Roommate Partay!

Who: Everybody ever
What: OPEN LOG! ROOMIE LOG
Where: Your dorm room and beyond
When: From November 16-24
Warnings: Don't even get me started.

You heard the "what"! It's a roomie log! What does this mean for our dudes? It's a good way to build CR between characters who are meant to interact on a daily basis, but somehow you never really get the chance to stick them together otherwise, in logs or commentspam or whatever! Here is a good chance.

Before you start a thread, I'd suggest getting the okay from the other character's mun just in case. Basically, just add a thread with the room number (and date/time, if it matters) and take it where you will! Go crazy, do whatever. Story swapping. Bed jumping. Nail painting. Slug wars in sleeping bags. ~It can be yours, my friend, as long as you make a thread.~

Don't just limit yourself to one thread, either. If it so appeases you, you could hold a thread with more than just two characters (Man cave in BE-01), or if that one thread between your two dudes wasn't enough, make another one for a different time. Have fun, guys! Get ready to bug your roommates and next-door neighbors. BLOCK PARTY BLOCK PARTY and then the RAs kicked everyone out.

[What was that about?!] Careful! Are you okay? Did you lose balance? [He makes a move to help the Quagsire up.]

[Don't worry too much about Quagsire, Rhys. It is just the biggest derp in the world.]

Quaaaaaaaaaaaag~ [It gets back up onto its feet and just. Stares up at him. STARING. UNWAVERINGLY.

They wouldn't be alone for far too long, though. A certain female's voice came up from behind them.
]

Oh, Quagsire! It looks like someone kept you company!

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh, that was qui- A voice! Rhys cranes his head around to see who that voice belonged to.]

Misty! [He beams] Hello! You must know this... oh! I see! [He looks back at Quagsire] Your Pokemon! Right?

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Rhys! It's good to see you! [She stuffs her mp3 player into her pocket.] I was just out for a run to the gym nearby, so Quagsire was watching the dorm. He is my Pokemon!

Was Quagsire good to you? I bet he was.

[Quagsire responded to that with the biggest ol' grin ever and a hug for his master's leg.]

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Rhsy steps back a little to allow Quagsire all the room he needed to lob love on his trainer.] We only just met. The moment I reached the top of the stairs, there he was, staring right at me. He's a very charming Pokemon. And friendly. I think he's hitting a soft spot of mine! Wait, I have soft spots all over the place

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
He's very friendly! I'm so glad you like him! A lot of trainers thing that Quagsire looks like a dumb Pokemon, but... [She frowns briefly, but quickly perks back up.] They just don't understand that Quagsire are very friendly Pokemon. They're so sweet!

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
He is! Very much so. [He places a hand on top of his head, assuming Quagsire wouldn't mind. Worst that could happen is Quagsire biting his hand off with that massive maw of his! ...oh.]

Hm? Ahah, his head feels so moist! It reminds me of touching a frog.

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-19 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
He's a water- and ground-type, so he's probably going to be a little damp! He's not as soaked as a lot of water-types are, though, because he's a dual-type. He can give you a mean Surf attack, though!

[Quagsire bumped his head against Rhys' hand gently, as if requested to be petted.]

Quagsire's the 'water fish' Pokemon, but it is kind of like a frog! It evolves from a Wooper, which is... kind of like, oh, what's the name... an axolotl? Did I pronounce that right? [She had better experience with water Pokemon than water animals, really.]

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Rhys obliged and gave Quagsire the pats he wanted. ♥ ]

[Wooper? axlaxl? Rhys wasn't familiar with any of those names, really...] I don't know, personally. It's hard to picture this guy looking like a fish. He doesn't look like he has any fins to speak for besides the ridges on his back and tail. [Pet, pet] What's surf attack?

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Explanation time is go!]

Oh, Surf is when a Pokemon attacks by riding a wave of water and crashing it down on another Pokemon! It's one of the best water-type moves around! A few of my Pokemon know how to use it. It can also get trainers to surf across water by riding a Pokemon's back while it's surfing!

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
Ride... on his back? Across the waves? [Rhys seems to brighten up noticeably] But wouldn't you get wet doing that?

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course! That's not a bad thing, though, isn't it? I love getting wet unless I'm going somewhere snowy. [Then again, all things considered, that should be expected of her.]

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[That doesn't sound pleasant at all... /)_(\]

Not necessarily, I suppose. It would make more sense if you were dressed for the water. It sounds like a whole lot of fun, actually... [pause] Do you ride on his back in the wintertime, then?

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-20 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[Totally not sob.]

Oh, I couldn't! Getting into the water in the cold might get me sick. My Pokemon are really resilient, though, so they wouldn't be. They'd be just fine! I do love the cold, so I wouldn't mind if I wouldn't get a cold from it...

[It was actually kind of a shame. It'd be fun surfing around under a very gentle snow.]

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
It must be terribly fun, if you'd be willing to go that far! Um... You don't think it would be too much for me to ask if... well, I could try it out sometime? Ah, n-nevermind. I'd probably get sick even in the summer. Besides, I don't even know how to swim...

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
It might not be a good idea if you don't know how to swim! One of my Pokemon might jerk you off of its back if you're not careful!

[Hmmmm, she thinks for a moment. Her expression then suddenly brightens.] But well, if I went with you on a larger Pokemon, you'd probably be safer! I could help if you fell into the water, too! We could start on my Lapras. She's easy to ride!

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-21 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Lapras? Oh, if only I knew what she looked like... I'm so curious. You're able to send her out of her... um, Pokeball, are you not? Just how large is she!

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
She's pretty big, so I don't think I could send her out here, but...

[AHA! Misty snapped her fingers. She had an idea!] I can still show you what a Lapras looks like! I have some books on water Pokemon in my room. Do you want to check it out?

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, please! If it's not too much trouble. [SO EXCITED. Rhys stop it you get excited too easily.]

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright, just come this way!

[As Misty walks off to the dorm and opens the door for them, Quagsire remains at her feet. She heads for a small bookshelf and removes from it a book solely on the ice-type. She liked researching ice Pokemon in her spare time, as well.

She flipped the pages and finally stopped at a certain page with this (http://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/a/ab/131Lapras.png) picture.
]

See? This is a Lapras!

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-22 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[Rhys was, naturally, in awe. Sparkle sparkle] Ahhh! She's such a beautiful creature! I've never seen anything like it before... And look, she has a big, hard back to ride on. It looks safe and dry.

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-23 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
It's very safe! You could hang onto the spikes of her back, too, so you won't fall off. Lapras is pretty gentle in nature most of the time, so she won't surf too rough either. It's the perfect Pokemon for a surfing beginner.

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 06:42 am (UTC)(link)
That's what it sounds like. It wouldn't work out so well if Lapras was a temperamental Pokemon... I'd hate to see the results if I rode one like that, haha. And the spikes don't look too sharp!

So I guess... you do have a way to ride on the water in the wintertime. It must look awfully pretty, riding near the banks of a snow-covered world...

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] haswetpokemon.livejournal.com 2010-11-30 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
The spikes are smooth and good to hold on to while surfing. Lapras won't throw you off anyway, I promise!

It must be. I wish I could do that. Do you know Sinnoh, a Pokemon region up north? It gets really snowy. It must be so pretty over there...

[Sigh~]

Re: November 19th, during early evening

[identity profile] sicklypriest.livejournal.com 2010-12-06 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
I heard of it, yes... And would you know! I actually did get word of its snowfall. I was acquainted with a Pokemon who came from there. She went for a visit and told me how cold it was up there. Ah, I miss her. I wish I could remember what kind of Pokemon she was...
