met. "Is my tunic back in my room "girl" enough or would it look weird when I wear it? If I'm a girl, might as well not walk around like a fashion disaster while I'm at it!"

He was thinking too hard about this.

"Well, girls inherently need, um... 'support' that guys don't," she tried to phrase delicately. "I don't think you've got that..."
