baby it's cold outside
Who: YOU
What: SNOW
When: DECEMBER 4th
Where: EVERYWHERE
Warnings: SNOW
As a quiet Sunday morning dawned on the school's campus, one could perhaps...feel it in the air. A creeping chill, a silent, barely-detectable indication that yes. Today would be the day.
Today, it would snow.
[OOC: GO CRAZY. Make threads. Have snowball fights. You guys know how this works.]

As it was, he was not the gushing sort. So, he simply padded through the snow on all fours, watching the little bundle of fun tumble and bounce about. This kid HAD to be related to Ameratsu, judging by the sunny demeanor and coat coloration. A Kid, maybe? Even though Jon had never heard of a Mr. Ameratsu unless you counted that... Waka guy.
"Oi. Little one." he yipped in fluent Wolf "You've not been in the snow before, have you?"
no subject
He wags his tail at Jon and continues. "Who are you, mister?"
no subject
"I am called Jon. What about you? I'd be right in thinking there was a connection between you and Ameratsu, yes?"
no subject
"Yeah, she's my mom...Well, she's the mother of us all, but I'm the Young Sun! I'm Chibiterasu!"
Well, it makes perfect sense to him at any rate.
no subject
"Well, young sun Chibiterasu, it's nice to meet you." he said, using a much kinder tone than most Humans would ever hear from him. Children - Pups especially - tended to bring to light more of his soft spots than he was generally comfortable sharing.
"Would you like to know how you can run on top of the snow with a little more ease?"
no subject
"Sure, that'd be great. It's kind of hard to jump around like that."
no subject
"Let me show you." he said, placing his hand deliberately down in front of Chibi. "My paws and yours are pretty different, but it works the same either way - spread your toes. Like this." He lay his hand flat. "New, fluffy snow will still make you sink a little, but if you move fast, yeah? Flat paws spread your weight better, cause the snow to sink less."
He gave a wolfish grin. "Wolves and snow go together like bears and woods, or rabbits and pasture. We've a long history of snowy hunting grounds."
no subject
"I wouldn't know about that! I've never been hunting!..except for demons, I guess." He gave a few experimental trots in a circle, trying to get the hang of this newfound way to run.
no subject
"Never been hunting? How old are you? You look old enough to at least be brought injured, weaker game. Though if you're already hunting demons, then maybe hobbled rabbits and rats are behind your capabilities."
He sat up a little straighter in the snow, watching the smaller wolf test the movements out. "The more you practise, the more natural it will feel. Eventually, you'll be able to run as fast as you please, even over fresh or slushy snow."
