I'll be there for you
Who: EV ERY ONE
What: Graduation. Prom.
When: The evening of May 31st.
Where: The Stadium.
Warnings: WHO KNOWS
One might find the stadium a little hot and humid for those used to a spring graduation ceremony. This fine evening the Academy is experiencing its first hints of summer, a warm breeze providing relief to those who would sit on the stadium floor, which had been rearranged into a platform overlooking neat rows of chairs meant to seat the gathered crowd of faculty and students. Towards the other end of the complex was the arrangement for the prom that was to follow. Food and drink, chairs and tables, each with a floral centerpiece, and, of course, a dance floor.

Before everyone could get their party on, however, there was the main event of the evening. From his place at the podium, Master Hand watched students and staff alike find their way into the stadium. With the recent robot shenanigans, there seemed to be tensions in need of dispelling. If the Headmaster knew one thing, however, it was that some silly city antics were not going to ruin this esteemed event. Not tonight. Not if he could help it.

HEY DUDES! Here's how stuff is going to work. We kick off the log with GRADUATION. This part of the log will be divided into separate threads. I'll post them all at once, so feel free to hop around, mingle, post whenever, wherever.
HOWEVER, once the PROM starts, it will be up to you guys to post your own threads. Please check out last year's log if you'd like an idea of how this works. Everything after the thread titled "DISMISSAL" (I will post that in a bit, so don't post prom threads until I have that up!) will be considered prom, though don't let that stop you from continuing to post in the graduation section.
Please label all your threads appropriately! (Examples: "SHENANIGANS AT THE FOOD TABLE", "DANCE-OFF", "THE PUNCH IS SPIKED", "BOTHER X" In general, a location + what is going on in the thread is the way to go. Obviously, more than one thread can take place at the same location. Linking back and forth when and if you thread hop is very much appreciated. If things start to look a bit laggy, we'll bump to the next page. Most importantly, HAVE FUN, and let a mod know about any problems or concerns you might have!

With no need to rush off elsewhere, Caim often found himself with a good deal of free time, and unsure of what to do with it. Chaperoning for the year's prom had been less involuntary and more of something for him to waste his hours and minutes away with. So far, it hadn't been unpleasant. Nothing for him to outright do - no fights to break up or pupils to discipline. But he was almost more relieved that it wasn't extravagantly lively.
And there was good conversation to be had.
When she addressed him, he'd been thinking, about a variety of different things. His alliances - friends - and the newer people he'd met. Chiyo, for one. She was an interesting young lady. Well, provided he could even call her a 'lady.' For the sake of ease, he supposed there was very little point in trying to be technical.
Looking over to Furiae, his eyebrows raised. If she'd not gotten the drinks already, he would have been the one to get them instead. Consequently, his expression relaxed when he accepted the one she offered and with his free hand, he reached over and affectionately ruffled her hair.
Thank you. But he was pretty sure that was pretty obvious in the way he looked at her.

It hadn't been simply for the event that she had cared for how her hair looked, or how any accessories (perhaps such as the jewellery given to her by Caim during Christmas, the first "proper" time she had to wear the beautiful stones) hung from her; it had been mostly because of her company. When she planned to stay by his side as often as possible, how she was dressed would reflect on Caim as well - or so Furiae told herself. It was fortunate for her, then, to be able to decide his clothing as well, allowing Furiae to be as suitable as possible. Not too overdressed, but enough for the Princess to equal the Prince. As siblings.
So if it had been the wind that ruffled her hair, she would have felt annoyance - but since it had been Caim, Furiae supplied him with a small smile that were accompanied by lowered eyebrows, a quick look of upset that was clearly teasing. Any time wasted thinking about appearances really didn't matter- not right now, at least. Standing in a spot, appropriately so, by his side, Furiae held the cup left in both of her hands and looked out to the dancing figures.
The noise was a little distracting, though conversations so far that day hadn't been too hard to follow. The Princess had worry though, upon their arrival to the prom and the inclusion of the music and voices, the possibility of it being hard to concentrate on whatever Caim might have to say. It hadn't been put to the test yet, and Furiae hadn't yet dare to challenge herself.
Though standing there, slipping the odd side-glance in her brother's direction that allowed her to keep a face of content upon her, there wasn't much Furiae felt she wanted - or needed - to say. She made polite conversation with others as she met them, but such stiff pleasantries were unnecessary for family.
She could be happy saying little else more at all.

His gaze followed hers out onto the floor, the couples dancing, and briefly he thought back to happier days of their childhood. A more carefree lifestyle. If one could actually call it that. Caim had spent so long being not carefree that he couldn't in earnest remember if he'd ever lived that way. He remained training in weapons beneath their father's capable hand. He remembered Furiae's betrothal to Inuart. He remembered the hopes they had for Caerleon and for each other.
Where would his life have taken him without the ever consistent war with the Empire? An existence he would never have the chance to learn of.
Finally, when his mind brought him back to the present, he motioned with his free hand after a drink.
Do you wish to dance? his eyes seemed to ask her, if anything eager to please his sister. Or perhaps to sate the Goddess that sat deep within her.
