Roommate Partay!

Who: Everybody ever
What: OPEN LOG! ROOMIE LOG
Where: Your dorm room and beyond
When: From November 16-24
Warnings: Don't even get me started.

You heard the "what"! It's a roomie log! What does this mean for our dudes? It's a good way to build CR between characters who are meant to interact on a daily basis, but somehow you never really get the chance to stick them together otherwise, in logs or commentspam or whatever! Here is a good chance.

Before you start a thread, I'd suggest getting the okay from the other character's mun just in case. Basically, just add a thread with the room number (and date/time, if it matters) and take it where you will! Go crazy, do whatever. Story swapping. Bed jumping. Nail painting. Slug wars in sleeping bags. ~It can be yours, my friend, as long as you make a thread.~

Don't just limit yourself to one thread, either. If it so appeases you, you could hold a thread with more than just two characters (Man cave in BE-01), or if that one thread between your two dudes wasn't enough, make another one for a different time. Have fun, guys! Get ready to bug your roommates and next-door neighbors. BLOCK PARTY BLOCK PARTY and then the RAs kicked everyone out.

"There are also many student trainers that are no doubt influential..."

Vianca blinked down at Gamera's tugging. For a moment she did nothing, slightly perplexed by what the turtle was trying to convey this time. After a moment, she looked to Raiden for some sort of explanation.

"That makes sense." Didn't Lash just have a baby Skamory or whatever it was?

To her silent inquiry Raiden let out a soft laugh. "I think he wants you to pet him. He likes it on top of the head."

Gamera waggled his tail cutely lowering your defenses.

Sneaky...

"Oh."

Vianca stared down at him again. Petting... The redhead crouched down again. She seemed awfully apprehensive about this for whatever reason. This wasn't a big deal though. Not at all. She reached out tentatively. It wasn't like a dog or a cat that was going to nip at her hand... but turtles nipped too...

"..."

There. She did it. Her hand was resting very gently on the top of his head.

"..."

DO TURTLES PURR? I don't know, but Gamera was making some kind of content sound and leaning into her dainty touch, urging her for more.

[identity profile] notsotoxic.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well. That was. A thing. Vianca supposed she must have been doing it right, as that didn't sound much like a growl at all. Feeling slightly more content that her hand was not going to disappear in its mouth, Vianca hesitantly started to brush her hand across Gamera's head.

It was an awkward motion that made it easily apparent that Vianca had not been in the habit of petting things before this.

AWKWARD, but pets were pets. Gamera seemed satisfied enough and remained standing under her hand, silently requesting that she continue.

Raiden wasn't sure what to make of it other than state the obvious. "I think he likes you."

Pet pet pet. This wasn't so bad.

She looked over at Raiden, causing a short lapse in stroking the head providing the requested signs of affection. Her eyebrows lifted in a very slight sign of surprise. "... Does he?"

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Was she messing with him? "Yeah." He answered after a few moments of silence and watching his Pokemon BATHE in AFFECTION.

He idly wondered if this would dare to become habitual requests of affection.

"...What's your name?"

[identity profile] notsotoxic.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
No, that was just a genuine question. She had watched people a lot, not turtles. Who knew what turtles were thinking.

Pet pet.

"Vianca."

They were thinking something between yeah that's the spot and haha he is probably so jealous I totally got out of having to get a lightbulb.

[identity profile] notsotoxic.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Oh so that's what they were thinking. How very enlightening. If only Vianca had unlocked the hidden potentials of her telepathic powers...

"It is nice to meet both of you, Raiden."

His shirt said his name was Raiden. It had to be true.

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
This was the first time, if not, then the first time in a long time that someone actually paid attention to his name tag. Raiden smiled. A soft little, genuine sort of smile as opposed to the quick, forced ones he usually wore.

"Yeah. That's me."

[identity profile] notsotoxic.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
It was good to know that the staff was not in the habit of wearing misleading name tags. Vianca didn't smile, though she appreciated the confirmation, but she nodded again. She was gently rubbing a spot on Gamera's head that was reflecting the hallway's light.

Then she stood up, giving Raiden a little bow of her head. "I shouldn't disrupt you from your work."

[identity profile] whitedeviljack.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
Raiden agreed somewhere in the back of his head that he should get back to work, though the distraction was admittedly nice. He returned the nod.

"It was nice meeting you."

Gamera looked SO DISAPPOINTED but removed himself from her side and gave a little wave.

[identity profile] notsotoxic.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"You as well."

Vianca watched Gamera's actions for a moment before she awkwardly lifted a hand and gave a short, mimicked action with her fingers. That one wasn't used very often...

And then she excused herself to head to the library, no doubt to re-read whatever books she could find about Pokemons and Gameras and quite possibly janitorial functions.
