26th-Aug-2015 08:24 pm - Beach log!
Who: Anyone who's a cool dude (EVERYONE)
What: BEACH LOG
Where: AT THE BEACH
When: Last week before school
Warnings: Rising ocean levels and potential shenanigans

Nothing like one last hurrah before summer's over and you have to go back to school, right? Even if the water level's pretty high right now, it's-- what do you mean this is low tide? Really?

Well, at least there's still a sliver of sand left to chill out on, make sandcastles, have evening bonfires, and maybe you can even squeeze in a game of dead or alive beach volleyball. The sun's bright and warm and there's a refreshing sea breeze washing over the coast. Just be careful in the water and have a good time.

18th-Aug-2015 06:27 pm - This here is Mona Pizza!
WHO: Mona and Pit
WHAT: Pit's first day as a delivery boy! Mona's gonna show him some tips. Heheh.
WHERE: Mona's new pizza place that just opened up and beyond- wherever cries for pizza can be heard.
WHEN: Let's go with 8/18!
WHY WARNINGS: Uhhhhhunruly customers, maybe? Weirdos? Delivery driving is full of surprises!

Out of all the jobs Pit was offered by his friends, delivering pizza door to door seemed the most rewarding, if rewarding meant fun and compelling. As far as earning money went, he could probably stand to aim higher (or pray for excellent tips). But he didn't care. He planned on taking up multiple gigs anyway.

And besides! Mona seemed ultra cool. He couldn't wait to team up with her on his first job. Today was the day, so he sprung out of bed bright and early, at least two hours before he even needed to. The hour was finally here. Pit stood in front of the brand spanking new building and was overtaken with excitement.

"Oh man. This is gonna be great!"

He hustled inside, quick to make his presence known with a spirited fist pump. "I made it! And I'm ready to make some dough! Pizza dough, that is."
9th-Aug-2015 08:27 pm - Diamond City is MY city!
Who: Mona & Daisy
What: Fun! Relaxation! Video Games! Stealing Wario's car! And of course a run in with Pizza Dinosaur too.
Where: The busting town of Diamond City, located on the beautiful island of who knows in the Super Mario universe somewhere.
When: Weekend of August 8th and 9th
Warnings: Lots of bizarre shenanigans are bound to happen. Tread carefully my friends.
Music:  HURRY UP!

Diamond City. The tropical island hometown of Mona. A busy, bustling city where humans, animal people, and all manner of life forms co-existed happily with one another. A city that sometimes never slept and never for a second held a dull moment. A lively downtown proved fruitful of entertainment with everything from football games to energetic nightclubs that stayed open to the wee hours of the morning. If the busyness of the heart proved too intimidating, one could find themselves on the calmer outskirts of the town where farm fields rolled out amongst the expanding landscape.

Traveling deeper into the island gave way to forests and thick jungles hiding ancient temples awaiting to be discovered and it's treasures plundered. If none of the scenes tickled one's fancy, a leisurely day along Diamond City's beaches were an ideal scene to kick back and catch the rays. And a sunburn if not careful. For further relaxation there was always Tomorrow Hill, where one could see what the events of tomorrow would bring. A freaky anomaly caused by timezones? No one really knows.

By standing out on the docks near the lighthouse, a person could gaze out upon the vast ocean towards the intriguing lab of the Crygors mounted on a small speck of an island. And if one's eyes ventured up to the sky above, a pig-like spaceship could sometimes be seen weaving in and out of clouds. A UFO? Is real? Oh yeah, you bet. As real as the yellow Taxi flying through the air.

You might also want to watch where you step carefully while indulging in Diamond City. Little, elusive creatures known as Fronks tended to skirt around like cockroaches looking for a bit of fun to cause. Catch them if you can, rumor has it around town that Fronks make very good pets!

Despite the hustle and bustle, the variety of life and archeological finds to be had, Diamond City was known famously for it's exports in video games. Made in house at the booming company known as Wario Ware, Inc. located on a mountain, the business proves to be a top contender to video game rivals such as the likes of Diamond City Software and Nintendo.

Along with detailing her home town to friends over the course of her stay at Smash Academy, a sort of melancholy of homesickness had proceeded to ail Mona in the past weeks. All of these sights and more were the soul reason Mona felt compelled to return home for a visit before the school year started anew. Before heading back to the books, the red head wanted nothing more than to bring her new friends from the academy for one last final hurrah of summer in her hometown. Show them all her city had to offer and more.

Of course as said, there was never a dull moment in Diamond City, not even while on a small visit.

Who: Cyrus and YOU!
What: Moon viewing!
Where: School rooftop
When: Did you know last weekend was a blue moon? Last weekend, the end of July.

Impromptu signs had gone up around the school, seemingly out of nowhere. If anybody saw them go up, they might see a black and red ferretlike creature pinning them up in a flash.

Moon viewing party! How fun!

Of course the fliers left out that it was being facilitated by Cyrus but still, fun! If he could be avoided. Which was unlikely.

But looking at the night sky would be nice. And he didn't specifically ban snacks or whatever...

27th-Jul-2015 09:43 pm - over the river and through the woods
Who: Bug chasers
What: Following the butterflies mothflies.
Where: The illustrious woods near the Academy
When: July 27th.
Rating: General mysteries and shenanigans.

The moths were still there. They hadn't gone anywhere.

Except, actually, they had. All at once, they moved. The ones fluttering around mischevious children, the ones evading bug nuts, the ones swarming every source of light, it was all of them. Their dusty wings sent them all heading in a particular direction, almost beckoning people to follow their sudden migration.

Which they were, quite frankly.

If the sense of curiosity got feet moving, then such inquiring feet were led to the edge of the forest where a stream of moths were pouring and weaving into the trees.

WELL. Gosh. What to do about that.

23rd-Jul-2015 07:46 pm - Snooping as usual I see
Who: Mona and YOU! Anyone is welcome.
What: Interrogating FDC citizens about the earthquake.
Where: Various locations within Final Destination City, starting at the cafe onwards.
When: Entire day of July 23rd.
Warnings: Probably none.

Who knows the city like the back of their hand better than the people living in it! )

Who: EVERYBODY IT'S A LAKE PARTY
What: Clean-up! Chao rescue service! Other stuff! Open log!
Where: The lake
When: March 9-15
Warnings: Let's hope the lake Gyarados isn't pissed off about the spaceship that landed in its house...

Just as she said, Melia was at the shore of the lake in the early afternoon, already directing her bodyguards around the scattered, remaining pieces of the Egg Carrier littering the ground. What she really wanted to do, though, was find those Chao. It was a bit selfish of her, she thought, to be more concerned about finding the cute critters than cleaning up the lake, but she did have a good reason. She had to make sure they were all right in the aftermath.

And she wanted to pet one. Or all of them.

((This is a catch-all 'do stuff at the lake' log! Go nuts!))
birdlady: (map - And in the golden blue)
Who: EVERYONE
What: CUPID BOTS ARE BACK TO CAUSE POOR LIFE CHOICES
Where: EVERYWHERE
When: All day February 14th
Warnings: V for VALENTINES LUST. This may get steamy.

Like a plague of Egypt, the swarm returned, as they always had, as they always would. The Cupid Bots were back. The tiny mechanical cherubs whose microchipped arrows caused often unwanted attraction towards the first person you saw, whose very presence caused such pain, misery, and wonderful tragedy to everyone they encountered. They were ever searching. Ever hunting.

They would find you.

And make you make a fool of yourself.

((As always, attraction lasts for 24 hours and will wear off on the 15th. If you didn't sign up for random or make plans in advance, feel free to jump in and do your own thing anyway! Have fun, and let the misery commence!))
