Who: All of Smash.
What: Dorm log! September edition.
Where: Student and Teacher dorms, and quite possibly beyond campus.
When: The span of September 15th - 30th.
Warnings: HAHAHAHAHA.

Ripped off the last one and all its friends: Basically, here's how this works. We all know our characters experience downtime after classes and their busy schedules, and this is a good venue for those kinds of miscellaneous dorm-shenanigans to take place. Not only does it give your characters the easy chance to meet new people in a laid-back environment, but it's a good mechanism for strengthening CR. It's easy!

Feel free to begin in any way you please! Plan with (a) fellow player(s) if you'd like! Or, set up a thread and wait for characters to bite! Just add a thread with the room number (and date/time, if it matters) and the characters that reside there (just for reference!). You do not have to use one character's thread as a dual-purpose for both characters if you do not want to. Doesn't have to be a dorm room, either, if you have something else in mind. It could be the common room or the student science lab or wherever. So how's that first week of school been treating you? How big's your pile of homework? Sure, you could be doing that. But why do that when you could decimate your friendships by playing a round of Giana Party 4? Host a girl's-only slumber party! Spy on a girl's-only slumber party! Dare someone to spend the night in the haunted dorm! Slip a (fake) love letter beneath that special someone's door! Etcetera, etcetera... I'm sure you can think of something to get your bad self up to.

Well he couldn't really say no to a friendly invitation, tiny pastries, or the combination of both. Feeling more relieved, Chihiro smiled meekly at Aoi as he took the seat she had offered.

"Um, parfait would be okay."

"Okay! Stay here!"

And Aoi was up, dashing to the register, pointing at a parfait in the display window and quickly returning with it and a spoon. She set it down in front of Chihiro and took her seat, squirming a little as she got settled.

"I haven't seen you in a while! How are you feeling?"

Chihiro was about to voice his protest before Aoi dashed off to grab him a snack. Once she had came back to their table, he stammered a thank you.

He smiled awkwardly when the question was brought up, "I've, um, been busy- my work had been piling up again," he motioned to his messenger bag. It wasn't necessarily a lie, even though most of the reason of his avoidance had been nausea-inducing flashbacks of Hope's Peak.

"It's good to be busy!"

Aoi made something of a habit of never sitting still, after all. She was vaguely aware of the elephant in the room--the fact that recent events at the school had pit them all against her friends--but she didn't quite feel right bringing it up unsolicited. It wasn't like they didn't have things to talk about, after all.

"Are you working on any new programs?"

He nodded, "just a translator for now, I'm mostly doing maintenance and code push my older work but there's a lot of offers coming in as of late." Talking about work is good, getting himself distracted to something his enjoy is also good.

Though talking about himself all the time was bad, he didn't want to seem like That Guy who talks about himself too often. He politely excuse himself to take a small spoon of parfait as he tried to think of something else to talk about.

"Um, how about you? The weather is getting colder and all, would you be, um, okay?" As in, you know, consdering Aoi is a Super High School Level Swimmer and she really loves to swim as much as he love computers.

At least he tried thinking of a conversation.

Computer programming was, admittedly, a little beyond her, but she could admire Chihiro's talents and appreciate them, and find the final products neat.

And ultimately, she figured there was a lot of lost time to make up for, especially as far as her Hope's Peak classmates were concerned.

"Offers from students? That's really cool!"

It was probably good for him, to be able to provide a service like that, to have clients.

"Um, I've been well! It's getting kind of cold to swim outside, so maybe I'll give it another week before I move to the indoor pool. Oh! And I can still jog around the lake!"

"It's um, nice even though it can be pretty sporadic..." he ducked his head in slight embarrassment.

But more importantly...

"That's good at least, I've been um... starting my own, uh, morning jogging again recently so I kind of relate with the jogging in colder weather..." it can't really hurt to admit it right? They would eventually cross paths at some point during their respective routine, anyways.

Okay, this whole conversation was really awkward on his part, even more so than usual and he wasn't even going to try denying it anymore.

Aoi lit up, at that, suddenly very, very excited.

"You're jogging! I didn't know that!"

It wasn't that Chihiro starting to jog was a surprise, rather, she was altogether thrilled with the prospect, and it showed on her face.

"If you want a partner, I can jog with you! Sometimes it's more fun to do it with someone else."

Chihiro should have saw that coming. Considering the topic at hand was sports and he was talking to Aoi.

"W-well, I mostly do it with Ishimaru-kun but I- would love to run with you as well," he tried his best to smile even though it came out rather awkward than intended.

Oh, man, that was even better.

"Hey, maybe the three of us could go, then! We could see if anyone else is interested, and start a club!"

Then Aoi could have seven sports clubs. Amazing.

You know what? He was starting to lit up thanks to the idea.

"I would love to have a track team, it would be nice to have. And oh, um, I think my roommate may also be interested so we have about four people so far."

Naoki was weird. But at some eventual point, you do kind of notice the running shoes he often wore after you got used to the tattoos, fangs, yellow eyes and so on.

You done it now, Chihiro.

"Great! Maybe we can make posters and see who else is interested! We'll have a full club in no time! Oh! Then maybe we can compete with other schools!
