Who: Errybody
What: HOT SPRINGS: HOT SPRINGS EDITION
Where: Hot springs. Different hot springs. Not the hot springs that turned everyone into six year olds.
When: March 25th - March 29th
Warnings: Cursed springs. Sex swapping.

Right outside the resort is the main attraction, a collection of natural hot springs, separated by gender with a co-ed spring in the middle. Despite it being late March, there's still a dusting of snow on the ground, making the warm springs all the more inviting.

If the main resort area is too crowded for you, there are whispers of a secluded, private spring down a secret path. It's supposed to be very nice--if you can find it.

25th: Jolt was so stoked to get into those hot springs that he failed to read up on the curses. Or maybe it was because he was new to the whole "life at Smash Academy is nothing but misery and body horror" thing. Woe be to the one with him when he got himself cursed.

26th: Jolt was going to TRY not to let the curse ruin her vacation. She still wanted to enjoy the springs... she was just going to be very careful about it now.

That smaller hot spring off that small pathway really was much nicer than the large, crowded ones by the resort. Surrounded by forest, serene, and much more private - what wasn't there to like.

Well, except there was someone already in the pool. A familiar someone, up to their neck and relaxing with his(?) eyes closed...

Jolt thought it might be fun to check out that secluded spring, and, clad in a towel around his waist, headed out to take a look. He didn't expect to see someone there already, but when he realized who it was, he didn't mind.

"Vinnie!" he called out. "Didn't expect you here!"

Vinnie was roused from his relaxed stupor, and he raised his head to peer up at Jolt. Did the Venusaur look slightly different? Well, it was probably just 'cause he shaved this morning or something. Yes.

"Eh, it was too crowded back there," he shrugged. "Bein' out in the forest suits me better."

"Fair 'nough," Jolt replied. "So how's the water?" he asked. He hadn't noticed anything different yet... And if he had, he would have chalked it up to the heat, or the effects of being relaxed in the bath.

To be fair, Vinnie hadn't noticed either.

"You find out for yourself." The Venusaur moved over to give Jolt some room to get in the hot spring at the edge of the pool he was closest to.

Vinnie had entered the pool wearing only a pair of swimming trunks. He stood up with some... surprising additions to his chest.

Jolt froze in his tracks.

He stared.

And stared.

"Vinnie, why do you have boobs?" he asked.

Vinnie was incredulous as he snapped back, "What? I don't have--"

But he looked down

and he did have.

There was a moment of silence as the information sunk in. Everything was still.

Then Vinnie kicked the water in a fit of exasperation and groaned, "Aw fuckin' hell!"

"Yeah, those sure are boobs," Jolt added helpfully. "The hell happened to you?" he asked, trying not to stare.

How'd that saying go again? Misery loves company. That was it. Probably the most fitting phrase for the moment. Someone who couldn't go in the springs, someone who could but didn't especially want to, and someone who had picked the wrong spring entirely: truly a trio that belonged together.

At the moment, Char was about knee-deep in the spring, going through the gradual process of coaxing himself into the water. It... wasn't so bad, really, just weird to think it was possible for water to be too hot. (Which part of that phrase was even the most gross? The "water" or the "too hot?")

"Y'know, Jolt, if it makes you feel better, it ain't like you're the only one on the team who's been stuck bein' the wrong gender."

"It actually doesn't make me feel any better, but thanks anyway," Jolt grumbled, face in her palm. She certainly didn't enjoy this situation any. At least she was somewhat getting used to it, but from past experience she knew this would be temporary. Just had to endure it for a while. A towel was wrapped tightly around her as she sat in the water, careful to keep the charge on low to avoid frying anyone who got in.

"And let me just say, hearing your speech coming out of Bulba's mouth is all kinds of unsettling," she added.

"Yeah, tell me about it," piped the lone voice outside of the spring.

The Char that was not really Char was sitting a ways away on some rocks. He felt good about sitting on rocks. Rocks, as he knew well enough already, did not burn. He just had to glance behind him every bit or so to make sure that tail of his was actually behaving the way he wanted it to.

He kind of just wanted to push himself (the real self) down into the water he was already attempting to stand in, but no. Baby steps. This needed baby steps. He was doing such a good job.

"What?" Char asked, beginning the faltering, tenuous advance to waist depth. A moment of wobble as he tried to raise the tail that actually did not have away from the water. This was clearly going to be a very long, clumsy week if this phantom limb stuff was gonna keep happening. "Ain't nothing weird about the way I talk."

...Oh. Well, okay, yeah. Maybe that was a little out of place coming from Bulba. Just slightly. "Anyway, ain't like there's no upside to this stuff," he pointed out, making a brave attempt at trying to find a silver lining. "I can actually spend a hot springs trip in some friggin' hot springs, Bulba can fly--" Char shot him a quick, exasperated look, tacking on an unspoken if he'd quit actin' like my body's a fragile snowflake and actually give it a shot, "--and you, uh..."

Ah. Hmm. Give him a second. It was a bit trickier to brainstorm than usual with that grating-ass buzzing in his head. Stupid flower-magic bullshit. "You could... always go act out some girl-on-girl fantasies?"

Jolt narrowed her eyes, arm holding the towel tightening a bit at that suggestion. "You can NOT be serious," she replied. This situation was already weird enough without Char putting those kinds of thoughts into her head.

Char had gotten a look right back from his own body, but it didn't last for long before Bulba was looking away and flusteredly holding his chin in his hand. The prospect of jumping off a roof as had been kindly suggested before was not one that appealed to him. He already knew his deep instinct in that situation was to reach out with vines that were no longer there, not flap the wings that had taken their place.

But enough about that, it was all about Jolt making out with ladies. Bulba couldn't stop himself from letting out an amused snort, and with it came a small tendril of smoke. Ah. Maybe that wasn't supposed to happen.

"Why not?" Char shrugged, continuing to gradually ease himself over to that spot by Jolt over there. "Ain't like turnin' into a girl means you stop likin' 'em, right? If opportunity knocks, you don't tell it to come back in a week, you tell it to get its sweet ass on in here."

A moment's thought. "Might be kinda meta if you pick someone else who's usually a dude, though. I'll give you that."

"I think I'm gonna be just fine not making out with anyone until this crap is over with," Jolt replied.

"And here's a thought. Are you a vegetarian in Bulba's body?" he asked, trying to divert attention from him.

So maybe the steam would help with his congestion, a little. Green wore a t-shirt and shorts as he ventured into the hot springs area, fully intending to turn on his heel and leave if he couldn't find anyone to keep him company.

Lucky for Jolt, he was exactly what Green was looking for.

"Jolt!" he called out, his pace brisker. "Hey pal, where you been?"

This was a voice that Jolt was happy to hear any time. She was currently having a nice soak in the springs, trying to take her mind off of what had happened. And it was working, considering that when she heard Green's voice she hopped up to her feet in the water, completely forgetting that a) she was naked, and b) she had girl bits. "Green! Hey!"

Woah WOAH that was a lot of... body. And conflicting emotions at the sudden exposure of said body. Green literally skidded to a stop, and coughed violently, trying to keep his gaze turned slightly to the left of Jolt.

"Wow, I. Yep, you definitely got cursed."

Jolt quickly realized what she had just done, and in horror she dropped back into the water, covering herself quickly.

"Ah fuck... Sorry boss..." She was mentally kicking herself now.

"No, no. It's fine," Green continued, trying to shake off the shock to the system.

"I was expecting it, but I guess I wasn't... expecting it."

"I guess I should've warned you first," Jolt suggested, sighing. "I don't wanna scare you off though."

"Scare me off?" Green scoffed.

"You're gonna have to do a little better than flash a shiny new pair of tits if you're looking to scare me off, Jolt."

"Good," Jolt said. "Because I kinda want you to stay. This is weird and I kinda want someone familiar around."
