It was a dark and stormy night--

Well, no. It wasn't. In fact, it was rather cool and clear, a perfect October evening for the perfect October celebration. Stars winked above, the choice accompaniment to the orange moon looming overhead. Tonight. Tonight would be a party.



But just as the sun begins to set, the sound of cackling can be heard ringing through campus, the harbinger of what could only be described as Halloween Shenanigans.

Woe betide those that fell into her path.

Ordinarily, Marie would have shut his mouth and let Sasha answer the question. But he couldn't keep himself from answering Eifie's questions, too, "I don't know, but something happened to you two. And maybe Vinnie, I dunno. A curse, like, changes your appearance or whatever. Something like that..."

While still talking over Sasha, Marie made a grab for her as she tumbled over her tiny legs. He missed, and she started... rolling around on the ground.

"Let's not do that. Be careful, Sasha..." Marie pleaded, following her as she rolled around. "If you can pick up on Vinnie's scent, that's fine. Just, like, careful with your tail." He looked at Eifie and added, sternly, "Don't do that. Stay by me."

"Rolling? Why should we roll? Is it fun? I like having fun, it's nice!" She almost plopped over to start rolling around too, but stopped when Marie spoke.

"Do what? Would bad things happen if I don't stay by Marie's side? How about Sasha? Would she need to stay by Marie's side too? Vinnie's not by Marie's side, is that a bad thing?"

[petiteflame]

"Stuff like that has happened before here!" she said a little too excitedly. "At least it's not the rooms being covered in water again!" Standing up she dusted herself off and smelled the air.

"Wait wait..I think I smell something like him! Maybe. It's like a lingering thing, it could be just a large flower somewhere!" Wshe had no idea he was a bulbasaur at this point, but whatever this smell was, she was going to follow it!

"OKAY EVERYONE KEEP UP! I'm going to find him--" SPLAT! Must and dead leaves in her nostrils. "Noooo--- I think I lost it!"

Sasha let out a very colorful word which would later be a plague during her Charmeleon days.

The camera panned away, and a few birds flew away from the sheer shock of said word.

"Yes, bad things will happen if you don't stay right by me," Marie answered Eifie. Louder, so the curious Charmander could overhear him, he added, "And Sasha should stay with me, too!" And back to Eifie again, sounding a little panicked again, "Yeah, it's really bad that Vinnie's not here. That's why we have to, like, find him."

Regardless of Marie's worrying and insistence that Sasha not wander away, he did as she instructed and attempted to keep up with her as she followed some mysterious floral scent. Every once and a while, he'd glance down and around to make sure Eifie was still at his heels.

"Sasha," Marie started, then realized there really wasn't any reason to scold her. The swear word just sounded... weird... coming from the little Charmander. Instead, he contorted his scolding into a question. "What do we do now...?"

As if two baby Pokemon would have any idea what to do next. Marie was so not cut out for this.
