It was a dark and stormy night--

Well, no. It wasn't. In fact, it was rather cool and clear, a perfect October evening for the perfect October celebration. Stars winked above, the choice accompaniment to the orange moon looming overhead. Tonight. Tonight would be a party.



But just as the sun begins to set, the sound of cackling can be heard ringing through campus, the harbinger of what could only be described as Halloween Shenanigans.

Woe betide those that fell into her path.

HAHAHAHA OKAY FINE, LET'S PLAY. Garry never got to play with animals before! He didn't have a pet afterall. Not at his parents' or his grandfather's.

So he didn't care what this thing was, it wanted to play he guessed.

...BUT WHAT ARE WE PLAYING? Garry so far is just laughing at how hyper you are.

Okay okay okay. Ok. Ok here was what was going to happen.

The little green blur was going to stop long enough to peer up at Garry with really big orange eyes. And then it was going to... it was gonna...

IT TOTALLY BAPPED GARRY'S LEG WITH ITS PAW WHAT A REBEL. "Ba!"

Just as soon as it had made the briefest amount of physical contact, the tiny Bulbasaur was scampering away a few feet. It immediately crouched down and wiggled its bulb in the air, ready to dash away at a moment's notice.

What just happened? Did the thing want to play a game? Grandpa says animals can act more human than we think. SO SCIENTIFIC GARRY THINKS, hey maybe he is telling him he wants to play. And play he shall. Because this is all fun and he is all about fun.

GONNA GETCHA. CHASE.

The Bulbasaur's eyes lit up in delight when the little boy started to give chase. Yes oh yes yes they were going to play yes. Bulba hopped backwards and sped off through the grass, glancing over his shoulder every so often to see only bulb to see if Garry was still pursuing.

Garry, the non athlete, was indeed behind him. Laughing all the way.

"Hey, not so fast!"

Wheeze, wheeze. Okay are we going through the grass now, yes we are!

Oh, was he going too fast? The little saur slowed a bit, pausing for a moment. Sort of. It wasn't too much of a pause as he continued to dance in place, hopping this way and that eagerly.

Come and get him, come and get him!

AND THEN, he got him! Garry through his arms around him as he made a dash (finally) at him. He was outta breath, puny runner.

"Gotcha, little guy!"

He decided he loved you, thing. That was quick.

Suddenly the boy was so fast! The bulbasaur giggled in surprise as he was caught, wiggling around in Garry's arms.

"Bull baaaaaa!"

Wiggle squirm wiggle. A lick on the little boy's chin.
