[[ OOC notice. This post will act as a hub for hotel antics outside the bath areas. Each room (or place should you go exploring with your buddies) will be it's own thread IN THIS POST. Those of you STARTING threads make sure you fill the subject line appropriately (like "so & so's room " or "the grand buffet") for easy indexing. If comment threads get squished too far into the right after a while, feel free to start a new part 2 thread.

TEGAKI THREADS ARE ALSO ALLOWED. Anyone who begins a Tegaki log, post a link to that tegaki thread in a new thread WITHIN THIS POST as you would a new LJ room log.

Lastly, there's internet access so you can post personal thoughts and things in your regular journals but you don't need to link them here.

Charmeleon shrugged in response, giving his tail a little wave. "Can't really help it, boss. Water don't agree with me. Only way to keep this thing safe is to make sure it never touches any. As for, uh..." He waved a hand at their highly flammable surroundings. "I can just try an' keep my tail up, and it should be okay."

He tilted his head at mention of the bus ride and sighed. To be honest... he'd loved it. The whole thing had been a huge thrill to him. Pity Green didn't seem to think so, too. "I didn't think the bus was too bad, though. Flyin' was neat. Oh well. If wild rides don't agree with you, that's okay too. When I'm a Charizard, I'll make sure I take it easy when I'm carryin' you around."

Oops, Green had let his slightly weaker side show again, why was it so easy around his Pokemon? Or at least when others weren't paying attention. "Whaaat? No way! Riding fast on you has a Charizard would be a blast. Don't think I'm some wuss who can't handle a fast ride." I just wish it wasn't a life or death situation.

Green walked up to Charmeleon and picked up his tail a bit to look at it. He knew he wasn't going to get any sleep worrying about a fiery ruins in the morning. "Well when it's time to sleep, I'll just make sure to keep an eye on it for a while to make sure it doesn't wave around." He went to start unpacking his stuff, he still had to get into his swim trunks after all.

"Hey, you still gonna go to the springs even if you can't really swim?"

"That ain't what I was sayin', boss! Don't get me wrong, I know you're the toughest guy around." Charmeleon chuckled at his trainer's reaction -- of course Char was the last person alive who'd ever see Green as a wuss. "If you wanna go fast, though, you just wait 'til I evolve. Then we'll have a real good time."

He went quiet when Green touched his tail, though. That flame on the end was something he was a bit protective of. Understandably so; that was his very life itself flicking there. Anyone else and he never would have let them touch his tail, but Green... well, of course he was special. "Don't worry about it, boss. I'll switch back to my normal form and just sleep on my back so I can hold onto it. My flame don't burn me none when I've got scales." It wasn't the comfiest way to sleep, but it was safer than letting his tail get anywhere near the floor, at least.

"...Yeah, I figure I may as well. I can still put my feet in and stuff, I just can't go in too deep. Beats sittin' around here on my own, anyway."

Green smirked, Charmeleon was so easy to read for Green only because they acted so alike. "I know it'll be boring but we can always hang out later right? There's a buffet and junk, so go hang out with some people. Swimming ain't the whole trip. As for sleeping... I know you don't really like it but would you rather sleep in the Pokeball? That way you wouldn't risk burning anything but... It's up to you." He didn't want to force him into it but gave him the option anyway.

He walked to the bathroom with his bag and decided to change into his swimming stuff. "We should hurry up, I think it's already open now."

It was true that Charmeleon hated his pokeball. Being in it made him feel so... cut off. Even if he was right by Green, it wasn't the same as being out in the open with him. Still... it would be trouble if he burned the hotel to the ground, and at least he wouldn't need to worry about watching his tail. "...Eh. I'll think about it, boss."

Anyway, may as well get ready to head out. Wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun.
