Lastly, there's internet access so you can post personal thoughts and things in your regular journals but you don't need to link them here.

"Ye seem a bit down, that's why," Linebeck hmphed. "Ye prob'ly need some rum or something. Go order some fer yerself..."

Linebeck chuckled a little at Oak, who seemed a little surprised at thinking all the problems for people could be solved by booze.

"...Ye ain't too old for that stuff right?"

"Ahh, why no, I'm actually not!" he grinned, shaking his head. "Besides, I couldn't, I'm just..not in the mood for it."

He paused, chuckling, "Why no, not just yet.."

"...Alrighty then," Linebeck said as he ordered another bottle of rum.

Settling comfortably in his barstool, he mulled over his near-empty drink before talking, "So...how was the experience with that Manafi kid? He's quite a handful..."

"It was actually quite the blast! At first it was a tad confusing, however my Aides at my lab had a fun time reading and adding this to my research."

He chuckled, actually cheering up a tad, he was so tired of his Aides and their constant nagging and such, and he needed a break from it. They were even leaving him messages and calling him while he was on the trip!

"A blast eh? _{It certainly wasn't when a coupla people got swapped when he came over to the school with me...}" Linebeck muttered. "And wot kinda crazy research do you do anyway? Are those Pokomons actually that interesting?"

"Indeed!", he nodded, fixing his collar quickly. "Well, I concentrate on Pokémon and human relationships~" he chuckled, nodding again. "And yes~ I've dedicated my life to this study, and everyday there's something different!"

However, it wasn't until he actually said that, that it reminded him of something. "Say, Linebeck.." he started, taking out his notepad. "How DID Manaphy and yourself meet? I'm rather curious!"

"Huh," Linebeck ignored the Pokemon stuff, for it seemed more boring than some of the other academic topics like history ((PFFF)).

But he was more than willing to talk about the student he had brought to the school, although in truth Linebeck just happened to be on the same boat to SBG with the Manaphy kid.

"Well...he just happen'd ter be around in the docks at the same time I was returnin' from counseling a bunch of bratty campers with...a friend. He was pretty excited but didn't really know how ter go...so I helped. I kinda became his guardian or whatever ye call it...He's a bit hyper but an okay kid. Why d'you ask?"

"How exciting!", he laughed, scribling down notes as fast as he could, taking all he could on it. "Well, I was just curious, you talk about him a lot. And I figured this would be an easy time to ask."

"Mhm...well I might as well, he scared the living years outta me, diving off the ship to play for the entire day before coming back...all laughin and such...of course he'd sober up a bit when he did somethin' bad...but pfff...he's a good kid. I'm proud ter have met him..." Linebeck trailed off before stopping himself from talking too much. "Hey, ye better not tell anyone that. Hmph!"

As he finished writing what he said he nodded, stuffing it back in. "Ah, don't worry, your affection toward him will be kept secret, Linebeck!" he joked, running a hand through his hair. "It makes sense, though. Manaphy is a water pokemon, so it'd naturally want to go out into the water~"

"..." Linebeck looked at him as if he wanted to shake the living daylights out of the old man; but he did not.

Instead, he got his order of rum and made Oak drink it...ALL OF IT.

In great surprise he began to choke on some of it, trying to keep himself as sober as he could, he was not going down that easily!

"Pfff," Linebeck snorted; knowing Oak was a lightweight, he decided to spill whatever was left of the booze on his head before sauntering off. After all, he had seen Goose with a pretty friggin weird dress and wanted to see why he was doing so.

Oak was pretty much shocked by the ordeal, sitting there dripping with rum. He sighed, spitting out what he could into a napkin. He took a moment to try to get as much cleaned up and out of his hair before getting up, wanting to get cleaned as quickly as he could.
