It was a dark and stormy night--

Well, no. It wasn't. In fact, it was rather cool and clear, a perfect October evening for the perfect October celebration. Stars winked above, the choice accompaniment to the orange moon looming overhead. Tonight. Tonight would be a party.



But just as the sun begins to set, the sound of cackling can be heard ringing through campus, the harbinger of what could only be described as Halloween Shenanigans.

Woe betide those that fell into her path.

"Listen, sprout," said the ginormous 13-year-old. "If you think you're tough enough to hang with me, I'll let you do it, 'cause you're supposed to be fuckin' workin' for me, and not dickin' around eatin' cake all day. So you gonna do it, or you gonna go back to your blocks and jack-in-the-box?"

See? Totally qualified. Baby Vinnie stared up at him with eyes of burning red determination. He was gonna be so super grown up, like whoa.

"Yeah, whatever," said Max. "First thing I need you to do is turn human and hop on my back. I need extra weight for some pullups. Or are you too much of a bitty baby to do that?"

"Yuh-huh! Look!"

And lo, the Bulbasaur went pop! and turned into a rather lanky, speckled little boy. And he was actually wearing clothes this time, though no doubt Green or Blue forced him into it.
