One might find the stadium a little hot and humid for those used to a spring graduation ceremony. This fine evening the Academy is experiencing its first hints of summer, a warm breeze providing relief to those who would sit on the stadium floor, which had been rearranged into a platform overlooking neat rows of chairs meant to seat the gathered crowd of faculty and students. Towards the other end of the complex was the arrangement for the prom that was to follow. Food and drink, chairs and tables, each with a floral centerpiece, and, of course, a dance floor.



Before everyone could get their party on, however, there was the main event of the evening. From his place at the podium, Master Hand watched students and staff alike find their way into the stadium. With the recent robot shenanigans, there seemed to be tensions in need of dispelling. If the Headmaster knew one thing, however, it was that some silly city antics were not going to ruin this esteemed event. Not tonight. Not if he could help it.

HEY DUDES! Here's how stuff is going to work. We kick off the log with GRADUATION. This part of the log will be divided into separate threads. I'll post them all at once, so feel free to hop around, mingle, post whenever, wherever.

HOWEVER, once the PROM starts, it will be up to you guys to post your own threads. Please check out last year's log if you'd like an idea of how this works. Everything after the thread titled "DISMISSAL" (I will post that in a bit, so don't post prom threads until I have that up!) will be considered prom, though don't let that stop you from continuing to post in the graduation section.

Please label all your threads appropriately! (Examples: "SHENANIGANS AT THE FOOD TABLE", "DANCE-OFF", "THE PUNCH IS SPIKED", "BOTHER X" In general, a location + what is going on in the thread is the way to go. Obviously, more than one thread can take place at the same location.

Finally, the Headmaster decided that enough mingling was enough, and approached the podium, clearing his throat into the microphone to silence the gathered crowd.

"It is with great pleasure that I assemble the students and faculty of our esteemed Smash Academy to celebrate the accomplishments not only of our senior class, but also of our institution as a whole.

For those of you who have managed to complete the required curriculum, congratulations. You have opened up a new chapter in your lives, and you take with you the achievements and of the past four years. Your dedication and determination to our Academy helps to make it the fine institution it is today.

Whether you choose to continue your careers here or elsewhere, please know that your accomplishments and contributions to the academy will remain."

He paused for a brief moment, coughing and shuffling something behind the podium.

"With that said, let us celebrate today's achievement and thus, I present to you Smash Academy's graduating class of 2013."

Finishing his speech and letting the applause die down, Master Hand figured it was time to get commencement underway. He called the seniors up one by one, presenting them with their diplomas and allowing them to say a few words.

...Thought he was going to go into tears. Years ago, he never thought of where he would be. Not here. Not in the WVBA. Sure as hell not finishing school. So much had happened. So much. Four years.

But he was not done. Not done here, let alone the stage.

You better bet he was giving a speech.

"Hey guys...uh, first of all I wanna say 'good job' to all the other guys graduatin' with me," Mac started. He chuckled.

"Man, I never thought I'd see the day I'd be standin' here with this thing in my hand sayin' all the good work I did. It's been years, lotta things happened since I got here. When it got bad, when it got good...all those memories kept me here. I wanna think I've grown a lot. Maybe I did. I still feel like myself. People came and went, I've seen a lotta strange things. But you know what? This ain't the end for me here. Not by a long shot, I'm gonna keep it that way. I'm still gonna be that doofus boxer kid ya see in the gym or the hallways. Just maybe not wearin' the school uniform anymore. Got my whole life ahead of me, lotta things I wanna do yet. You ain't shook me off yet, Smash Academy!"

Cyrus started to approach the podium. For the past few years, he'd given rallying speeches, but the reception had been icy at best. They had no head for the world around them.

But he couldn't resist a chance to speak.

Once there, he lowered his head slightly, appearing as though the weight of the world was on him. "I will be brief," he began, pausing for the inevatable wags who would applaud that statement alone. "These are trying times for this region. I ask all of you, those who have graduated and those who still attend, as well as faculty and staff, to do one thing; one single thing."

He raised his head, looking directly at many people as he swept his gaze in a row. "Protect each other."

DISMISSAL AND *~*~*SEGUE TO PROM*~*~*

With the diplomas granted and speeches taken care of, Master Hand stepped to the podium one last time to officially end the ceremony.

"Seniors." He began. "Please move your tassel from the right to the left. Congratulations, Smash Academy class of 2013."

Apparently the senior class had been pretty small this year, and so the ceremony was pretty short, with only a few students being called up. Then came the speeches, then the official end of the ceremony. Congratulations were given, caps were thrown, photos were taken...

All without Kiyotaka being a part of it.

That didn't make sense. Although he had initially enrolled as a sophomore, since finding out about a sizable gap in his memories in February, he'd done all he could to catch up on those missing two years so he could graduate as he was supposed to. Taken extra classes, challenged the exams, spent almost every waking moment studying (and stayed awake longer to do even more)... He'd done well. He should have passed.

He remained quietly in his seat, even after chairs started being moved aside to make room for prom. There had to have been a mistake in the paperwork somewhere. The Hands would realize it and it would all be cleared up within a few minutes. By the end of the night. The next day at the latest. Right?

He still hurt. His burns were healing, but his wounds had yet to fully heal, having externally patched up while internal organ damage still required time. What was fatal for any human was just a nasty injury for him. Those busted-open holes the expulsion of electricity dealt his intestines? Bad, but treatable. The half-disintegration of a few ribs? Whatever. They'll grow back. If not, he can deal without them.

Therefore, Shadow had no complaints about having to chaperone. The hospital staff did, but he hardly gave a damn what they thought. He demanded to be released today, through with having to sneak out and yearning to just be free. They settled for very frequent outpatient care, after a hell of a long time spent convincing them, and here he was. He was a tad late, having missed the entire graduation itself and only making it for the prom, but it would still do. If not, well, looks like his paycheck was getting docked this month. Big whoop.

He strode in as if he was perfectly fine, all of his bandaging gone and his burns having healed. His little patch of fur on his arm that got shaved even grew back! That was quick. Then again, he only had the body of the Ultimate Lifeform to blame for speedy recoveries, even in the sense of fuzz.

He stepped towards the back of the area, keeping in range enough to watch the students, but staying away enough to (hopefully) avoid any unnecessary contact.

He was going to pointedly ignore the pain in his abdomen right now. Yes, that would do just fine.

It was difficult to miss Shadow's network post announcing his unfortunate accident. Samus initially chalked that up to Just Another Part of Living At Smash Academy, an unfortunate testament to how jaded this place made her about strange things like that. She'd gotten the impression that Shadow was more than capable of taking care of himself, but whatever happened still prickled her curiosity. Concern even more so seeing him out in the open still like this, in apparent pain.

Jaded or not, she wasn't about to underestimate the potential for a threat if there was one that could do something like this to someone like him.

After studying him for a moment, she silently slipped away from the bulk of the party and returned with a glass of water in one hand.

"Here." She offered. Tn the other hand was a red and blue single pill. "An analgesic. It's not much but it should help." She explained.

Caim Chaperones at Prom

It wasn't where he wanted to be. He hadn't wanted to go at all, not even in the years prior, but for one reason or another he was. And he knew that was because instructor obligation was... well. Instructor obligation.

So he stood in the outfit Furiae had tailored for him, for just such an occasion and stood a little away from one of the snack tables. Arms folded over his chest, he seemed perfectly content to just watch. At least to make sure nothing would go horribly wrong.

Chiyo could spot Caim from anywhere. Of course, she could spot anyone she knew from anywhere, but that wasn't the point. Caim was different, his muteness being a big contribution to that difference, and her curiosity of him never faded away. She recalled her first meeting with him at the hospital, and slightly grimaced at how irrationally rash she had been, but her heart was true and she really did want to help, no matter the consequences. She just hoped he wouldn't hold it against her for that.

So, with that on her mind, she wondered if he ever did manage to find his sister and if she was okay. Thinking that asking him about Furiae would be a great opportunity to approach him, she took that chance and strolled on over. She paused before him with a smile and curtsied.

"Good evening, Teacher Caim. Do you remember me? From the hospital?" she asked, bright eyed and placid. Though, goodness gracious. Was he sparkling? There were definitely sparkles gleaming all around him. Was this some sort of sign? "I'm Chiyo. I was wondering if everything was all right with your sister."

Eirika Looks like a Bride

It didn't seem too different from Renais.

There were some clear cut differences, of course, yet Eirika hadn't seem displeased by any of it. Rather that she was vaguely amused by the similarities. The graduation itself was simple and to the point, which she found to be pleasant. But considering it was the first graduation she'd ever attended, she hadn't known what to expect.

Prom itself, was... intriguing. Pretty outfits, pretty people, interesting music that she wasn't accustomed to. And she was right, there was food and dancing. With hands at the skirts of her dress, she seemed the slightest bit antsy. Or maybe it was just that for as familiar as it seemed, she felt a bit out of place.

Mary clapped her little hands together in delight when sh saw Eirika's dress, noting that it did, in fact, resemble the poofy white gown worn by the portrait of the young newlywed back in the Gallery.

"Oh! Oh! Are you getting married today?"

This was nothing like he expected. And Connor felt he seemed entirely out of place.

When the party started though, he stuck around. Unsure of how to be...particularly social. Some of the music seemed a bit out of taste, and Connor was not one for much dancing. Well, he would...try to if you wanted but.

Most of the time, he stood in a corner surveying the place in his rather seemingly shockingly formal wear. Which was a funny story of asking around like a dunce about how to don appropriate dress...finding and paying a tailor to fit him into one...and so forth. He felt stuffy actually. He still wore his braid and his claw necklace though. So whatever the hell was up with him was this...rustic gentleman thing. Weird. No cologne either, that stuff was terrible to smell when it came to his attention.

So either a chair, corner, or by the food (unsure if he wanted to eat it though).

For some of the time, anyway.

So when she caught him, she was careful to look around before approaching. Creeping up behind him was likely a fruitless attempt, however. He was a man of the land and she imagined his hearing was good. It didn't stop her from lifting her hands and slipping them over his eyes.

"Hello, Connor."

HE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE!!

BUT YOU'RE GOING TO SHUT YOUR MOUTH ABOUT IT.

Fortunately, it had taken Desmond very little time to figure out exactly where he lived in this new dimension of reality (he may or may not have procured his employee files from the office of the bar he woke up in). Once he located his surprise home, he was more than pleased to find that not only did he live in a somewhat decent apartment but his parking space in the complex was occupied with a motorcycle not too dissimilar from the one he left in New York.

Well, he didn't have an explanations for this crazy shit but he was sure as Hell going with it.

So after getting some directions from rather unruly characters within the city limits, Desmond had managed his way to the academy just in time to find a prom at the end of a musical rainbow. He didn't know what to expect, but truth be told, a party was not one of those things. The normalcy of seeing a celebratory student affair in action was disorienting in the grand scheme of Desmond's most recent life, but overall?

Well, it kind of brought a smile to his face.

So he'd do some sneaky sneaking in in his street clothes, mostly hoping to find anyone familiar to bring him some ease. If Connor was here and he himself was as well, maybe he'd get lucky and find faces he could put names to. Though he could think of a few he'd rather avoid, too.

GET OUT YOU UGLY PROTO-... ASSASSIN.

There was no sense of familiarity here, to be certain, but Desmond did manage to catch Shadow's eye at some point. However brief it was, he did note that he looked surprisingly average in this band of magical powers and mystical creatures. Was this a regular, powerless human at a fighting school filled to the brim with Pokemon and other miscellaneous almighty beings?

Interesting, but he wasn't going to pay him any further mind.

That is, until he attempted to shuffle through the crowd of people with a cup of punch in his hand. No, he hadn't located the normal one here, but when he'd stumbled out of sight, looking for some alone time, he did the unthinkable.

That normal human? His pants were going to be stained with punch now, because a very abnormal hedgehog had run into him, spilling his drink all over the place. He swore there wouldn't be anyone here, but it seemed like he wasn't the only one strategically sneaking around.

"Ergh-- for the love of...!" He cursed inwardly, his head steamy with a nasty concoction of embarrassment and disgust. He hurriedly swiped the (plastic, thank Chaos) cup from the floor in an attempt to prevent any more Fruit Punch Catastrophes.

He hadn't even apologized to Desmond yet. Talk about manners.

Blue does things

Better late than never. Blue was there, flitting to and fro. She had a list of people she wanted to bother, but seemed like she was incredibly accommodating to anyone that approached her instead. If you looked at her, she'd smile back and maybe wave.

Cress came closer, having spotted the other Pokemon trainer from the opposite side of the room. She may not have had the most flowing, glittering gown in the ball, but maybe that suited her, and maybe that looked very very nice. It was charming.

With a cordially complacent smile on his lips, he greeted her with a slight dip of a bow. "Good evening, Blue! You look exceptional."

Bulba also does things

Bulba knew how these things went. While he still didn't look completely comfortable in his dressy attire, he didn't feel completely out of place. There was a little bit of a nervous energy around him, since he was sort of on a mission, but he was in a good mood regardless.

Sometimes he was standing over there, ripe for botherings. Other times he had already caught sight of someone he wanted to bug, and was moving up next to them to touch them on the arm.

Green could be found hanging around his starter an awful lot, one finger tapping nervously on an arm. He would drift away frequently, but would always find his way back.

"Like a bunch of intoxicated babies, they are," he grumbled, indicating the kids out on the dance floor.

Bitty Pretty Turret poking at the HIGH SUGAR ITEMS

Vivian had gotten better at using her computer and reviewing the network, taking note of calendar events and making sure to attend them. She had decided she wanted to understand humans better, since there seemed to be such an overwhelming response surrounding her previous incarnation as a sentry turret. Since she was under the impression there was no going back to her old body anymore, Vivian knew she had to make the proper adjustments.

She kept most of this in that little ol' head of hers, crowned with swirls of silver hair that for this event was kept down in a beautiful braid. In fact, she was actually rather lovely today! Who the heck was responsible for that?

In any case, Vivian remains unarmed and has been keeping out of trouble, but other than wandering around and observing what everyone else is doing, she looks rather lost. She remains by the food and seems to be admiring some rather colorful cupcakes.

Unfortunately for Vivian, Knuckles generally attended Prom in his much less pettable Human state so that when he danced with people, it wasn't nearly so awkward. But he'd noticed her eyeing the sugary stuff as he was picking up a couple of vegetarian club sandwiches.

Mukuro was standing against the wall, near the buffet table with a glass of punch in her hand. She looked appropriately po faced even if she was dressed for the occasion. This felt weird. Hope's Peak had culture festivals and whatnot, but never so much a dance on this scale during graduation. Graduation was a solemn occasion, with appropriate polite applauses as people received their diplomas.

She was never one for being incredibly social, so she's more content simply to watch every else on the dancefloor, chatting and generally having a good time. Watching, never saying or doing anything apart from the occasional sip from her cup.

The two might have made quite a pair on a regular day. Both stiff, formal, and militant; the only immediately obvious difference between the two being that one was quiet and observant and the other was loud and passionate about everything under the sun.

Tonight was... a special occasion. Because at least one of them made the mistake of drinking from the punch bowl that had been tampered with. It made him feel a little more talkative, although it didn't make him any more of a conversationalist than usual.

"Iiikusaba-kun..." Yes. Good way to start. Then he hesitated and tried to think of how to continue. "Keep a close watch on everybody tonight! There may be no stopping the dancing, but let us ensure that it stays appropriate...!"

Wow, not so much as a "hi" or "how are you" before giving orders. Truly, a pro at conversation.

Nostalgia was a wonderful thing. It seems that Riley had found an appropriate time to come back - during graduation. Of course he returned when some were leaving, when loose ends were being tied. In a sense, is that not what he was doing in coming back here? Tying the loose ends in his life.

Which were what, exactly? He wasn't entirely sure, but he was merely guided by a feeling that he should come back to resolve something within himself.

So there was a hatted individual in a sharp suit moving around the crowds. Those with a keen eye may see the occasional blue haze trailing him - though that was probably just the light. Or was it?

Mr. Aura, meet Mr. Chaos.

Shadow had more than a keen eye. His eyes were that of a precise eagle, formulated with the best sight a living creature could bear. Therefore, the fact that he'd seen something wisp by him, a ghastly haze of bluish hues, was not shrugged off and ignored. He wasn't crazy, at least not in this sense. (He couldn't exactly say the same for the rest of his behavior. He was already aware that he was, uh... generally unhinged.)

Was that Chaos Energy? It looked like Chaos Energy, yet he didn't sense it. That was enough to make him more than suspicious. He gave a leery stare in Riley's direction, watching his movements, his collected strides, and feeling more and more uneasy with every step.

Who was this man?

He had to find out.

He trailed behind him, stealthily shuffling through the crowd and remaining on his tail. He inhaled deeply - no peculiar scent - and observed - the blue haze was gone - before he moved in to touch, fingers ghosting just over the fabric of his pants.

He didn't feel Chaos beneath his fingertips.

It was all still a mystery.

Kiyotaka's experience with alcohol was limited to knowing two things:

1. Alcoholic drinks were not allowed on campus and anybody caught in possession of one was to be sent to the Headmaster's office immediately.
2. At some point in his childhood he had been told not to touch the cans that occasionally appeared in the fridge and he obediently left them alone.

He wasn't familiar with the smell or the taste or even the more subtle signs of a person under the influence, and in all of his researching this "prom" thing he had failed to learn the universal rule: the punch was always spiked.

So even when the punch tasted a little strange, he shrugged it off as being the way it was supposed to. It was very rare that he drank anything that wasn't water, milk, or green tea, but this was apparently a staple of a school function like this, and he was thirsty... At least the taste got less noticeable as time wore on. Everything else seemed to, too.

At first he hovered by the table, trying hard to focus on keeping an eye on everyone and making sure there was no hanky panky out on the dance floor and generally trying to keep himself distracted from his woes over not graduating. But as the evening wore on, he became much less interested in what was going on around him. His perfect posture became a bit of a slouch, he stumbled both over his words and his own feet, and overall he was just so... obviously wasted.

At which point during this trainwreck will you encounter him?

After meandering around the hall for a bit, Chiyo, with her pretty blue dress, thought to go ahead and get herself a drink and take a glance at what the refreshments table had to offer. She saw Kiyotaka over by the punch and thought, "That looks pretty good." and sauntered on over. She wasn't sure if he was serving it, or if everything was self-service, so she simply tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.

"Hello!" she chirped, feeling rather merry. "May I ask what you're drinking?"

Bump into Cress

Cress could be found virtually all over the place, dressed in a swanky blue vest and slim-fitting (highwater, kill him) black slacks, doing all of the things one would like to do at a prom such as this. He's got his hands in the food table and all over the dance floor, and for him, this is social hour, so he'd love to stop and chat. More than that, how about a dance?

He'll be spending much of the night with Celes, but when he's free, he's available for one-on-one mingling. As the night wanes, he may even start to get a little tipsy because that punch is a real kick. What's a little alcohol? Just... don't overdo it please. Cress.

He could do without the robots chaperoning the place, though. He will be staying far away from those. They set him on edge.

Hi there, Cress. Have you forgotten about your seething brother from across the room? Maybe he has. It wouldn't be too surprising, considering Chili opted to enjoy himself for the beginning of the night rather than think about Celes and Cress.

But he couldn't help but notice Celes and Cress spending time together. Not just tonight, but a lot. They were dating. He knew that.

But that didn't mean he had to like it.

Finally, when he noticed Cress alone, Chili headed straight across the room and met with his brother on the other side. He held out a hand. To anybody watching, this entire transaction looked entirely civil.

"Let's dance." I want to speak with you about something.

Knuckles actually loved Prom. He went every single year. It was great to take Goombella out and show her off in her pretty dresses and make sure she had a good time. But as attentive a date as he was ("You want a glass of punch, baby? I bet it's spiked again this year!") He also made time to say Hi to as many of his friends as he could and chances were high that there was a spot on his dance card if you wanted to cut a rug with the Echidnamin. He was actually a pretty decent dancer so your toes had no reason to fear the tread of his weighted shoes.

Furiae had never met the Echidna in his human form, but there was something about the figure of the bright red-headed young man that still made the woman glance at him for a little longer than she did most of the faces at the prom. Not that she thought them to be the same person at all, not really used to the whole switching forms shenanigans of the school. She knew it was a thing, rooming with a Pokemon and knowing a young girl named Ai to actually be of usually a smaller variety of person, but she wasn't otherwise used to the concept. After all, not everyone shifted their shape - Knuckles had always been Knuckles when they met, and her home economics teacher was always the same form every class as well.

Nevertheless, the red of his hair - that alone reminded Furiae briefly of the person whom she had met with only a couple of times. It was a better reminder than what else red had come to represent in her heart.

If their eyes should meet, however, Furiae would only look for a second longer before turning away, not allowing any embarrassment show at being caught, as if there was none at all. Maybe she was looking at something else entirely, and it only seemed as if she had been observing him.

Otherwise, there was nothing else to it. Furiae would have politely approached the echidna that night if she had spotted him and thought him not already occupied, but the red-tinted sub-human had been absent as far as the princess knew.

So she just made me write a tag that she's standing around. Brilliant.

Chiyo is seeing stars... literally.

Oh god. PROM. This was like a dream come true for Chiyo. Her first very own ball, or so she'd like to see it. The moment she heard of the event, she searched high and low for ways to obtain a dress. The wonders of online shopping then graced her with its presence and she had an excellent time browsing through the web for the perfect dress.

...and then the idea of actual dresses of princesses came to mind. Oh how she would just love to dress up as her beloved fairytale princesses! And she knew just the one she wanted to dress up as.

Ariel, the Mermaid Princess.

Yes, and so there she was at prom, in her wonderfully blue and sparkly dress, adorned with accessories of pearls and shells, and why of course, a tiara. Because, she was totally going to allow herself to be a princess for the night, just like Cinderella got to spruce herself up for her grand debut. She was feeling so graceful, so magnificent in her grand dress as she wandered through the doors into the hall. Of course, some particular special yellow candy assisted in her collected and rather confident composure. But her eyes... her eyes told all along with her dazzling smile. The place was literally sparkling to her, and made the whole event seem more dreamlike. The occasional fairies flitting about with their singsong giggles added to ethereal moment, too.

But hey, she was happy and that's all that mattered. Because, really, if she wasn't high, she wouldn't have bought that dress, nor would she have attempted to go to prom alone. Or at least go to prom and not hide and make herself a wallflower. Being high as she was, she waltz in proudly with an unrestrained exhilaration. And! She also walked in with a purpose.

Would she be able to find her Prince Eric for tonight?

Maybe not. But here was... this... guy. There really are no comparable characters in the Little Mermaid movie, so we'll just go with a Disney Crossover and say he's The Beast. Sort of. Well, at least he isn't wearing his full fur coat, as it were.

"Hey, look at you, then." he said as she bustled past him. "You really went all out, eh?"

It was... about as close to a compliment as he generally tended to give. He did think she looked nice, though.

Somewhere along the line in the night, you might be sitting in one of the fold out chairs near the wall, alternating between staring at your bejeweled shoes and staring at the other residents of the school out on the dance floor, cutting up a rug. You might sigh a little. You were having a good time, canoodling with your friends, drinking the most likely spiked punch. But that adolescent alcohol buzz was really the least of your worries!! You were glad to come to prom and spend time with everyone, but that romantic comedy part of you wondered if maybe, just maybe... You might find your prince charming tonight.

And then. He arrived.

Tall. Blonde. Mysterious glasses. Long eyelashes. A crisp, black suit and tie combo. He looked important. He looked brooding. And he was wearing the hell outta those pants. Normally, you would duck your head, but tonight you were feeling bold (thanks, punch). You steeled yourself, stood, and walked towards him. This was it, you could feel it. This was your someone special.

You opened your mouth to speak your first words, only to be savagely shoulder checked. You tumbled ass first into a small ice sculpture. Your dress was ruined. The mysterious blonde kept walking, not even batting one of those heavily eyelashed eyes at his brutal and efficient dismissal. One thing flashed through your mind, and one thing only:

What a prick.

Regardless, Byakuya Togami was here, and he was on a mission. An actual, literal mission, as fate would have it. A mission to see if the dead really could walk the earth. He was about to find out, no matter how horrific and gaudy the environment.

Kiyotaka's skull may have been significantly less of a caved-in, bloody mess than it was the last time Byakuya saw it, but at the rate things were going he was going to have one hell of a headache the next morning. He was, by the time the heir arrived on the scene, completely drunk off his ass. He was also finally aware that the punch he'd been drinking was spiked, and golly was he pissed off about it.

If the bowl had not been finished off by the time he realized it (not by himself, thank goodness), he would have dumped it all into the nearest trash can. For now he was trying his best to will the drunkenness away and lay low for a while so he didn't make too big an ass of himself. Any more than he might have already.

When he figured out who was responsible for this he was so gunning to get them executedpelled. At one point his eyes blearily lingered on Byakuya, but his inability to think clearly coupled with the fact that for him, the events at Hope's Peak Academy had been eight months ago, left him unable to recognize him. So he said nothing and looked away instead.

Goldilocks is around.

Initially, Gold had planned on asking Green to the prom. He had doubts about whether the older trainer would say yes, but he had thought it would have been worth a shot, anyway. But when Gold returned from Hyrule to learn Alorah had been hurt in the city, she was the only person he could think to ask. He'd even asked his mom for extra money to get Alorah whatever dress she liked!

Gold was dressed up fairly nice; he even smoothed out his hair. Although he arrived with Alorah- and mostly stayed by her side for the evening- Gold was around to mingle or dance with others, too.

Suddenly, there was a tap on Gold's shoulder.

Of course, Jon felt pretty guilty once he'd heard about Alorah too, seeing as he'd told Gold he would keep an eye out for her and Maisy. But even he couldn't be everywhere twenty four hours a day. Hopefully Gold understood.

As usual, Cyrus was watching the refreshments to make sure nobody altered them. With these drugs out there, that role was more important than ever. His pokémon had joined him, with Houndoom positioned under the table, hidden beneath the skirt, ready to sniff out anything suspicious.

His white suit was more than a little conspicous, but he was never one for stealth anyway.

Say hello to Henry at a social function

...A social function being prom, and a social function meaning something you don't want to talk to Henry at. Probably-maybe. Because he's kinda weird, isn't he? Don't talk to weird people.

Okay, so he missed the graduation ceremony. For reasons. And he stumbled on prom entirely by accident, so he didn't dress up for the occasion, wearing his standard outfit and nothing fancier. It was lucky that by chance, his outfit was exotic and fancy enough to be considered a part of the function, but it definitely bore no resemblance to the tuxedos most other men wore.

Still, he looked friendly enough. He didn't seem like one to decline a dance, nor one to say no to a chat. The dark mage could be found flitting around from place to place, and could definitely be found anywhere. No, anywhere.


...Feeling adventurous? Later on in the night, Henry will fall victim to the spiked punch. Feel free to come into contact with him then, but be sure to specify if that's what you want. Especially if you'd like for him to accidentally leave your character with a light curse of your choosing, which they can either gain on the spot or wake up with the next morning. He's a walking disaster.

Well isn't that an interesting outfit. So interesting, that it immediately caught Chiyo's attention. She couldn't help but to stop whatever she was doing and stare at him for a moment. Or two. He looked like someone from a fantasy story, but oh... OH.

Wasn't he the one on the network who introduced himself as being one who liked death curses? And he could actually perform them?

Maybe talking to him wouldn't be such a great idea... but he did seem so chipper and nice! How could anyone so sunny really enjoy harming people? He may have just said that to surprise people, terrible joke as it may be. It seemed that as of late, all the people she's met have turned out to be rather lovely in spite of their appearances, so this person could possibly be delightful, too! Chiyo just had to find out. She could very well be missing out on a beautiful friendship for all she knew. And, well, if he didn't turn out as she expected, then... it's not like she had to make contact with him everyday, did she?

So with slightly tentative steps, Chiyo made her way on over to Henry. She gave him a small smile and a wave as she greeted him.

"Hello. Your name is Henry, right?" She remembered his name from when he introduced himself on the network because, really, who could forget someone who offered to do death curses for free and with a sacrifice? "My name's Chiyo. It's nice to meet you."

Mama Nabooru to the Rescue (No. Not really.)

Another year. Another graduation. Another prom. While Nabooru wasn't exactly proud the way she was when she had her own graduation, she did have to hold a degree of pride in knowing that she was one of the youngest - if not the youngest - members of the faculty.

She dressed appropriately. Something that seemed a little closer to home. It was different than the masquerade, but in the same respects, it was an excuse to dress a little differently. To stand out. Not that she hadn't normally.

She was restless. From one place to another. Checking the punch. Idly checking on the students. Trying to keep a subtle eye on Pit to make sure he wasn't getting into trouble. And eying her fellow staff in wonder as she tried to figure out who she should go annoy. While she didn't think it'd be a particular night to remember on her case, she knew there was plenty of time for that to turn around.

It wasn't where he wanted to be. No really. It... was not where he wanted to be. But he had gone anyway, because it was a requirement. To be honest, Snake had been looking for an excuse to leave. Had to wait for the opportune moment so he could quickly duck out and stay out.

That moment had yet to present itself, which left him stuck in position.

Consequently, he wound up leaned against a farther wall that defined him the epitome of 'wallflower' and stared with about an unamused expression as anyone else would have expected him to have. Maybe he should have brought a box with him as his date.

A giant wall of a man, with one of those tiny little plates that, in his hands, appeared even tinier, loaded with some sort of skewered meats, walks up next to you.

"I remember when I was their age," said the 28-year-old who graduated like two years ago, attempting to reminisce and failing at it. There was a pause. "Gettin' covered in grease and sweat workin' as a tank gunner, so I guess less party and more fall in line in my case."
