The game attracted millions of viewers. This specific event, perhaps over a billion. And so it was at Smash Academy, everyone gathered around the bigscreen television in the common room to watch two teams run a ball around a field.

There were snacks. Lots of them. And drinks. Lots of them. And someone had brought a foam football that was currently being tossed around the room. It was entirely possible that people were already drunk, but be it off beer or simply the contact high from being around sports fans was impossible to tell.

Cyrus had no idea why he was there.

Well no, that wasn't entirely true. He had come in order to study others, and figure out what about them brought them together. The teams--the Donut Plains Chucks vs the New Pork City Giants--inspired such loyalty against all reason that it was worth studying.

But it was irritating, incredibly so. The rules were incomprehensible, the game was needlessly violent, and the company was loud and inebriated.

Screw the football, he was just here for the nachos and the beer.

Okay, and maybe the chaos the foam football might cause.

New Pork City Giants...is that like...aw whatever. It's football. Dude time. Mac was here for the dude time. Plus he loved football, it was very manly.

Mac sat with a bottle of root beer and was just taking it all in. A lot of his buddies left, but he was pretty cool with it. Things happen, blah blah. He'll miss them, blah blah blah. Never goodbye, blah blah. Now was football fun.

He was just cheering for...a team. Which team should he root for uh. Both?

Okay Mac will cheer for both and look incredibly stupid.

Don't worry Mac, there's a Red who is confused and simply linefacing next to you as he drinks root beer with a bowl of nachos in his lap. He wasn't into sports, but he figures that he can't refuse free food and drink.

Every time Mac cheers, he looks up with a confused expression on his face. He was cheering really often. Did he support both teams? Was that common with sports as it was for Pokemon battles?

Football was one of those American sports. Kanji didn't know too much about it, but he didn't exactly follow sports too much anyway.

However, this was the kind of thing manly dude-bro men did, right? They gathered around and watched American football. So obviously Kanji wanted to prove that he was a manly tough guy who was into that kind of thing. Besides, football was kind of like a sport where people violently jump on each other, right? It sounded pretty cool.

Besides, he recognized Mac, the cool guy who liked to box. So he sat by him and said, "'Sup?"

Mac was getting excited over a touchdown by one of the teams when Kanji showed up.

"Kanji!" Mac said, happy to see him!

"Hey man, y'here to watch the game?"

That's WHY he was here, obviously right?

Americanized football-- it was a game Cammy didn't have much exposure to at all. Regardless, the idea of actually just sitting in front of the television and celebrating in excess (or at least watching others do so) was incredibly refreshing after months of plotting, fighting, and exasperation. She wandered into the common room to see other loudly cheering at the actions on the screen, and found a place off to the side to sit. She acknowledged Cyrus' presence with a furrowed brow, and sunk comfortably into one of the chairs.

Jon didn't care for parties. Jon cared only a little for Football that wasn't ACTUAL Football and that he wasn't PLAYING. However, Jon DID care for beer and nachos.

So, he helped himself to a sizeable portiuon of each and sat himself down in the chair next to Cammy's. At least there was someone here who he was on good terms with.

"Oi."

She leaned forward at her friend's appearance, flashing a smile at him.

"Afternoon. Bring back any glorious memories of Capcom?" She asked, referring to the game on the television.

Knuckles was ignoring the living hell out of Cyrus. But he was loving the atmosphere. He grabbed the ball out of the air and threw it to someone else before helping himself to another mug of beer.

Hey, wait, since when were they allowed beer in the school common room? Oh. Goose was here so.. uuhhh... he was making sure everyone was secure. Because he was Security. Yeeeeah.

He didn't really follow either of these teams so could be happy no matter WHO won!

And when she flopped down on the couch, some of the chips flew out of the bowl. Daisy, are you prepared to fetch them from the legs and shoulders and even hair of the guy who just a few months ago tried to blow up the school (among everything else)?

So it was a game where a group of muscled men charged, tackled and threw other men, all in order to protect some odd-shaped ball.

Seemed legit.

If the violent nature of the game hadn't been enough to catch her attention, all that free, delicious food waiting to be devoured, did. Was that tray of nachos and case of soda for the entire party? Not anymore, it wasn't.

Okay, fine, maybe Goose was willing to share, but he so wanted some of those nachos, too.

Just... trying to snag a few drippy, cheesy ones from this afro chick.

"Dude, don't choke yerself by stuffin' all that food." He crackled a laugh.

You know who loved football? Surge loved football. The school's team was good and all, but nothing beat watching a professional game, even if it was only on a TV and not live. It was as American as apple pie and Fourth of July.

Surge's first move when he got there was to grab a beer. And then maybe some wings because aw yeah tailgating food. He didn't even care who won, nor did he even know either of the teams. All that mattered was that it was going to be an exciting game.

Oh hey, wasn't that the electric type gym leader from Kanto... or something? Somewhat cool guy that helped Lash and him do some training. Surge, or something like that.

"'Ey." Alex greeted the other, trying to be a little decent with manners.

Kanji was here watching the game. Yep. He had initially said hi to Mac, but if you want to bother him, go ahead.

Alex wasn't a big fan of interacting with a large group of people, but if it was watching people slamming into each other and people yelling, he could care less of being around people.

So there he was, enjoying the party.

At some point, Alex started poking at Gamera to fall over because he got bored of the TV while they were on a break.
