Don’t worry about the future.

Who: EV ERY ONE
What: Graduation. Prom.
When: The evening of May 31st.
Where: The Stadium.
Warnings: WHO KNOWS

It's a beautiful spring evening at Smash Academy, the barest hints of summer just beginning to touch the stadium floor, which had been rearranged into a platform overlooking neat rows of chairs meant to seat the gathered crowd of faculty and students. Towards the other end of the complex was the arrangement for the prom that was to follow. Food and drink, chairs and tables, each with a floral centerpiece, and, of course, a dance floor.

title or description

Before everyone could get their party on, however, there was the main event of the evening. From his place at the podium, Master Hand watched students and staff alike find their way into the stadium. With the recent shadow bug invasion, there seemed to be tensions in need of dispelling. If the Headmaster knew one thing, however, it was that some silly antics were not going to ruin this esteemed event. Not tonight. Not if he could help it.

HEY DUDES! Here's how stuff is going to work. We kick off the log with GRADUATION. This part of the log will be divided into separate threads. I'll post them all at once, so feel free to hop around, mingle, post whenever, wherever.

HOWEVER, once the PROM starts, it will be up to you guys to post your own threads. Please check out last year's log if you'd like an idea of how this works. Everything after the thread titled "DISMISSAL" (I will post that in a bit, so don't post prom threads until I have that up!) will be considered prom, though don't let that stop you from continuing to post in the graduation section.

Please label all your threads appropriately! (Examples: "SHENANIGANS AT THE FOOD TABLE", "DANCE-OFF", "THE PUNCH IS SPIKED", "BOTHER X" In general, a location + what is going on in the thread is the way to go. Obviously, more than one thread can take place at the same location.

Linking back and forth when and if you thread hop is very much appreciated. If things start to look a bit laggy, we'll bump to the next page. Most importantly, TAG YOUR DUDES, HAVE FUN, and let a mod know about any problems or concerns you might have!

Ziio, Mac's face was blood red, like a cherry. He actually went up to go pick up the bag himself, flustered and nervous. Mac didn't try to hide it, because he knew he was screwed the moment he dropped it.

He just hope nobody saw, and everyone else was just too busy to care what Mac was doing.

He swallowed hard, and found himself sweating. He was in huge trouble now. He was in for it, he thought.

"N-nooo, I-!" Mac stuttered. "I'll just. Take it."

At least he had the good sense just to do as opposed to trying to argue with her or otherwise turn it into another Falcon spectacle of twisted words and what she perceived as a deliberate rudeness. At least. But then, Ziio had never really disliked Mac on any level.

"Good. You do that and if you get irresponsible, be responsible about your irresponsibility."

Which she couldn't say without giving the smallest curve of the mouth. Responsible irresponsibility. Something she was supposed to be doing as well, she assumed.

Something about this lady, Mac thought to himself. He wasn't sure if it was scary or cool. It was probably both, and to be fair, Mac acted like a dummy. He was quite sure of that. Miss Ziio was actually being kind of nice about it, even if he wasn't sure if there was an air of judgment around them or not.

He was confused much.

She didn't question him on anything despite her having all of the fuel to do so, so the fact that she wasn't pushing an explanation, again, was scary and cool.

What could she be thinking of him now, he wondered.

These were all just forms of him being straight out sheepish about it, and the sheepishness was still very evident on his face.

"You don't gotta worry 'bout that, Miss Ziio," he softly said. "I'll be good, promise."

It was sort of... What was the word. Cute? Sweet? Something like that. There was something about the way he replied that made her smile turn that much more sincere. As if he genuinely meant to please her and she was no one to him, so the respect was not only unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. There weren't very many other people who would have done that, she figured, and it made Mac stand out quite a bit. But to be fair, there wasn't really anyone else at the academy like Mac.

"If you need anything, come see me." As if she needed to remind him. Ziio reminded people so often of her office that she had to imagine by the present, no one actually needed to see her, or wanted her opinion, and that was fine. She hadn't been Clan Mother back home and there was no need for her to play at being Clan Mother at the academy.

She still didn't say anything. Still yet, after all of the flustering Mac was feeling, she still hadn't said a word questioning him. He wasn't sure how it happened, but a feeling of relief came to him.

Relief? Yes really, relief.

Ziio was very calm, and straight forward, not pulling a single string from him. There would be some, not from Smash probably, that would've made some comment on his behavior and would've tried to shame and maim him for it. Not that Mac would've changed his ways from peer pressure, not at all, but if anyone went out of their way to ridicule him, it would have still stung a bit. No doubt.

Mac was a total virgin, with every sense of the word. Even the very notion of sex threw him for a loop.

But, again, Ziio did none of that. If Mac didn't show how thankful he was for those actions, he would now.

"Y-yeah," Mac said, standing a little bit more confidently. "...Thanks."

He said that with total sincerity.

It was as if he expected something more out of her and she had to wonder what he was reaching for. Times were different and people were too, two things she'd had a difficult time adjusting to. People like Mac made her feel like the differences weren't so numerous and she appreciated that more than she'd ever allow herself to say.

And rather than to let it go so easily, she decided to pinpoint it, as she imagined she would have back in the village. "...Yes?" she began quietly, as to not attract attention to them. "...Is there something on your mind?" For Ziio was observant and Mac wasn't very good at hiding himself.
