It was a dark and stormy night--
Well, no. It wasn't. In fact, it was rather cool and clear, a perfect October evening for the perfect October celebration. Stars winked above, the choice accompaniment to the orange moon looming overhead. Tonight. Tonight would be a party.
But just as the sun begins to set, the sound of cackling can be heard ringing through campus, the harbinger of what could only be described as Halloween Shenanigans.
Woe betide those that fell into her path.

Garry loved his grandpa okay. Admires him and thinks he's the coolest person; he's so real with him when it comes to painting and drawing.
"You need to see what he does, it's so cool!"

"The best artist ever?! Really?!" If he was the best artist ever, then he had to make amazing things! Like more awesome than Princess Rider or Rekkaman Blaze amazing! "What kinda stuff does he draw? Does he draw? Or does he...make those..."

X tapped his chin in thought with a small hum.
"Maybe he's drawing grownup stuff?"

Now let's chime with concentrated small hums. "What would be grownup stuff?"
After a few seconds...
"Maybe he paints pictures about doing taxes? Grownups do taxes...That's a weird thing to paint."

Which gave X an idea.
He decided to do some research, switching to Interface for a moment and throwing the term "Grownup stuff" in the search bar.
...Huh. So singing was grownup stuff? Weird...
...and watching...people sleep with very little clothes on?
Grownups did strange things.
"Maybe...um. Drinking wine or something?"
That gave more insight than the pictures he found, that was for sure.

"Drinking wine AND doing taxes?"

But what exactly did that look like? Someone sitting at a desk? X didn't know how someone could draw a bunch of pictures looking like that...
Or unless...they were in different colors?! Like the wine was white in one, or green in another, representing...something. X wasn't sure exactly what, but artists were all into those double-meanings and things like that, so that had to be it.
"Maybe! Or that thing that people do when they hold hands or kiss in public."
Though Dr. Cain didn't avert his eyes when he looked at that, but X never saw kids doing it...
