How bittersweet.

Snow is Goose's favorite thing, but the cold it brings with it is his least favorite thing.

He wanted to say he was perfectly content, but nope, he was sitting on a nearby bench with a thick, weighted blanket draped over his person. Someone's a little chilly.

The snow is almost enough to take N away from his worries. Almost.

Ever since Mac had been landed in the hospital, his mind has been flip-flopping about with fear. He looked terrible when he saw him. What if he couldn't recover? What if the man came after him again? What if the man... went after someone else? What if? What if?

All of that 'what if' erase themselves from his mind once he sees the snowfall. Childishly giddy all of a sudden, he immediately plants himself under a tree and begins to make a snowman.

Eerily, a man with long blond hair sits by a nearby, leafless tree, his flute missing from his person, or rather, hiding in his clothing. No sweet tunes play. No beautiful sounds come. It's all... silent.

Most associate snow with silence, but Waka relates it to something completely different.

This is one of his first snowfalls since reboarding the Ark of Yamato, and this time, it is under a much sweeter atmosphere. This makes him definitely glad. While the memories of the past haunt him to this day, they didn't make him too upset. Rather, they just mellow him out a little more.

They also make him stare up at the sky, snowflakes falling on his cheeks as he remains lost in thought.

It looks kind of silly.

Something is a little different about this Smash Brother sitting on his knees in the snow. Something... quite different.

For one, he certainly looks very young for being, technically, a part of the staff. He only really looks to be a teenager, or in cat years, just a young kitten. Why is that? Who even knows. Not only that, but that tail? Completely real.

It is laying flat against the snow, tip raised slightly as he curiously swishes his now-human hand through the blanket of ice.

Sissel decides that he kind of likes this, although the human body did feel more... bare than what he's used to. This holds especially true in the cold, but it is something he can tolerate for an enjoyable rump around.

Maybe he'd even make snowcats. Ha... ha...

GAAAAASSSSSSP.

Skarmory looked outside the window to see ALL THE WHITE. What is is?? It looked so cool! And stuff from falling from the sky and adding more to it!!

Skarmory pressed his nose on the glass...Brrrr, it was cold! He quickly moved his face away and wrinkled his nose from the temperature change.

He had to know what this stuff was.

"MOMMY, MOMMY! What's that white stuff outside?"

Fox was casually strolling in the snow... when he slipped on some ice. And fell. On his bottom.

He muttered something and sighed.

There's a funny looking mound of snow on the edge of the quad. It was one GIANT mound of snow that sounded like it was snoring.

Do you care to approach?

One of the perks of being dead was being unable to feel the cold anymore. Blacky didn't have to worry about a jacket or boots, which was nice for saving money, not that she really had anything she needed to save it for.

Whatever. At least her bare feet made cute little prints in the snow.

[identity profile] blondprodigy.livejournal.com 2011-12-05 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
The first snowfall always seemed to be like a special event, one Jeff never really got to experience in a homeland that was snowy-year round. It was nice to see everyone out and about at once, though. It gave him more targets for snowballs.

[identity profile] hunter-ghor.livejournal.com 2011-12-05 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, not this stuff again! At least it didn't catch Ghor by surprise this time. That didn't stop him from melting a little path for himself wherever he went. Wouldn't it be disastrous if this huge heavy robot slipped and fell on someone? It sure would.

"Oh god, Christmas."

Of course it wasn't that time yet, but the first snowfall always meant it wasn't far behind. Frank chose to stay indoors, watching the fun and games and presumably chaos from where it was nice and warm: the windows in the hallways.

Sable had always loved snow, so when she finally noticed the snow falling from outside, she had to take a break from one of her many sewing projects right this instant. So here she was, outside with a thick jacket and a thermos filled with decaf coffee, wandering around the campus and taking in the atmosphere happily.

"It's snowing!! Wheeee!"

In a fit of excitement, Watt flew right out the door and into the cold. It was finally snowing, and that meant she could do things like make a snow fort or snow angels, after so long! But what was she going to do first?

After a little thought, she decided to build a snowman, so she went right to work, packing as much snow as she can. She was determined to make it the biggest snowman ever!

She hated the snow. She really, really hated it. But she had promised Ai that she'd come watch whatever was being made. Which was exactly why she was outside.

Arms folded tightly over her chest, Nabooru stood with a posture as rigid and straight, as though she was being reprimanded. Because apparently even after the first year, she hadn't learned not to wear Gerudo garb out in the snow.

Prideful creature, indeed. And if she wasn't careful, that pride was going to get her killed.

{{ooc: Canas is mostly only available doing what he's doing below at night. If you want to interact with him as though it is day, please specify in the comments and you can just imagine he is walking through the snow and not being ~*~magic~*~.}}

It was a strange thought, he supposed... And there wasn't nearly enough snow here for him to adequately practice such a talent... But the shaman could not help but wonder if it were possible to freeze the progression of a terrible storm. His homeland was notorious for being harshly affected by blizzards - it was accepted that there was nothing that could be done about its ferocity, and its citizens just prepared in whatever way they could.

But had anyone ever thought to battle the blizzards? With the power of magic, Canas felt it was a possibility. He felt he could do it. He had to start somewhere, though, and lighter snowfall than what he was used to would do.

Of course, it was night, so the snow was picking up drastically in comparison to the daily snowfall of FDC. But the druid felt it was the perfect conditions to practice some good ol' magic, and he had all sorts of references at his disposal. Predictably... he was mostly just standing in the cold with his nose in a book, the hood of his robes shielding the pages of the tome.

NO CANAS

Wario loved this snow. Oh yes he did. He was going to hide and pelt people with snowballs as they walked by. Or he was going to sit on a nearby bench with a giant mug of hot chocolate.

So, will your character be the victim of Wario's snowball frenzy, or will your character come up and bother Wario?

MAKE YOUR CHOICE.

Phoenix enjoyed the snow somewhat, but it reminded him of the Elise Deauxnim case he recently had to deal with. However, he tried to put that out of his mind and just enjoy the scenery, with the beautiful pine trees covered in white, and the snowflakes blanketing the area.

He still had a lot on his mind, though, with the mystery murderer still out and about. He had to find out more about the case... He had to find the killer and put a stop to this madness before more people were hurt.

So, one may find Phoenix out and about, strolling between buildings, or sitting on a bench contemplating things. He is dressed appropriately for the weather, with a scarf, jacket, boots, and earmuffs.

Byrne was neutral about the snow. He didn't like it or dislike it; it was just there. The only annoying thing was that he had to add another layer to his clothing, although it wasn't completely necessary. He could do without the jacket if he had to.

His scarf he always wore was convenient, shielding the lower half of his face from the cold.

He did have to admit that seeing the campus blanketed in snow was a beautiful sight, but he wasn't one to stop and admire.

So, if you see Byrne, he's probably on his way to do some training or whatnot. Will you approach him?

"Oh, how lovely~!" Flurrie exclaimed to no one in particular. "I do so love the first snowfall of the season!"

She was, of course, enjoying the snow from under a parasol so not to mess up her hair. Despite being basically a cloud, she was still wrapped up in a fancy coat with matching gloves and a scarf.

OPERATION: AIGLOO.

[identity profile] violetcandypop.livejournal.com 2011-12-06 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
First, Ai toed a large circle in the snow, in an area of the quad that had not yet been trampled by any feet. This is where Ai would build her igloo.

She started later in the morning, although ideally she knew she should have started earlier. The next step, after marking where she would start her walls, was to make them. Ai began by building a nice sized block of snow, and then plopping it near where the entrance would be. This was going to be a lot more difficult than the little Pikmin girl had anticipated. Building miniature igloos in Olimar's garden was a lot easier than this. But Ai didn't give up.

After an hour, Ai had managed a somewhat lopsided first row of snow blocks. A few more hours, and Ai was trying to wrap her head around how she could possibly put the final snow brick in. She climbed inside the igloo and built a final brick and lift it into place. Finally, she went back outside and sealed any cracks with extra snow. It wasn't the greatest (or most stable-looking) igloo in the world, but Ai was quite proud of herself.

Now she just had to go and find Nabooru...

Hop...hop...hop...hop...flomph

Tiny little legs are not ideal for snow travel but, like a host of non-god animals before him, Chibi has found that he can make good time by jumping through the snow rather then walking.

This is the first time that Chibi has ever seen snow. And it's the most fun he's had with weather since he got to jam with the Thunders!

And like all snow-hopping animals before him, he has to discover at least one snow bank that is way deeper then he judged it to be. He flops right into it, snow covering his little head. It only takes him a few seconds to wriggle out, on his back with snowballs clinging to his fur.

Whatever quiet is left in the cold air what with everyone playing is shattered by happy yips and excited barking. Chibi is just having the time of his life.

[identity profile] greatmousethief.livejournal.com 2011-12-06 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
Unlike Nabooru, Daroach was not fond of the heat of summer, and he appreciated the snowfall. After all, mice had natural fur coats.

He floated about the grounds, occasionally using the Tri-Star Cane to melt particularly large snowbanks. Those could be dangerous to others.

Care to approach him?

And then Skull Kid pelted Daroach with a snowball and ran away giggling. TAKE THAT, GROOVE.
