On the chalkboard was scrawled the message "I will be five minutes late. You are to remain here. If you leave during that time, you will be given a failing grade for the day."

It was the first time Cyrus had written anything on the board since his employment there, and Weavile sat on the desk to ensure that he would know about anyone who fled.

At 1:04 and 54 seconds, Cyrus walked in and began speaking immediately. There was a smudge of what looked like oil on the side of his face, almost back to his hairline, but he didn't seem to notice it. "Last week I asked you to ponder the factors that produce tyranny, as well as how to alter those factors. I trust you all have come to your conclusions."

It wasn't often that he spoke so briefly. Even his journal entries, even his comments were longer than that. But he stared at the students, expecting them to speak.

Remembuh me? The roomie log turned out to be a success, and a lot of really awesome interactions took place. Because of this, I've decided it was about time to post round two. The name has been changed a little because I think it reflects the premise slightly better.

Basically, here's what this is: we all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good portal for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR and the like. Some examples can be seen in the link I provided if you fight through the buttload of comments in case I'm sort of unclear.

So how do we start? It's up to you, really. Don't have any plans with anyone else but want your character bugged? Start a thread. It helps to staple dates and times, but you can keep that completely ambiguous if you really don't care/it doesn't matter. So disembark and wreak havoc amongst yourselves! Set up karaoke and sing loudly to further improve relations with dorm neighbors! Jack cylindrical fluorescent light bulbs from the supply closet and fight like Jedi Masters! Build couch forts with other people's laundry! (...ew?) Hold a "study session" with that special someone of yours! Harass teachers and students alike with your inane questions! What bountiful possibilities await you.

For the next few days, everything was a blur for the both of them. Sasha felt sick to her stomach from everything, being unusually quiet apart from the small talks to the people online. But she was afraid no one would ever want to talk to her again after what happened. Guilty didn't even begin to scratch how she felt, especially after fights broke out in school that seemed to imply her attack was the catalyst. It felt terrible.

Most of her days, she spent watching the IV needles run down and drip, looking over at Vinnie but moving her head away before he could look at her and trying to replay the scenario and see what she could have done otherwise.

She could try to learn from this.

On the other hand, Vinnie had no regrets about his own actions. He was convinced that if he'd personally done anything different, pulled any punches, the results of that day would've been much, much worse. Inevitable as it was, it was the consequences that followed which weighed on him, as much as he tried not to show it.

His sister was tearing herself apart. His trainer was disgraced and his family worried sick. And he had disappointed anyone who might've been his friends. Somehow, he had to make it better. In comparison, his own grief felt irrelevant. Maybe even selfish.

It was probably why he was spending more and more time in his human form, even if it kept opening up his wounds. That way, he wouldn't have to be reminded of what he'd lost in Volgin's mutilation. Two leaves, amputated. It was enough to cripple him as a Venusaur.

Vinnie wanted out of this bed. To stop feeling nauseous and weak and get back into action as soon as possible. Maybe then he'd feel less helpless against everything.

HERE'S WHAT'S GOING DOWN: I am well aware some of you have characters who had signed up for this and are on hiatus for certain and good reasons. So, I'm setting up this "class" log now for those who would like to start but I'm going to make it so that alongside simple intros and reactions, everything is and can be at your own speed. Meaning, the actual spars themselves are going to be your own threads and you guys involved can set them however you'd like whenever you'd like. If you want to set up a spar thread with a certain character who's on hiatus, it would be a good idea to talk to the other character's mun about it. Even though in the log Mac says it's all randomized, all of this if your guys' call. Mac will be observing and giving advice to the characters and I can say right now I really don't mind any speed you guys go. Characters can also even spectate as they observe. Well, she had promised Spinny to show her Red one day, right? Sasha was actually rather unsure at how to do it. She found first impressions were always the best ones, and she really wanted Red and Spinny to get along. Snow had begun to fall gently, and the smoke rising from her nostrils and flaming tail whenever a tiny speck of water touched it flew away in wisps of white as they flew over the campus. Despite the cold weather, Sasha was feeling rather warm, the new neckscarf (XXXL, made for Charizards) and the sweater probably didn't make her look completely dignified, but hey, it made the entire experience more fun. And warm.

The snow crunched under Nephenee's feet as she came to stand in front of the school. It had been a long journey, but finally she'd made it here, to this place that taught one how to fight and become stronger. It was so much bigger than she'd imagined, bigger than some of the buildings in Begnion even; how was she going to find her way around here? The sentinel shifted uncomfortably in her armor. Though glad she had worn her longer leg covers today, this armor wasn't suited to the cold, and her lance and shield felt like it might freeze to her hands. Clearly she hadn't figured on it being so cold when she arrived here.

She slung the shield over her back, walking now. Maybe if she looked around, she could find someone to help her?

You heard the "what"! It's a roomie log! What does this mean for our dudes? It's a good way to build CR between characters who are meant to interact on a daily basis, but somehow you never really get the chance to stick them together otherwise, in logs or commentspam or whatever! Here is a good chance.

Before you start a thread, I'd suggest getting the okay from the other character's mun just in case. Basically, just add a thread with the room number (and date/time, if it matters) and take it where you will! Go crazy, do whatever. Story swapping. Bed jumping. Nail painting. Slug wars in sleeping bags. ~It can be yours, my friend, as long as you make a thread.~

Don't just limit yourself to one thread, either. If it so appeases you, you could hold a thread with more than just two characters (Man cave in BE-01), or if that one thread between your two dudes wasn't enough, make another one for a different time. Have fun, guys! Get ready to bug your roommates and next-door neighbors. BLOCK PARTY BLOCK PARTY and then the RAs kicked everyone out.

[If you look down on the mountain top today, you may notice six figures arriving to the sound of this music. It is Sasha holding a boombox. Uh no okay. There is no special music. Their footsteps get faster as the climb up and try to push Sonny up there, more and more excited as their eyes start to gleam at the sight of the school before them. Their hearts beat faster.
