Island of the Angels - Sky Riding Paradise turned beachfront property!

Who: Knuckles and assorted friends take a short vacation. (Even if you didn't reply to his initial entry about it, feel free to come along.)
What: Hanging out on Angel Island for the weekend.
Where: Angel Island. Yep. Bet you didn't see that one coming.
When: Late afternoon on Friday through to Sunday morning. (Backdate land aaa sorry I had work.)
Warnings: WHO KNOWS!?



It had been something more of an open invitation this time, so, the group was a little different than his last trip to Angel Island with friends. Actually, most of the people who went the first time were no longer at school. Big, Bark, Katrina, Fawful, Blaze, Marine, Siren. It was a little sad to think of the fun time they had had a little over a year ago, being they were all gone now. Still - This weekend would make up a brand new crop of memories.

It wasn't too long of a trip once you got out of the harbor. He'd made sure to set her down close by the shoreline when he'd parked his small continent in the sea.

The ferry he'd rented pulled up at the beach and the dock he and Bark had quickly constructed out of logs and rope last year in anticipation of the first group trip. Some people were probably going to bring thier own transport over and that was fine. It wasn't exactly a hard place to find, after all.

((OOC: So people seemed pretty happy with the idea of doing some sprite pictures like the last one. If your character already has some sprite sheets, feel free to use those. If not, I've made a couple for a couple people and I'll try doing more. XD Otherwise, if you want to do regular pictures or photoshops or what have you, those are more than fine too. Or, if you don't want to do anything, that's cool too! It's not like it's mandatory bra. XD Just have fun. Use other characters sprites in your stuff, but try keep everything IC.

So, P. much I'll post up some locations and you guys can start threads for your dudes wherever you like and other people can join in. If you have never played Sonic 3 and Knuckles, you could check out this video here. It's a little over a half hour long but it has the entire game. XD If anyone wants to see any other environemnts from the games here, let me know and I'll make them! ))

Goose didn't want his poor beloved Sharky to get filthy with sand (how typical), so he came here alongside Knuckles and whoever else in the rented ferry. He stepped out onto the dock and glanced around and about. Wow, this place was very... tropical on the outskirts. It reminded him very much of Holiday Island.

"Daaamn, this's niiice." He looked up at the various seagulls dotting the air. There were so many of them!

The soft sand and warm sun rays welcomed Amy. With the days growing colder, she could use one last bit of beach. The trip to the island was nothing but peaceful and made for a good start to the day.

"It's so pretty out here, Knuckles," she said, turning to her friend.

Apple Kid looked out at the beach. He was not wearing beach clothes, so it was a little warm for him. He wasn't made for beach clothes anyway.

"Wow this place looks nice," said the fruit-themed child. "Are those penguins?"

Max got off of the boat. He needed a vacation.

And yet it was Max and the chances of him relaxing and having a real vacation was pretty slim.

He saw the boulders off across the beach from the dock. "I bet I could lift most of those."

Was he going to?

The warm rays of the sun shining on Slippy was a welcoming feeling for him as he looked out toward the ocean.

"Wow, this place is beautiful! Reminds me of the nicer beaches on Zoness!"

Normally, Lash would have brought something, but she really wanted to relax today. She rode in Knuckle's ferry, bringing a large back filled with both recreational objects and more serious ones. The trip over, she stepped down and let the warm beach sand move around in her sandals.

"This is much warming than the weather at school!" There were even palm trees and really odd looking plants. Good thing she had brought a few tools to help her work.

Tails had flown his Tornado to get here, since he hadn't taken it out in a while and felt he had to do so. He totally was not showing it off to everyone, nope.

Once he landed, he hopped out alongside everyone (he didn't go too fast, he made sure he was letting the ferry keep up with his bi-plane), and looked at the island in awe; it had been so long since he'd been here.

"This is awesome! I don't know how long it's been since I came here..."

Goombella looked positively thrilled. "It's so beautiful!" she announced excitedly. "I haven't seen a beach that looked this nice since Keelhaul Key! I can't WAIT to go swimming!"

Goombella looked around the forest, taking stock of all the flora. "This is remarkable," she commented. "I've never seen some of these species before!"

Goose stepped into the jungle area, swatting vines dangling over his head and his precious hair. He immediately noticed plenty of trees with fruit, some that he recognized and some that he didn't.

As he plucked off a banana, he asked, "This a good spot?"

This happened to be one of Goose's first stops. Look at all the little... weird... things. Whatever in the world they are. They looked kind of neat, but so overly cutesy.

Pit stood atop a hill with a low slope that sneaked down and ran into water. The pool below was speckled with Chao, and they seemed like such carefree creatures to the young angel. They made him smile and he hadn't even acquainted himself with one yet. Truthfully, he was a little shy.

He'd heard about them from Knuckles that day and longed to meet one; finally, his opportunity gleamed. They looked almost identical to how he pictured them in his head. Sweet little inhabitants of this island. Really cute, too. Could they transform into him? If he was fit enough to, could he turn them into angelic figures? Pit wondered if Knuckles was closeby.

Tails remembered the Chao, and was surprised to see some of them here. He immediately walked down and pet a couple of them. Surprisingly, a couple of the chao recognized him from Sonic Adventure 2 and walked up to him with hearts replacing the little spheres above their heads.

Slippy found himself locked in a staring contest with one of the Chao. The two looked at each other with curiosity, never seeing the other's kind before.

OH GOD OH GOD A CARNIVAL OH GOD. Goose automatically felt right at home here. The tropical feelings around the area outside of the island first, and now this beautiful, expansive carnival, full of little twisties and turnies.

He was in paradise.

"Goddamn, what to do first?" He gasped, indecisive as to what to mess around with. He may have nabbed a red and a blue balloon.

He promptly turned back and left just as fast as he had entered. That went over well.

Max had no clue as to where in the world he was, just that there were arches and waterfalls and and stuff.

Max looked around for something to try to lift.
