Who: Hayato and his class and anyone who decided to tag along for funsies
What: A TROPICAL GETAWAY
When: A WEEKEND IN JANUARY.
Where: Isle Delfino
Suggested Listening: NO ESCAPE.
Winter sucks, right? Hayato sure thought so. Well, he didn't hate it, but after a month of cold and dark he decided it was high time for a change. While he could have easily done the selfish thing and fled the city for the entirety of winter break, he liked to consider himself a more generous man than that. Surely his students would love the chance to get away from winter for a few days, too. And if any staff happened to stow away for the trip, well, that was their decision.
So, under the guise of having a swimming class while the school's outdoor pool was out of use, our hero whisked everyone away to lovely Isle Delfino. Once plagued by darkness and vandalism, the whole island had since been kept clean and bright and shiny and boasted a number of tourist attractions. With the only real requirement for the gym class being to get at least some swimming in, there would be plenty of time to explore everything else. Between abandoned eggs that hatch water-soluble yoshis, a giant mall, human pachinko, an amusement park, and the hotel with an abundance of ghost stories, there's bound to be something to do.
All in all, not a bad way to ease in to the new semester. The hardcore classes could start next week, he promised, before setting his class free.

Re: LUAU
The same month he started working for Bowser!
"So, I haven't been dancing quite as long!"

Re: LUAU
He spent a moment tuning his instrument so that it would stand up to a more vigorous strumming.
Then he started to play I'll Be Your Baby Tonight. It wasn't exactly the single most rousing song on the planet, but a little better than his other favorites. He stumbled a little during the more intense picking sections, though! He was still learning this one. He just carried on playing like a trooper, though.
Re: LUAU
Re: LUAU
"How was that? Was it upbeat enough for you?"
Re: LUAU
Re: LUAU
He strummed a few chords and set the Ukulele down.
"I think my teacher knows some better ones for dancing. I'll talk to him when we get back to the city - Maybe I can play something at dance club some time!"
It was a small enough gathering and he was friends with pretty much everyone there so if he goofed up a new song? It wouldn't be so bad.
Re: LUAU
Re: LUAU
That was a good mission.
Plus, it gave him an excuse to load the spare space in his suitcase with coconuts - they would need them for costumes. You couldn't do Hula without coconut bikini tops, right?
Re: LUAU
Good idea. She had a hell of a time trying to find coconuts her size already.
Re: LUAU
He'd find some larger ones. At least Risky Boots wasn't in their dance club. Not that Sonny knew who that was.
