[The weather outside is cold. More than below freezing. It was only a matter of time then.

By tomorrow, the entire campus will be covered in a tiny layer of white.]

She didn't quite expect that and gravity did the rest, pulling the two bounty hunters to the ground from the tackling motion. The result was an awkward landing and angry, desperate squirming.

In said squirming, Samus managed to knee the side of the car. It suddenly and abruptly wailed in reply with a car alarm.

To which caused Samus to cease in her struggle. The alarm going off was abrupt and jarring enough from whatever exchange of anger and amusement was resulting from their stupid competition to set her into a small laugh. Slowly, and quietly to herself and probably couldn't be immediately heard over the alarm, but, yes, that was pretty funny.

He was about to make an offhand (and rather smug) comment about how he couldn't seem to stay clean whenever she was around (he was sort of getting deja-vu to a similar incident that involved wrestling in some mud), but the noise drowned out his words. The two bounty hunters crashed into the sludge as the car beeped and honked and wailed.

Oops.

Her laughter proved contagious, though it was quiet, it didn't stop Falcon from joining in at a significantly louder volume. Any previous accusations of being a cheater or a baby were forgotten in favor of the sheer hilarity of the situation. The Captain's general response to alarms was to leave the scene immediately and, still laughing, he grabbed Samus by the wrist and started to haul her up. "Come on."

She accepted his hand and was similarly urged to get out of there at the sound of alarms. They were covered in cold, dirty, snowy slush and whoever's car this was was probably going to have a hissy fit, but that was just fine with her.
