After a relatively normal bus ride, you find yourself at a secluded mountain resort.

Muwahaha would have been her evil chortle, had she known she was exploiting anything. Instead she smiled again, pleased that he was finally smiling a little bit on his own.

"You really are pretty under the weather, huh...?" It was the only explanation that Green Oak would be underselling himself so much. It was pretty surreal. "If you're that worried about it, you can just make it up to me later or something."

She dipped her head against his shoulder for a moment as she continued, "But accepting the bad parts is what being close to people is all about. It makes the good parts even better. I bet there's a ton of stuff I do that peeves you off, haha."

Maybe he was? He did feel just as sick as he did this morning, which usually meant he was in the middle of it. But then, there was just a really strong need to make it up to her... before he had gone cupid gaga over Bulba that day, he had come to some pretty strong revelations about the girl in front of him.

But was he going to acknowledge that? No. Definitely not!

"Well... Maybe a few things..." he responded, dryly.

She chuckled anyway, sitting back up to settle back into her own seat. "There, I knew it."

"Ah, though... if there's anything that really sets you off, you better tell me, ok?" Blue gave him a stern look as she said it and wagged a finger at him. "Don't go getting mad at me anymore for things I don't know."

He let out a short puff of a laugh, studying her "serious" face for a moment before offering his hand for a brisk handshake.

"Deal."

Hey it was totally serious, ok. Though it didn't last as long as it could have one she slipped her hand in his and gave a firm shake.

"Pleasure doing business, then."

"In that case," He said, rising to his feet, and smoothing out his jacket.

"Allow me to make it up to you. I attacked the buffet earlier with, uh." He let the sentence trail off. With Red.

"We should check it out. I know it's free, but we can pretend like it's my treat."

With.... with a mystery. It could have been anyone, but with that sort of reluctance to say, Blue was able to hazard her own guesses. If she was right, then that was good. That was good indeed.

"Oh my," she laughed, following his lead. "How romantic."

Wink.

Hahahahahha. Good.

Green coughed but tried to mask it behind his whole being sick thing. Dammit. Shit and damnation.

"Yeah, yeah." He managed to say. How annoying, Blue. Making a joke about romance. Yeah right. You wish. Etcetera.

"As long as I can get some freakin' tea. I sound like a lifetime smoker over here."

Didn't it suck to have an oblivious love interest, Green. Didn't it. Didn't it.

She chuckled again, but this time her expression softened and she gently gave him a pat on the back. "Yeah, you kind of do. Let's get you a bunch of that honey tea, stat."

Blue skipped ahead a bit, turning and pausing to wait for him to follow.

He pounded the side of his fist a couple times against his chest in an attempt to clear up some congestion, and took a couple of longer strides to catch up with her.

Lucky for them, it was really nice out that afternoon. Even breathing in the fresh mountain air did wonders for his lungs. He spoke as loud as he could manage.

"What're you gonna get to eat? I'm thinkin' barbeque. And rice."

Now that he was at her side, she stuck close and sort of leaned in to hear him so he wouldn't have to strain his voice too much.

She was tempted to say that barbeque didn't really seem like the prime sort of food he should have been eating, but she held her tongue. Trying to make the best of his vacation despite everything was good! Thoughts of BBQ on the brain, Blue had to take a moment to think about it as they walked.

"Hmm... I'm not sure! I think I want to see if they switch things around from day to day. Maybe there's something new! It'd be neat if there was something I hadn't had before."

Definitely not. A soup would be a lot better of an idea, but what the stomach wants, the stomach wants. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, and put a thoughtful face on.

"Wouldn't it be weird if they had food from back home? I've kind if been missing it..."

She wasn't quite as overbearingly motherly as some people that she was going to correct him on his choices over dinner. But maybe she'd encourage something a bit better once they were there.

"Weird, yes, but it'd be a nice surprise... Gosh, what would they even serve though? I've kind of been craving some buns from Fuschia..." Blue laid a hand on her bare belly as if it was about to start grumbling any moment with nostalgic desire.

Green looked up at the sky as he walked, grin steady on his face.

"Like, even from any region. Can you imagine a few good Lava Cookies right now? Ugh. That sounds almost illegally good."

Blue threw her hands up and waved them wildly in Green's face.

"No don't even mention those. It is completely illegal to mention those if you can't hand one over!"

Green laughed, giving her a good natured shove on the shoulder.

"Who knows, you might get lucky. We don't know what kinda cooks they've got in the kitchen."

She lightly punched him back, though it was more accurately described as a tap.

"What if you're filling my head with unreasonable hopes and dreams. Why would you do that. How could you be so cruel."

"Life is full of disappointment," Green responded cheerfully with a shrug, "Better to just get used to it."

But then. They were at the buffet. Green walked ahead of her to hold open the door, shooting Blue a devious look.

"After you, Bluebell."

They did it. They made it without a scuffle.

Except then he opened the door and she punched him in the side a little bit. Again with the name. He really did like to bust that out at the most random of times, didn't he? She never knew if he was mocking her or not when it happened, and this was no exception. Blue pushed past him with a sardonic, "Thank you," a strange rosy color creeping up her cheeks that she didn't even notice.

Mostly because holy shit Buffet. It was full of glistening meats and honeyed everything.

Blue stopped dead and pointed at the far end of the table.

"Is that... ???"

Green rubbed his side as he walked into the building, all prepared to shoot a snide comment her way...

But then it was his turn to be surprised. His mouth hung open.

"Oh, no fuckin' way!!"

He grabbed Blue by the hand and dragged her over to the table. Right over to a big ol' basket of Lava Cookies.

"Holy shit."

She was willing dragged. The whole time she was making a quiet, "aaaaaa" sound that was gradually increasing in volume the closer they got to that mystical and fantastical basket.

"Aaaaaaaahhh!!"

She stared them. She held on to Green's hand real tight.

Suddenly she turned to look up at him.

"I am. Going to eat all of these."

WOW, that was cute. Like super cute. It almost caught Green off guard, but he masked it by giving her a playfully stern look, with a squeeze of the hand in return.

"Hey! You're not gonna leave one for me?"

She stared at him very intensely for a moment, and the answer very well could have been no. Instead she looked back at the basket and tapped her chin with her free hand.

"What if we just took the whole basket...?"

"... I like the way you think, lady. You don't think we'll get in trouble?"

"Maybe. You should probably grab your tea first just in case."
