a pokemon battle! ... without any trainers?

Who: Ampere / Pikachu, Spinarak
What: BATTORU. Smash Fundamentals battoru.
Where: STADIUM.
When: FRIDAY. October 29th.
Warnings: FIGHTINH. And that's it.

This class. THIS CLASS.

Amp didn't even remember whether or not she'd even enrolled. She kind of spaced out when it came to... a lot of things. Remembering certain things wasn't exactly her strong suit. Either way, the class entailed sparring for grading, so she just had to get herself into it. Granted, she didn't know if this one would count for grades if she wasn't yet enrolled (if and only if), but she didn't really care. In the end, a battle was a battle, and when it came to battling, she did it for fun. Purely for the adrenaline rush.

This was what this felt like. Hopefully her opponent would be of just as good of spirits. If not, well... that may be a little disappointing, but Amp would surely try her best to get her fellow fighter as invigorated as she is! That's what she did best... maybe!

So here she was in the Stadium, running around and looking all over the place while waiting for Spinarak. She wasn't quite the type to sit around and do nothing while waiting either.

Spinarak was actually a student in this class. She wasn't sure if she was ready for this. She kind of knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but she didn't expect the sparring session to come so soon...her heart wasn't ready. Would she able to take a punch?

She arrived at the Stadium just before the time they were supposed to start. Spinaraks weren't that quick with their feet. She could feel her legs shake a bit from being so nervous and scared. She did manage to give a wave to the other, though.

"...Hello."

... This was the challenger? Someone looking so- so unhappy? To Amp, this posed to be a bit upsetting, but it only meant one thing: she needed to try harder to get the juices flowing on both sides. That meant RADIATING POSITIVE ENERGY.

"Chuuuuu, hi there!" She greeted as a few tiny sparks flew from her cheeks. "Are you ready to go?! Do you want me to change the stage to something a little better, chu?"

Spinarak gave a slow nod. She had no clue how to operate that thing to make different stages pop up...! While the other got the stage ready, she decided she would probably be at ease more if she were in her Pokemon form. She poofed into her spider form and moved her six legs around for a little warm up.

The stage changed. (http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/stages/stage22.html) It shifted as if it was just a holographic change, but the transformation was oh-so-very-real. The foliage, the vines, the bark, the pellet posies, the water... everything was real. Even that REALLY HUNGRY BULBORB over there oh god. Good thing that would only take away one of their 'lives'. Amp decided to set this little ol' lives counter to '3'. Three chances for each.

She came back, shuffling over in her Pikachu form. "We'll go on the count of three! Are you ready?!"

Was she really ready? No, she was probably never going to be ready at this rate, but the stage was already set--the forest stage made things better than before--and the opponent had turned into her 'serious' mode...maybe. Spinarak gave a small nod as she got ready to ~~run away~~ try and step forward to put up some sort of fight as best as she could.

"Alright, alright! Let's go for it! On the count of three!" Amp repeated, getting into a battle ready position.. "Three... twooooo!

Oneeeee!

Go!"

She immediately charged forward, using a weak, but fast Quick Attack on her new opponent. She was going right for that Spinarak. She was more than ready.

OH NO before she could say "fiddlesticks" the attack connected and Spinarak found herself getting pushed away. She staggered to a stop before she was thrown off the stage so soon. Whew. She couldn't just sit around and think forever if she wanted to at least give some damage to the other. But against an opponent with such a quick feet...? The first thing she could think of was to spin out her web.

String shot!

She sprayed out numerous strands of web around, creating some obstacles and prevent the yellow rodent from being so fast.

"Pi!" Webbing everywhere! This was familiar to her. Some of the bugs in Viridian Forest knew this move, too. She just hadn't quite expected it from Spinarak. It was no matter, though. Being a bit slow might be an issue, but Amp just needed to find a way around it.

She had an idea. She felt her fur gain static as she charged forward again, this time slower as a combination of the attack and the sticky webbing, but still with power. Volt Tackle, the Pikachu line's signature move was coming right her way.

The presence of the web made her more at ease, but the Pikachu's next attack was a little too scary to handle. Rather than getting hit by it, Spinarak decided it would be best to avoid it at all costs. She used one of her webbing to quickly jump to the smaller platform above, although she got pushed away by the strong gust of wind after the opponent ran past by. But avoiding the attack was a success, even if it was a bit clumsy one! She took this opportunity to shoot out some poison darts from her little stinger on her head.

Poison Sting!

The attack itself didn't do much, but she hoped she could at least get some health down of the opponent at the least.

Amp didn't take much damage from the Poison Sting, but it did clock a hit. At first, Amp felt fine, as if it wasn't a bit deal. She was used to Poison Stings from Weedles in Viridian, as well.

She poised herself for another attack. It was only then that she felt her stomach gurgle and received a sharp pain for a minute. She knew that feeling, too- poisoning. She'd been poisoned. The attack didn't do much damage-wise now, but it would in the long run. Good thing the locker room probably had antidotes, so she wouldn't have to run to the Pokemon Center after the fight.

The fight was present time, though. She needed to focus, and that meant trying to return the favor. This attack wasn't very damaging either, but maybe it'd still be good enough.

She stayed where she stood and unleashed her best Thundershock.

Spinny had no clue if her plan worked, but only time would tell. For now, she needed to try and get as much hits in as possible... At least the hit landed, though! That hit alone was enough for the spider to lose her concentration on avoiding the attack.

BAM!! The Thundershock hit. She did her best to not to keep her ground so she could go for a counter attack, but when she tried to move, a jolt of numb pain went throughout her body, stunned.

This got a lot more difficult for her to just move around.

Amp froze in her spot herself, her fur bristling as another harsh pain overcame her insides. The poisoning was nasty, that was for sure. It was no Toxic attack, but it was enough to get her in a bit of an issue. This would surely hinder her. She needed something, anything...

She then found salvation in the form of a Pellet Posy appearing near... a tall, red thing? What was that all about? She didn't even know what a Pellet Posy was, either, so she got confused. Confused and distracted, but thankfully not unnecessarily.

She ran up to it and pawed the thing, which shoved it underneath the light of the Onion. It got sucked up, and instead of a Pellet Posy, out came a Super Mushroom.

It was also moving away from Amp. OH GOD she scrambled to get it, but the poisoning was hindering her. Would Spinarak be able to get it before her?

The paralysis wasn't making it easier for her to move around. The web was already disappearing from the attacks they threw at each other as well. ~~If only she trained a little more to learn Spider Web!~~ She tried to make her way towards the Super Mushroom but then something appeared in midair and landed on her head... A ...nut (http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/Deku_Nut)? If she only reviewed her notes before coming to class...

Not knowing what it did, Spinarak decided to rely on her luck and threw it at Amp's direction, hoping it would land a hit.

That worked. With a bright flash, the Deku Nut made an impact right next to Amp, causing her to fly backwards with surprise. "Pikaaaaaaa!" She then spun and landed right on her stomach. Her ears drooped. She was pretty shocked and stunned for a while.

She was down for a while. Would Spinarak be able to take advantage, or would the paralysis just hinder her further? That Super Mushroom was still going around, as well, but it probably wouldn't stay for long.

Yes! The hit landed! Spinarak couldn't give up this opportunity! She did her best to scramble over to the Super Mushroom, only to trip over her own six legs as the paralysis did their work. She slid a bit from the momentum, but the paralysis didn't let her move another inch for that brief moment.
