Kicking a Boxer when he's down
Who: Mac and YOU
What: Mac is very, very much in bad shape in the hospital. Are you there to see him?
Where: Some hospital room in Intensive Care...which will move to a better hospital room eventually.
When: November 30 - December 10th
Warnings: Bawwwwwww
"He almost had Hypovolemic Shock," that's what the doctor would have said if your character walked in the moment they saw the news.
"He lost a scary amount of blood."
When they took him in, Mac was breathing heavily and his blood pressure was low. But. He was lucky. The murderer didn't hit any organs. But he made up for that by draining a large amount of blood out of Mac. Which would have shut down his organs. What would have made it worse, is that in ICU, Mac could not have been seen that whole day. He was in surgery, tests were taken, all that scary stuff went on through most of the day.
Finally, evening. Mac was stable. If your character was still around, the doctor came out to say more.
"He's a very lucky boy. We closed up all his wounds and he's getting blood transfused. He's still not well and we're going to have to watch him for a while but he should make a full recovery. He will be healthy in no time. You can visit him tomorrow."
But recovery has it's stages. And with the murderer still out there...well...Just talk to Mac about how he's feeling.
[Put a date when your character was there (if they were someone who visited everyday, obviously note that on one thread but don't do 10 threads obviously, that would be kinda crazy lmao). Also, as the days go by, Mac's condition does get better (I'd say...starting around the 5th). Just noting that in case your dude wanted to pry info out of a defeated Mac on the murderer.]

November 30th, early morning
He wasn't excited about that, nor did he want to see it, but he wanted to see him. To make sure he would be okay. The doctor told him he would recover, surely, and yet...
He shut his eyes tightly and knocked on the door. "May I come in?"
Re: November 30th, early morning
It took a few seconds and it was very weak but Mac spoke up. He was clearly still very much out of it. He didn't even recognize the voice at first.
Whenever N decided to open his eyes, it really was a pathetic sight. Mac was pale but still looking like he was sweating. It was like he was half dead, all the life came out of his usually healthy looking face. He looked incredibly tired too. His legs used to be hanging in the air, but since his circulation improved, they went down. However, the support system was still around his feet. He had an IV by which he was getting blood.
Re: November 30th, early morning
N rushed up to him, his face full of strong concern and pure anger.
"Who did this to you?!"

EVERYDAY (well, most days from November 30 onwards)
There would be a man in a blue suit sitting crosslegged on a chair and more often than not, reading a book. If it wasn't a book, it was usually a Neentendo GS with the volume turned down in his hand. But there was nothing more than this man sitting in silence, and waiting until his friend could speak once again.
Every now and again, a blue canine kind of Pokemon could be seen beside him. It was usually standing to attention, guarding the door. Occasionally, a tiny plant-like Pokemon would look confusedly at the monitors but it would stay close and silent to its trainer, looking worried at the patient on the bed. Why wasn't he moving that much...?
And in his head, Riley was absorbed in thought.
Re: EVERYDAY (well, most days from November 30 onwards)
Mac did stir awake eventually and he turned his head to face Riley.

He visited on the first day and has checked back till Mac can reasonably see a few people each day.
Knuckles was so glad that he could finally see his pal. He must have been here five or six times already with no luck. Once he'd come in and Mac had been asleep. Knuckles had just chilled for a couple of hours until it was obvious that the guy wasn't waking up any time soon. That was alright - the body fixed itself best when it was in a state of rest, after all, and that was the main thing.
Finally, he walked into the ward and saw Mac with his eyes open and moving. He breathed a releived sigh. Resisting his impulse to run over, he walked slowly, hands in pockets.
"Hey, man... Good to see you awake. You get my card?"
It was a small thing. Something he picked up at the Wallmark store with a picture of a cat on it, wearing boxing gloves and hanging onto the ropes. 'Hang in there, Champ!' was written in bold font across the top. He'd simply signed it, not knowing what else to write.

"Yeah, I got it," Mac said quite clearly. "That was the best card I've ever seen, man."
Mac smiled very softly. He was even sitting up at this point, wow. It hurt a bit still since he was stitched like no tomorrow.

Forward dated to the 6th
He decided to wait until he figured the victim would be in better condition, and he even brought some flowers so he wouldn't come off as a completely heartless person only visiting to get information. Well, okay, that was why Phoenix was visiting, but he still felt terrible for the poor guy.
So, when he entered Mac's room, he smiled a bit, holding the flowers. "Hey there," he greeted, "I don't know if you know me, but I'm Mr. Wright, the political science teacher at Smash Academy. I wanted to see how you were doing."
Re: Forward dated to the 6th
"...Eh?" Mac said, in shock. He didn't know this man, but the gesture was nice. Mac was no jerk at all. "Oh, hey. N-nice to meetcha...I'm guessin' you know my name by now, hahaha..."
Obviously he came because Phoenix heard he was in here. He laughed but out of sheer lightheartedness...not really out of "joyous laughter".
"...I'm gettin' better, I guess."

Almost Every Day
;-;
November 30th, early in the day
He rushed into the hospital and wasted no time to ask the nurse where Mac's room was. Needless to say, he rushed upwards towards the room, only to stop when he heard the doctor's words.
Hesitantly, he opened the door once they left, "... Mac?"

UH... LATER. DECEMBER 5?
So there he was, with a bag of candies. Candies always made people smile, right?
A pink ball was peering in from the doorway.

He came in more than once, but we can thread the first visit! November 30th, early early morning
When he was finally granted access to the hapless boxer's ward (he had some problems along the way), it was all he could do to contain himself from knocking over trays to get to his bedside. "Mac!" he cried, fraught with worry. "Are you okay? What happened to you!"
Re: He came in more than once, but we can thread the first visit! November 30th, early early morning
"Nnng..." Mac said as he tried to get together as much strength as he could to bloody reassure his good friend.
"...Gettin' better..."
Well, that was sad.

Yeap. There sure were a lot of tubes on him. She could name all of them too. So when visitors were not allowed, he saw her wearing the working outfit of a nurse once or twice.
OH BBY ALL THE TIME
"...Lash?" Mac said as he talked to what he thought was...working as a nurse?? "When didja...get a nursin' job?"

He arrived to Mac's room and quietly knocked on the door.
