What: HOT SPRINGS: HOTEL EDITION
Where: The hot springs RESORT.
When: March 25th - March 29th
Warnings: Hotel shenanigans.

After a relatively normal bus ride, you find yourself at a secluded mountain resort.



The hotel is all-inclusive, with every manner of amenities and activities (skewed toward the relaxing--with saunas and spas and hot tubs aplenty) to keep one occupied for a full five days. Time for some much needed R & R.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this!

[An Englishman in his 50s, dressed straight out of the 18th century, half-covered in blood, approaches the resort. He's on foot, and is coming out of the woods to the side instead of from the road.]

[Try going to the academy, they said. There will be healers there, they said. Well, no one managed to tell him the place is empty right now. So he started over, planning on heading back into the city, reluctant to admit to himself that he had become lost. So much for a shortcut through the woods. The directions he received were of little use when he did not know what half the words even meant. Hail a taxi? What the devil was a taxi? In any event, he finds himself on the border of the resort grounds.]

[He does not want to approach anyone and face their bewilderment and questions, but he supposes he's long overdue for directions now. He looks about to see if anyone is nearby.]

[ Haytham, meet Henry, who is not a healer by any means. But he sure does love blood, and he's pretty good at gravitating toward people who are half-covered in it.

Henry himself wasn't sure how he found himself next to this hot springs resort, but he just woke up there after a nasty club to the head. After making sure he was entirely in tact and with nothing but a very dull throbbing in his head, he, too, started wandering the premises.

But now that he's found somebody that catches his interest, Henry lights up and waves. ]

Hi! Woooow, that sure is a lot of blood you've got all over your clothes. So who did you kill? I promise I won't tell anybody~

[Haytham looks over at the odd young man, but manages not to stare impolitely. Probably just some street performer looking for coin, judging by the way he's dressed.]

Ah, this?

[He gives his own clothes a bored glance, feigning the look of someone just noticing his own condition for the first time.]

Mostly mine, I'm afraid.

[cruelcurse]

[ This sure seemed familiar. Getting hurt and not even noticing... that's something Henry's good at. In a way, he's surprised to see somebody else experiencing something he's so used to being gawked at for. ]

Yours? Ha ha, how are you not falling over by now? It looks fresh, if you ask me~ So where does it hurt, mister? What did you do to deserve THAT?

Some of it has been miraculously healed, just when I was sure I had given my last breath. I'm here to see about getting the rest patched up.

[One of his arms has been loosely drawn in against torso this whole time, the limb almost completely useless from a deep stab. The pattern of the blood indicates a more severe injury from his neck, but there's no wound to be found up there anymore.]

[As for how he deserves the wounds, he carefully dodges that question.]

So this is a fatal wound, huh? Talk about a lucky break! Sorry I'm not a healer, though. You're going to have to look inside. Maybe they've got somebody here than can help.

[ While speaking, Henry had taken to visually inspecting the man and the blood all over his clothes. He definitely took note of that strange pattern of blood that seemed to come from nowhere when it should have burst from his neck. How peculiar... Still, the arm looks like it hurts. ]

Pain's no fun. It's too bad that you had to live through that~ It looks to me like you should've been dead! ...Is there something you're not telling me? Are you a zombie~? It's alright, you can tell me! I like zombies.

[He was a bit of a sore thumb. That was the term Eirika was pretty sure had been coined. What was it, suddenly, with people of such... outlandish garb arriving at the academy? After a couple of weeks, she'd gotten accustomed to seeing such a 'modern' look that finding other people who were in likeness with her was quickly becoming a surprise. A welcomed one, at that.

With the pending investigation in mind, Eirika's cautious persona was all the more in gear. That meant keeping a closer look on people who were worthy of suspicious. Haytham fell into that, if nothing more. And she had been watching him for a few minutes at least. She'd made no move to hinder him as he seemed to merely be 'acquainting' himself, but it could have been a trap.

Seth would have been proud of his princess.

Finally, she decided to take a little compassion on him. So under the guise of merely passing him, she paused at his side.]

If you look so obvious, someone may take advantage of it.

[Haytham holds his good hand behind his back and acknowledges the unusual lady with a tip of his head. Sorry Eirika, teal blue hair was not a common sight in colonial America.]

Duly noted. I've been hoping to find some assistance, actually.

[He thinks she looks like she stands out. He's certainly not wrong. His tone catches her ears and she tries to think if she's ever heard it before. And decides... no. It sounds similar to something she's heard from Magvel, but otherwise is entirely foreign. As is the rest of him.

Eirika laces her hands together and she eyes him curiously.]

I may be able to help. Is everything all right?

[For nothing says Eirika like jumping into situations that don't involve her at all. Too eager to get into trouble, and the world is all too eager to pull her into it. But never should an innocent suffer. Whether they be of Renais or not.]
