What: HOT SPRINGS: HOTEL EDITION
Where: The hot springs RESORT.
When: March 25th - March 29th
Warnings: Hotel shenanigans.

After a relatively normal bus ride, you find yourself at a secluded mountain resort.



The hotel is all-inclusive, with every manner of amenities and activities (skewed toward the relaxing--with saunas and spas and hot tubs aplenty) to keep one occupied for a full five days. Time for some much needed R & R.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this!

"Oh, this?" She brought her hands to herself. "It belongs to Celes," she replied, smiling what was meant to be a calm smile but had the bearings to break giddy at any moment. If her zeal wasn't present in her smile, then it was certainly discernible through the added buoyancy to her voice. "She let me borrow it for the time being. What do you think?"

Chili squinted. Just barely.

"I still think blue accents look better on you, when it comes down to it," he said. He tried to sound dismissive about it when he spoke, but it didn't show through very well. "Can't you wear your clothes? Why do you have to borrow hers?"

Come to think of it, why didn't she? Shrugging, she settled with, "It didn't feel right somehow. Additionally, don't you think red and blue complement each other?"

"Sure, yeah they do, I guess," he replied, idly pushing his straw around in his soda. "I just don't get why you have to wear a dress just because you're suddenly a girl. What's the big change for?"

"If I'm going to be a girl, I might as well have fun with it," was her dismissive reply. It made her somewhat uncomfortable to delve into the topic of Celes with the way Chili was acting about it. She could tell he wouldn't approve of their relationship, didn't approve of their relationship, and she already sensed that he knew something was up. Nonetheless, no words had ever passed between them on her new girlfriend. If she could help it, she would prefer to duck out of this argument for the time being. She was never in the mood for it.

She twirled a finger around a long, blue lock, discovering how much fun it was to play with hair that flowed down to her back. "Besides, wearing my own clothes didn't feel right at the time."

While she thought, Chili watched her out from the corner of his eye expectantly. Like he knew something they were both mutually aware of. She was right, in that: he suspected something wasn't being said between the two, and he didn't like it that Cress was avoiding his watchful eye.

"You mean when you turned into a girl, right?" he asked, both content with and annoyed at the path their conversation took. "So I guess you were with Celes again, huh?" He kept his eyes trained on hers.

She emptied a long sigh, the kind that makes your shoulders sag. "Of course I meant when I turned into a girl. And yes, Cress had been with Celes at the time." The tone of voice she carried those words on continued to be casual and dismissive, conveying that there was little importance to the matter. Which, of course, there wasn't.

In a way, he hoped that didn't mean that Celes would be found wearing Cress's clothes, but he didn't really want to ask. Cress sure was hanging out with Celes a lot... He quirked an eyebrow, but then reached down to eat something off his plate. Perfect coping mechanism.

"You sure are spending a lot of time with her."

She frowned, her eye taking on that solid defensive glint that silently demanded he back off. "Yes? Is there a problem? We get along."

"Just saying," Chili said through a mouthful of food.

Something else occurred to him, and he wondered about it. "Does that mean that Celes..." He couldn't figure out how to finish the sentence, because it was still too weird that Cress had turned into a girl somehow. How could he ask about Celes turning into a boy? "You know."

[makesyouwet]

"No, I can't say I know. What are you getting at?" A hint of annoyance pushed her tone. The siblings' assumptions about what each other meant were going different directions.

[makesithot]

"Wow, I was just asking if she... If she's now a 'he', the way you're a 'she'!" exclaimed Chili, taking note of the irritation in her tone. "That's all!"

[makesyouwet]

"You weren't being very clear," she argued. "To answer your question, yes. We both suffered the same curse. She is now male." Cress was tempted to add how she managed to transition so handsomely, but that would only fuel his suspicion and irritation.

[makesithot]

"Are you sure did you check his pants," suspected Chili suspiciously, squinting at his suspicious sibling.

"Oh," replied Chili simply. He took a drink of soda.

[makesyouwet]

"More than just check it was a thorough inspection."

Cress had nothing more to add to this conversation and let a pause hang between them uncomfortably, acting as though the silence did not bother her in the slightest as she impassively reached for her own drink and took a long sip.

This strain eventually broke down as they began poking at other topics, like how a class was panning out, bringing up radical stories, updating each other on their Pokemon. It was a welcome relief to speak to one another like they always had, casting aside all mention of Celes and of being a girl. Afterwards, once their plates were clean and their glasses dry, they returned to their rooms for bed.
